I do know if you mention any of those bands you just said to anyone I know they will automatically say they're grunge... but I agree with you completely there was NO GRUNGE it was alternative, rock, metal, experimental and punk... grunge never existed in my eyes.

There is a definite similarity between the vines and nirvana...

Those bands that you refer are indie / experimental and I think they don't fit perfectly in grunge.

@eggsrocks Dude there are still good punk bands out there like Bad Religion since 1979, Rise Against in 1999, Misfits since 1977, Wolfbrigade AKA Wolfpack, Social D, still there many out good bands out there. In my opinion if we still have awesome bands playing good Punk whether it be Crust Punk, Punk, Punk Rock, Street Punk, or Hardcore Punk etc... I would say it isnt Dead but what I hate is the whole pop punk thing witch kills the genre, music,life-style, and the meaning.
