Im hoping that it will give the player the option to choose what happen in certain parts of the story in the first game since ME1 isnt able to come to the ps3, bc i think alot of ppl played the story through doing ever single thing on the 1st one...Which made story changes in the 2nd one...Lets just hope
@Mrpuddin100 it does. it has a comic sequence where you get to choose what you did in the last game. but sometimes it glitches. the first time i went through the game i didn't get the comic sequence and was pissed thinking that they made all the decisions for what happened in the first game. great game just a lot of bugs in it.

the only problem I have with this is that the PS3 version will include the both of the major DLCs and Kasumi from the start. That's a bullshit move by Bioware. 360 owners had to pay the original $60 for the game and the extra for the two downloads. How can they claim to care about the fans and pull this move on the 360 fans who, from what I've seen, have been nothing but loyal and supportive.

How are you to play ME2 without having played the 1st? you wont even be able to import all the decisions from your ME1 character. for that reason only the pc/360 version is best.

Why would 360 fan boys cry about the ps3 getting mass effect 2? I own both a ps3 and a 360 and beat mass effect 2 about a year before the ps3 got it as well as all the downloadable content. Also, unless the ps3 also gets mass effect 1 ported to it a large part of the game will be missed as mass effect is a story centric game that takes into account the decisions you made in the first game. If you haven't brought a 360, or the first mass effect I would strongly advise you do.
@RaiderGFY Theres a bunch of games where I never played the first one but I beat the sequel to it, I don't know why 360 owners use this as an excuse because they lost there best game. I even know ppl who got stuck on Mass effect 1 but beat Mass Effect so its really not a big deal.
Their gonna put some of the gameplay from ME1 included in ME2 +ALL DLC because it all fits in one Blue-Ray disc btw fuck x-box i don't see why people think its still better they almost have no exclusives xDDDD

That's freaking awesome guys, but i have a question. Are they thinking of releasing Mass Effect on the PS3 as well, so we, as Playstation players, can upload out lv 50-60 chars from the first game to the second. I ask because not everyone killed off the council, nor wanted to have a harder time getting resources or everyones loyalty due to no paragon/renegade points and resource transfers from the first game.
Mass Effect was always developed by Bioware. The Xbox version of Mass Effect was published by Microsoft Studios, while the PC port was published by Electronic Arts. I think that explains it enough..

I didn't know you mean failure rate. The failure rate was NEVER 54%. That poll was given to anyone that visited the site hosting it. Rediculous fanboys could have easily swayed the polls. Last years the relatively newer Jasper models had a 4% failure rate according to square trade. And the new X360 slim is actually even more reliable than the PS3 slim.

You DO realize that X360 owners have alot of other methods to watching movies right? Right off the bat the X360 can upscale DVDs through HDMI. Then there is the Zune HD marketplace which was thousands of movies and new releases on there for you to stream or download in 1080p for a cheap price. Then there is Netflix, which I'm sure you have heard of unless you have been living under a rock :P. According to EG 360 owners log 1 billion hours a month with these services.

There are other factors. Like online services, game libraries, etc. TBH, the X360's library looks more appealing to "HARDCOER GAEMRS". But 2011 looks to be a good year for PS3.
@MegaShot419 I agree, some people are willing to pay 60 bucks for a better online service, but some don't want to so they stick with PSN, its all about budget, and ya 360 has hardcore games, but don't say that PS3 doesn't, when it comes to games I love them both equally, I am a casual FPS fan so I play all of my shooters on the 360, and I love racing games so thats on the 360 too, but PS3 I play RPGs, Action, Adventure, a few exclusive shooters, and hack and slash games

Your beginning to sound like MLD. Sales don't equal quality. And an 83 on metacritic is excellent for a new IP. You never even played Alan Wake yet you say Heavy Rain was better? If you played both, you know the two can't be compared. They aren't the same at all. Alan Wake is my runner up for GOTY. If it wasn't for the cliff-hanger ending I would have gave it GOTY. It was even better than Mass Effect for me.

the only problem I have with this is that the PS3 version will include the both of the major DLCs and Kasumi from the start. That's a bullshit move by Bioware. 360 owners had to pay the original $60 for the game and the extra for the two downloads. How can they claim to care about the fans and pull this move on the 360 fans who, from what I've seen, have been nothing but loyal and supportive.

Why would 360 fan boys cry about the ps3 getting mass effect 2? I own both a ps3 and a 360 and beat mass effect 2 about a year before the ps3 got it as well as all the downloadable content. Also, unless the ps3 also gets mass effect 1 ported to it a large part of the game will be missed as mass effect is a story centric game that takes into account the decisions you made in the first game. If you haven't brought a 360, or the first mass effect I would strongly advise you do.

That's freaking awesome guys, but i have a question. Are they thinking of releasing Mass Effect on the PS3 as well, so we, as Playstation players, can upload out lv 50-60 chars from the first game to the second. I ask because not everyone killed off the council, nor wanted to have a harder time getting resources or everyones loyalty due to no paragon/renegade points and resource transfers from the first game.

I didn't know you mean failure rate. The failure rate was NEVER 54%. That poll was given to anyone that visited the site hosting it. Rediculous fanboys could have easily swayed the polls. Last years the relatively newer Jasper models had a 4% failure rate according to square trade. And the new X360 slim is actually even more reliable than the PS3 slim.

You DO realize that X360 owners have alot of other methods to watching movies right? Right off the bat the X360 can upscale DVDs through HDMI. Then there is the Zune HD marketplace which was thousands of movies and new releases on there for you to stream or download in 1080p for a cheap price. Then there is Netflix, which I'm sure you have heard of unless you have been living under a rock :P. According to EG 360 owners log 1 billion hours a month with these services.

To be real honest with you I'd rather be labeled as a troll than a fanboy who looses sleep over this nonexistant console wars. I never said the X360 was a flawless console. I just don't agree with you when you implied that Blu-ray is a major factor when someone decides to buy a PS3. If that were true, the PS3 would have been 1st place in sales.

@MegaShot419 Well the PS3 has always look better than the 360(hardware wise),as for people buying a PS3, they buy it for MANY reasons, not just the PS3 but all 3 consoles, you make it sound like it is only about games, but you have to think about price, features, and etc. Hell some people are low on budget and so they stick to the Wii even though they want to get a PS3 or 360, and Blue Ray is one factor, a lot of consumers will say that 300 bucks for a gaming/Blue ray device is a great deal

There are other factors. Like online services, game libraries, etc. TBH, the X360's library looks more appealing to "HARDCOER GAEMRS". But 2011 looks to be a good year for PS3.

@MegaShot419 I agree, some people are willing to pay 60 bucks for a better online service, but some don't want to so they stick with PSN, its all about budget, and ya 360 has hardcore games, but don't say that PS3 doesn't, when it comes to games I love them both equally, I am a casual FPS fan so I play all of my shooters on the 360, and I love racing games so thats on the 360 too, but PS3 I play RPGs, Action, Adventure, a few exclusive shooters, and hack and slash games

@MegaShot419 Also I don't know why, but it feels like 360 gets less and less exclusives as the years go buy, it started out great with its games, but why is 360 falling behind in exclusives while PS3 is catching up. I mean the games I want coming on 360 is black ops, gears 3, fable 3, and rage, but my PS3 has a bigger list

@MegaShot419 True, but the only thing that was really big was Halo Reach (especially the legendary edition) and Fable 3 for me, Splinter Cell was all right for me, but didn't care for Alan Wake when Heavy Rain stole my attention as a thriller game

@MegaShot419 Alan Wake did not live up to the hype, I don't even recall it selling well, or even getting a great score by reviewers, the game had high hopes just like Medal of Honor and MAG but in the end they did not sell well and they don't have reviews that you expect them to get, I would say Heavy Rain is a better thriller since it was sad in a good way and it was a good thriller, so sorry but not every exclusives on the 360 or even on the PS3 is worth mentioning

Your beginning to sound like MLD. Sales don't equal quality. And an 83 on metacritic is excellent for a new IP. You never even played Alan Wake yet you say Heavy Rain was better? If you played both, you know the two can't be compared. They aren't the same at all. Alan Wake is my runner up for GOTY. If it wasn't for the cliff-hanger ending I would have gave it GOTY. It was even better than Mass Effect for me.

I never said sales equal quality, I am saying how popular the game is, and judging by its sales, its not that popular, and considering all the hype that game was getting the metacritic score should have been around 88 to 91, and yes they both are diffrent but if we have to compare them Heavy Rain is more popular and has the better score, it was made by people who created Indigo Prophecy, and people who like that game would jump on to Heavy Rain

WTF, "hype" is your justification? Dude, the game hardly had ANY hype considering. It was the least advertised X360 exclusive ever. You are basing game quality completely off of some stupid score. IF YOU FUCKING PLAYED IT, you would know that Alan Wake has some of the most innovative story-telling ever in a videogame. It's one of the first games to have a storyline based off of episodes, like a TV series.

@MegaShot419 1. Mass Effect was NEVER 360 Exclusive, It was also on PC and 2. Allen Wake IS NOT the first game to be based off Episodes like a TV Series.

@MegaShot419 problem is with critical reception for video games is they dont require the same level of education and back ground as say, an art critic or a music critic or film critic. its easy to dismiss sales and popularity as an invalid standard of measure, but then whats the alternative? a young adult who played alot of games and freelances for a game web zine? the medium is too young, too shallow and without meaningful standards. sadly sales does dictate industry direction too much
