  • ryans got the funk,he got the funk yeah...love it.

  • This is my anthem.

  • Truly a NYC/Philly CLASSIC. That area was clearly THE center of the dance world late 70s thru early 80s. NYC was on fire! This was all over the boxes, in the streets and parks.

  • This song brings back my childhood memories. I remember going to one of the Positive Force concerts as a little girl around age 9. I'm the daughter of Bernard Roland in the red and white suit. That was my first concert and I remember feeling so proud of my father. I'm such a daddy's girl. This song still puts a smile on my face and is enjoyable to listen to.

  • Im 13 years old and I think the song tops the music of today by far, end of

  • @yoyoyde very wise young man u r....please let the kids know what is real

  • Positive Force was a house band that played for the Sugar Hill Gang (Rapper's Delight). Brian Morgan is on guitar and he's making that thang talk! Play boy!!

  • The singer sounds like the girl that sings 'must be the music"

  • OMG!!!! This tune was (and still is) my favorite!!! When I first listened to this song, it sounded like they're having a party in the background of the recording studio lol. Thank you so much for bringing me back to Funky Classics Lane!!!! YOU ROCK!!! Added to my playlist!!!!

  • Agree with Pascal..... Where did the groove go?

I'll vinyl rip it if I have to, this is absolutely fantastic. As a child of the 90's, I can honestly say that I agree with many of the nostalgic disco folk who commented on this video.

  • We got the funk but I think the black community has lost the funk. Everything today is watered down pathetic rap, hip hop crass materialism and commercialism. How did it ever replace the great music that the blacks put out back then. It's doesn't even come close to the old school hip hop artists who and rappers were at least geniune and original and brought something new to the table. Bring back the good funk and soul that you know how to do.

  • @pluggedin2u SOULED THEIR SOULS TO THE DEVIL... put anything out just for a dollar & dont care if it makes folks jump out their seats like this one does to us 70's/80's cats... do you think that the garabge of 2day will move a crowd like this joint does/did.. Disco/Jazz Funk never dies it went underground & had a baby & called it HOUSE!!

  • Did you know that B angie B is now angela stone.

    Bobby Hall (cheyney state 1981)

  • Ihad the funk then and miss the great tunes from back in the day.Kids don't know shit today, there music sucks!

  • I was like 7 years old when this song was out. My older sister used to play it to death. It brings back a lot of in house memories.

  • this is a another house classic

  • Musicminor25 - thanks for the post. Growing up I remember this funky jam; although I didn't know the group was from Harrisburg, PA (I've got folk from there) Philly's in the house!

  • We got the Funk... YEAH !!

  • Gold. Yet another gem from back in the day from NYC, the incubator for today's music from house to rap to hip hop to electro, etc.

  • When i listen to this song today I ask myself what did happens to black music today? where did groove goes?

  • @pascal71ful i think is still in other underground music, just like broken beat. Its pretty soulful and groovy, but not really well known.

  • @pascal71ful You're right ! I think blck music forget to contrôl production and managering ! It's more important to propulse young black creation ! But black prefer to create a smple music in rap !!! African-American lose there power in rap !!!

  • @camafrik No doubt about that.

  • @pascal71ful That's exactly what I'm trying to find out. In fact, urban radio in NYC is so half ass that they barely play anything that's good these days.

  • @pascal71ful It was replaced by thugs rapping and sampling...

  • @pascal71ful

    probably in your ass

  • @pascal71ful Today's funkless , feckless recording producers chased the easy money instead of pursuing excellence like back in the day, thereby losing The Groove.

  • @pascal71ful to fried chicken

  • @pascal71ful I ask myself the same question every fuckin days when I listen the fuckin radio -> fuck new school

  • Watch out. When a 30 year old hit feels like yesterday, you know what is happening!

  • This is the S#@%!%!!!!!!!!

  • when i hear this song i get the shivers up me back and never forget the old day 70s classical music

  • colleeeeeeeeeeette's got the funk!
