  • I've had asthma for 5 years and I was rushed to the hospital during my track meet my airways were almost closing. I had to get oxygen, nebulizer treatment and prednisone. I had to learn how to deal with asthma and how to take control of it. Asthma has taught me to not take breathing for granted before I had asthma I took breathing for granted. Asthma has also taught me to not take life for granted.

  • This sounds nearly the exact same as me but I just turned 16 when it first started to happen I've spent so much time in hospital this year it sucks I no how u feel -3

  • i remember when i was first diagnosed with asthma i hated it. my asthma has slowly been getting worse :/. i would not wish on anyone i mean i know there are more serious diseases out there but this is life threatening too:/. i really miss being able to take a normal breath while running or exercising :/

  • Wow, this is a very emotionally moving video! I had to try to not cry while watching it. Nicole is a brave little soldier and I wish her all the best. I am going to use this video in a school presentation about asthma in children. Thank you for making it. You are a good friend!

  • OMG this brought tears to my eyes I am 16 and only have asthma mildly. Some of the things that i do to prevent attacks is take my meds b4 physical activity, stay hydrated, sleep in cool areas at night and most importantly inform people around me.with a supportive group it makes things so much easier on you.I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

  • I have asthma too. I was diagnosed with asthma when I was 4. Now I'm 20 yrs old and I hate asthma. I need to take 2 types of inhalers and tablets too. And last year I almost died because an asthma attack. Few hours ago, I had another asthma attack and thanks god bcz it not so bad. Sorry for my bad English.

  • ...i am turning 15 in 2 months and i am so fed up with asthma its not funny and it pains me so much to see that someine else has been diagnosed and is suffering from something i wish upon noone not even my worst enemy...keep fighting, be strong, try to have fun, and hope that one day there may be a cure

  • ....i have also been hospitalised countless times, stopped breathing about 4 times i think and been in the ICU too many times to remember.. oh you got anestetic for the blood gases they took mine in the ICU without any pain relief or anything and it was friken painful the guy is like ive never had anyone who hasnt flinched when i have done that (probably because i was barely concious)...

  • oh that sucks im also asthmatic but i was diagnosed when i was just a baby so i dont know what its like to not struggle to breath i have never actually slept through a whole night eithout waking up because i couldnt breathe and at least once a week i get an asthma attack, but i usually get 1 mild one a day. i have never known anything but asthma so i dont know how effortless it is to breath without asthma to not have to think about every breath. it sucks so badly.
