@barbaralroot Don't forget that works can be anything from helping an old lady cross the street to helping a friend with homework. By doing these things you are loving your neighbour as yourself. You are not confined to rules and regulations written by man.
@barbaralroot We are known by our fruit...if our fruit is absent...we stand to be cursed like the fig tree... They have itchy ears and want to hear what suits them...and G-d HIMSELF will send them a great delusion to believe the lie, because they refused to come to the Light... You cannot convince anyone...but you did sound the Shofar and warned them... The destiny of their souls and their blood is upon their own heads.
I try to explain to people about the Messianic faith and that "grace" does not do away with "law" (Torah). People think I'm nuts. How do I help them understand what I am trying to show them? The Lord has been leading me in this direction for many years but I just recently have opened up about my faith and the path I am taking. People look at me like I have 3 heads and they tell me that I need to get back with the "christian" church. Help!
@barbaralroot Many believe that the "commandments of Yeshua" are different from the Ten Commandments, wilfully forgetting that Yeshua and Yahowah are ONE... Yeshua IS the Word of G-d and everything G-d ever said He "spoke through Yeshua, even before He became Flesh and lived among men. It is interesting that in Revelation the Dragon goes to make war against the True Remnant of the Woman who "keep the Commandments of G-d and have the Testimony of Yeshua... (Note it says "OF G-D")
@barbaralroot We are not saved by works...WITHOUT faith in Yeshua of our own account. And on the other hand faith WITHOUT works is dead... They cannot be seperated... Yeshua said WHY do you say you love me and don't DO what I tell you... IF you love Me KEEP my Commandments... When He removes our heart of stone and gives us a heart of flesh...He writes His Laws on our hearts... He said be Holy for I am Holy,...you CAN'T be Holy without being OBEDIENT to His Commandments.
@barbaralroot Explain to them the difference between "Traditions of man" and the 10 commandments. I don't think any Christian believes the 10 commandments are not to be obeyed. They probably think you're refering to the 613 Mitzvah, which as far as I know are interpretations of bible verses.
Messiah said that not ONE Jot or Tittle of the Law (G-d's Law not men's Traditions) will pass until HEAVEN AND EARTH has passed....and as far as I know they are still here... The Law will ONLY Pass when Messiah returns and we have been made PERFECT in Him and see Him as He is...for then the Law won't be necessary because He will have done away with sin. Until then, we are to Keep the Commandments of YHWH and have the faith of Yeshua Messiah and await His return in obedience and expectation....
What Yeshua said about pouring new wine into new skins because the old skins won't be able to contain the new wine and become destroyed is so applicable here... When we accept Yeshua we become NEW in Him. We cannot keep the 'old skin' (mentality) and think that we can follow His pure Laws Guidelines and Instructions while remaining dirty, full of fungus and contaminated in our thinking. We must renew our minds, and live a NEW life in a NEW skin :) G-d bless and Shalom from Israel.!
@FuNnYBoNeTiCklEs I absolutely agree with you. Stay blessed. I will be praying for my brother cause he was called to do the Father's will. And with that comes great persecution. Shalom!
Brother, when you are telling the Goyim to keep the Mitzvot and Toirah are you telling them to be Shomer Shabbos or keep Kashrus? Are you telling the Gentiles to live as jews? I hear what your saying but you are being a little vague as to what exactly you want them to do. Do you want them to live as Chasidim? I'm a Jew so I'm a little concerned that you are trying to put them in bondage to certain Minhag. Like buying Kosher Mezuzot only and kippot and MayimAcronim. State your intention brother
@DeliverTheWord1 Are you mixing the Torah of יהוה with the oral traditions of man (namely the traditions of the Orthodox Jews that added and diminished the commands within the Torah of יהוה with their Talmud and other traditions)? In the Hebrew Matthew 23, Messiah says to listen to him (Moshe), not them (Pharisees) as is improperly translated in every English translation that came from the Greek.
@davegooley No sir I no longer follow Talmidic halacha. I am washed in the blood of Yeshua and follow His Torah. I'm just a bit cautious that the normal gentile will misinterpret a messianic believers advice and I even believe that some messsianic teachers are compelling Gentiles to become Jewish and that can very well lead them into Talmudic bondage and thus draw them away from the simple love and grace of Yeshua. I've seen somemessianic shuls completely reject Yeshua after a while
@DeliverTheWord1 The laws in the Old Testament are God's Laws, they are not Jewish laws. Jews are only Judah. Israel is the ten lost tribes of Israel. The Sabbath began at creation not Mount Sinai and all of God's Laws are eternal and always existed for all mankind (Psalm 119). Jesus told His disciples to keep the commandments and stated he did not come to abolish the Law (Matthew 5:17-21).
@DeliverTheWord1 In Yeshua there is NO MORE Jew or Greek, slave or free man... He who follows Messiah is a descendant of Avraham...period...we are all brothers and sisters in Him....so from me Shalom from Israel to all my brothers and sisters around the world! Yeshua has only ONE body...not a Jewish one and a Gentile one...
@DeliverTheWord1 I see what you are talking about. From what I have seen, Paul Nisan, Michael Rood and others that preach Yeshua (or Yahoshua, Yahushua, Y'shua, Yahshua, or another pronunciation) will teach to stay away from the Talmud, Mishna and other traditions of the Orthodox Jews as this violates Deuteronomy 4:2 and 12:32. If you watch the other videos presented by Paul Nisan, you will see this for yourself.
@davegooley Thats just it friend. I grew upin an orthodox Jewish homeand even in the Messianic Shuls you cannot escape mixing in the traditions of the Chachamin. Therin lies the danger. I am a Jew and I observe Shabbos and Kosher and Moedim but I also fellowship with my gentile brethren in Christ and go out into the streets proclaiming Yeshua or to the gentiles JESUS. You don't see the Messianics doing any street witnessing. There more involved in traditions and ways to do them.
@DeliverTheWord1 while I am not denying that some within the Messianic movement do what you are saying, I also recognize that there are those who do witness to others about Yeshua. Whenever one of these individuals makes a video on YouTube, there is a chance that someone who has rejected Yeshua sees the video and receives the witness. In addition, there are Messianics that verbally witness on the streets. Like miracles, they do happen even if we didn't see them personally.
@davegooley Thats good friend. I have to say that here in Los Angeles,CA,I have not seen that at all and I'm out and about all over the city daily. I surely hope to see that here one day. I've asked them to join mebut instead they say that I'm telling people the wrong name. That it should be Yeshua and not Jeus that I say, I'm a jew and theyer telling me this. Incredible!. That semantics game gets satan very amused. Whats the end result? They don't go out to street preach.
@thehealthwatchman...can you also do a video on how the god of christianity is not YHWH the God of abraham, moses, isaac, jacob and Yeshua?
