  • Its Funny, they cut miss California out short (the only knowledgeable one)

  • 2:27 a strand of people with half a fucking brain.

  • I can't tell if Washington thinks that RELIGION is "imagination and hope" or if she thinks evolution is....

  • Go Connecticut.

  • I can't tell if this is parody or not.

  • I'm sorry, did she just call Creationism a "credited theory"?

Oh...? And who came up with this theory? Darwin? Einstein? Curie? Tesla? Spencer?

Oh...wait....no. No, it was a few guys who have it from the man the sky. Yep.

  • I love how nearly all of them are dodging the question and avoiding answering it directly. And most of them just sound stupid because of it. God, can we PLEASE have an EDUCATED, INTELLIGENT pageant winner for once? Or does intelligence automatically take away from charisma? What is wrong with this country?

  • CALIFORNIA REPRESENT!

I think Canada should take on the entire west coast and the part of New England that ranges from Maine to New York and maybe Pennsylvania.

  • Sorry, but evolution is not a BELIEF. IT IS A SCIENTIFIC THEORY AND CAN BE PROVEN AND HAS BEEN. Keep your bible out of the science classes! God is a BELIEF. Evolution is NOT. GOD has NOT been proven by science. If anything, he's been DISPROVED. Believe in whatever you want, but in SCIENCE there is no "both sides of the story". CREATIONISM is not science. OH MY GOD HOW MUCH PLAINER CAN WE MAKE IT?

  • DOUBLE FACEPALM for the "belief" dumbfucks

  • This question was designed to show how ignorant these women are. "Fail"!!

  • @some1NL because the Bible should be read not literally, but allegorically. If not should I also think that the Sun revolves around us and one day it stopped for a while just because it is written on the Bible?! Science and religion must be separated, and i think that only stupid people can think something like that, not just all the christians

  • Are we really surprised by what Ms. Alabama had to say? But Washington's answer was the most absurd and idiotic.

  • Why is even Vermont participating with these bunch of idiots?

    So sad

  • PS Miss USA should be banned from Miss World competitions until one can be found with more brainpower than your average mollusc.

  • "Evolution is fact. Religion is bunk. Next question?"

    Miss Ihaveabrain Andknowmystuff

  • there are people this stupid in our government too , let's ask this question of them as well.

  • They keep on saying: "I think... I think" REALLYYYYYY????? DO YOU? (-_-)

  • @archilles1195 Hey delusional, comment fail again!

  • @GodlessHappyAndFree Delusional? LOL you are desperate. Each Miss Universe wanna be popular, so they need to woo 80% of US population, not the 6% who has no concept of right or wrong.

  • @archilles1195 Remember, non-believers only make up a single digit percent of the prison population. In other words, the religious are most of the prison population. The religious obviously have little to no concept of right and wrong. You fail again! LMAO!

  • Preety until they speak...

  • I wish these contestants were a little more tactful.

  • This can't be an accurate demographic of the intelligence of Americans... In order to be one of these girls you probably already have to be a bit dim. Sad either way.

  • these girls should stick to smiling, looking good and sucking dick,,,no talking or thinking

  • Best one is at 13:00

Also is one of the hottest IMO.

  • Is it a coincidence that the girl who gave the best answer is also the hottest?

    (hint - Alyssa Campanella, 1:50)

  • 6:06 What is a belief in faith???? 90% of these girls are brainwashed fools...

  • have you noticed how disproportionately there are blondes than brunettes

  • OMG I hope this is a joke. Anyone that dosen't believe evolution should taught in schools should be immediately be disqualified from the pageant.

  • Yeah Miss New Mexico.

  • WTF?! This is incredible, i'm Christian and i strongly Believe in evolution, as i believe that Earth is spherical. NO WORDS, these girls are fucking stupid, as a Lot of americans

  • @LaPimpaG how the fuck can you be an christian and believe in evolution ? dont you just pick out the good things out of the bible ?

  • You atheists don't understand, they do not want to woo the support from the minority like you all, they want the majority, those who believe in God.

  • I WANT THE ANSWER FROM MISS SOUTH CAROLINA!!!!!!

  • the amount of stupid is overwhelming

  • Dear Kentucky, Evolution Education as a scientific topic is the EPITOME of culturalism. Nevada... interesting answer...

  • ugg... I never voted for Ms Hawaii... and ha ha, she said creation-tism.

  • To laugh or to cry? ..... that's the question now! :D

  • WHY IS THAT A TOUGH QUESTION.

OF COURSE WE SHOULD TEACH EVOLUTION IN SCHOOL YOU IDIOTS.

ARE WE ALSO GOING TO TEACH OUR CHILDREN THAT THE EARTH IS FLAT AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO LET THEM "CHOOSE" WHETHER THEY BELIEVE THAT THE EARTH IS ROUND OR NOT?

GOD DAMN FUCKING IDIOTS IM SO MAD

  • i don't think more then half the women in this video realize Christianity isn't the only religion that exists.

  • Kentucky has no clue.

  • And a theory in science is the result of much research and experimentation, and hardcore facts to back it up. It's not the same as the word "theory" in everyday language. It's not a guess.

There is the theory of gravity, germ theory, etc

  • I love how they all say different viewpoints should be offered, and religon taught, when what they mean is that Protestant Christianity should be taught. What about Buddhism, Catholicism, Judaism, Islam, Taoism, Hinduism, among others. If religion Is something you want to pass onto the bext generation, teach it to your child at home and your place of worship.

    How ridiculous.

  • Out of all of them, only California, New Mexico, and Vermont gave good answers.

  • @blueshowercurtain Delaware was decent.

  • I love how they're all on about not 'believing' in evolution... What's next, not believing in gravity?

  • Just curious, but when did Creationism become an accredited theory?

  • @moshdragon never

  • WHAT SIDES OF THE STORY !!!!! Religion is not a science. We are talking science, not belief, when we talk evolution. IF science disproves evolution then we change our teaching, but you can not advance science from blind unknowing stupidity. You have to have knowledge of science to argue science, you have to know the science to disregard it. SCIENCE and RELIGION ARE NOT EVEN IN THE SAME BALL PARK.

  • Vermont.

  • @antuerius I'm glad you pointed her out, I'd gotten so disgusted with the whole thing. Beauty and brains? This ... what ... does not compute ...

Washington almost impressed me. Then I heard "facts, not theories." Because ya KNOW Washington, theories are in NO WAY based on facts. Nuh uh.

  • It would be nice if we could bend science and religion together. However I don't think it can be done harmoniously yet. For now it is best to segrigrate the two with evolution in school and creationism in church. *facepalm*

  • Evolution on the other hand has a scientific base instead of a religious one. It is well sopported by many facts, in other words a theory. It belongs in a science class in public school.Equal time may seem nice and fair, but it is really an argument to sneek religous doctrine into schools.

  • Christian students should still be free to learn about Creationism outside of school. They can do it with thier family, friends and/or church.I soppose the only students who should have a big choice are those with a strongly Christian background.

  • I facepalmed through the whole thing. I feel like a hard core Darwinist. I think evolution should be taught in public schools, but I don't want any religious ideas taught as well. All American children have to go to school, and they will likely have a variety of religions. Teaching creationism is unfair for all the students that are not Christian. It infringes on thier constitutional rights to freedom of religion.

  • I don't think these dumb bitches know what the definition of a theory is. A theory is an idea that has been well-tested and supported by fact. What they're talking about is a hypothesis, of which evolution is not.

  • yay miss vermont!! :) 13.00 :)

  • 03.24 "we're smarter than ever these days..." oh REALLY???

  • Oh my gawwwwwd, I can hardly believe the dumb-arse responses made by most of these women. Good on Ms Connecticut 2.29

  • This makes me so angry, I want half of our country to just go away. I would have no problem denying evolution or "teaching both sides" if there was actually a completing scientific theory, but "I read it in an old book" doesn't count. Teach creationism in church and let *your* children decide. How are we debating whether or not to teach science in science classes. This silliness should be laughable in the 21st century where we need scientists and engineers to compete.

  • If their immediate response was not "Yes! Is this a serious question? Why the fuck wouldn't you teach evolution in school?" then they are uneducated. If they responded with "Religion should be taught in schools too, give everything a chance! :D" then they are morons.

  • I want this to be fake so badly. UGH

  • This question is too hard for them. Obviously those who did not answer yes failed.

  • How do you believe in a fact?

  • I'm so confused how they confuse evolution with the start of "life" ... Abiogenesis is the beginning of "life"

  • very simple religion is not fact. evolution is a scientific theory. science is falsifiable and is the base of our knowledge of earthly matters. school is to teach facts not to teach faith.

  • Im really not sure who was worse Kentucky or Indiana

  • And there are more than '2' sides. There are literally hundreds, if not more creation theories from all religions, sects, and more. You can't teach all of them.. and parents would flip if we started teaching the Hindu creationist theorm on par with the Christian one.

Evolution is fact. It has happened, it is happening now. We see it happen in microbes almost in real time. Nobel prizes have been award for this in medicince.

  • I am so glad I live in Canada.

JUst because there are two 'theories' does not mean each theory has equality.

The scinetologists have a theory that we were founded by dead alien ghosts. Should that theory be taught as well along with evolution?

  • seems like these girls are proof of evolution have begun to go backwards in time

    You can't debate facts people

  • I'm glad I have a thing for geeky girls. Otherwise I'd be trying to get women like these.

  • Yay! Knowledge is power! Go knowledge!

  • Knowledged???? Really??? I'm being represented by a person that was knowledged? F

  • Please don't represent my state in any way. Please.

  • I'm just your biology teacher, dear, you, as a seven year old, should be making the big scientific calls.

  • You lose if you say 'no,' 'perspective,' 'option,' 'belief,' 'both sides' or 'it's a theory.' By my count the only winners are Vermont and Connecticut. Congratulaton girls, unlike your fellow contestents, your pretty heads are not filled with rocks.

  • WHy do they ask such questions to Misses?? They are just here to look nice, why pretend it is also about intelligence.

  • @Aeythvaenn they seem to be trying to show that women are not just the physical but the mental. The problem is that they've only shown that the women who are going for the title of beautiful don't have the personalities worth being with. that might be a benefit though, they've shown that beauty isn't the only thing and this is what to expect if that is all you go for.

  • YAY VERMONT! I'm ashamed of the rest of them

  • This makes me want to rip my hair out. I find it fascinating that hardly any of those brainless twits understood that they themselves evolved from 46 chromosomes to a human in 9 months....I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

  • thumb down if you can see the darth vader sword

  • thank goodness the woman from my state is a "huge science geek"

for all the women that think that there are "two sides to the story"... its sad... it wont be long before the US is a "3rd world country" due to "faith" is being considered just as valid as actual fact...

most of the women seem to be just a pretty face... there are almost none of them that seem actually intelligent...

  • poor deluded girls

  • Me: Nodding along with what Kentucky says then "but evolution shouldn't be taught"

Me: But....but... you just said you're all for learning!

  • I wonder if these girls that think "all perspectives should be taught equally" don't realize that to do that, they would have to kids in school almost all year round. Considering that there are thousands of religions in the history of humanity, and each has its own mythos. Science on the other hand, has evidence for its theory. ;)

  • Damnit why did NY have to get one of the idiots?

  • So we have

    1. evolution is against my religion

    2. Its not that bad and Intelligent Design and stuff

    3. yes it should because we should teach everything in school (wheres the FSM btw?!)

    4. uh yeah why not i think...yeah...um...next-question-please-look

    5. uh thats a hard one...i dont know

    6. yes because everyone needs to make his own decisions

    7. Lauren Carter 21 Vermont : its a scientific fact ( thank god that there is at least one)

14 minutes of crap, you´ve just read it

  • @RimshotKiller dont forget California said "im a science geek!"

looks and brains seem to be a very uncommon pairing...

  • @Elc22 ah you´re right, forgot about her...and i agree with the second statement, maybe they should show this for educational purpose..."that´s how you are going to look if you only care about looks...like an idiot"...maybe they should do an advertisement...

  • That's pretty shocking, i think it very eloquently paints the picture of just how brainwashed Americans have become. Calling all scientists! - come to Europe, there are plenty of jobs for you here and none of this nonsense in the mainstream of society

  • Basicly there all sitting on the fence on this issue, I dont blame them either, there not wanting to upset anyone so they can get the most votes.

I should point out im definitely in the teach evolution camp.

  • 3:10

    Interviewee states

"We're smarter than ever these days"

    Ironic she'd say that =P

  • what a disgrace.

  • Worship and research. Yes, there's a difference between the two. Duh!

  • Someone shoot these idiots !!!

  • Delaware is one of the only one who sounds like they actually believe what they're saying, and understand what they're talking about.

  • i can solve this, just give me a rusty sword greased with AIDS infected blod

  • Why not teach everything and let kids make their own choice? Here's why...because Creationism is flat out fucking wrong. We have PROVEN evolution time and time again. It is observable FACT. For fucks sake i fear for the future of man kind if idiots like this are any kind of example.

  • Such pretty women but nothing upstairs. It's not an opinion, it's a valid theory (not the leyman's theory but scientific). There are no two sides to it. The "other side" gets taught in Sunday school or at home and has no place in the school system whatsoever.

  • We've asked a bunch of women who have dedicated their lives to being show cattle for an opinion about what the science education curriculum should be and then we're shocked at how inane their comments are.

  • Prime example why America is hated around the world.

  • Comment removed

  • @JustThatToxic yea, these models whose only job is to walk around a stage accurately represent the intelligence of americans. thats sarcasm by the way incase you couldn't figure it out

  • I wish i could post the sketch of Statue of Liberty Facepalming as a comment response to this.

  • Drinking game ?

    Anyone ?

    With all the "I think"...

  • @Gzachk I'd try, but i know that my liver hasn't EVOLVED enough to handle that much alcohol, so I'd die. But maybe my Great great great great great great grandchildren will have an android livers to handle barely enough to stand this video.

  • Comment removed

  • Did none of them answer with "because it's science"?

  • Did anyone notice the positive change in vocabulary and intellect when they showed the pro-evolution girls? I know I did xD

  • I took evolution in college, in fact I'm in the Advanced Evolution class now, we're going into the new testament now!

  • The theory of evolution was written by a devout christian. That being said, it has nothing to do with faith, it's about conclusions derived from observation. A theory is no more fact than creationism but it is observable and therefore admissible as an academic subject. Creationism however is derived from a book put together by a council of old men trying to keep an empire from crumbling. All christianity is derived from what that council chose to keep in the Book.

  • I beleive that facts not theories should be taught............I was really just hoping that one of these girls would have half a brain, waited 14 minutes with no luck lol.

  • lol a third the age too

  • Almost as stupid as republican candidates, but at least, much prettier.

  • should evolution be taught in school? lol these airheads are obviously pulling all these crap from the top of their heads...evolution is already being taught in school!!!

4th-12th for crying out loud even history mentions evolution a.k.a Darwin and his books "descend of man" and "origin of species by Natural Selection"

  • The fact that they decided to ask, 'should evolution be taught', not 'should creation be taught' is terrifying. Sure teach creation, in RE with all the other creation myths.

We don't teach Gravity and Inertial Reference and let the kids figure it out, we teach the model that holds true. This is not a scientific arguement, it is a political and religous one.

  • Go California!

  • "its something people do believe in..."

Ah! You don't need to "believe in" science you just need to know stuff about the real world.

    I weep for my species.

  • yeaahhh!!!

  • come on miss california make me proud!!....

  • For once in my life, I'm proud to be from Arizona...most of the other state representatives are just...no.

  • Good thing we don't rely on 20-22 year old women who aspirations include "looking pretty" for insight on educational policy.

  • oh indiana and kentucky..... *sigh*

  • this country is in seriously deep shit.

  • Choose to what side to believe?

So they can choose not to believe evolution? Just like that, oh I guess I'm gonna stop believing about all troublesome Physics laws out there. Because well, I can! Instead of walking I'm going fly tomorrow. Forget about the 9.8 m/s2 gravity shit ..I CAN FLY because I can!

  • Wow! :O/ I guess the rating reflect the dislike for some of these ignorant women.

    Katalyzt

  • This was a very depressing video.

  • Oh dear. . .

  • Is this an indication that teachers have failed to explain what a scientific theory actually is?

  • Lauren Carter, you are the WAY most attractive woman that occurred in that movie that - all before you came up the screen - just made my brains hurt a minute ago. And if you could do me that little favor: Don't take what I said as a fact only. Please, also take it as a compliment.

  • Watching this was painful. Thank FSM for Miss Vermont for providing an Intelligence Moment.

  • @cynicalotter: Even the almighty FSM (m. H. n. a. s. y.) obviously has no way of inflicting with these narrow minds - that's what caused your pain in the first place, remember?

  • "Criationitism" Hahaha. Idiots.

  • I'm so glad that I live in a place where evolution is taught not like it "might" be true, but the way it is, the way we came to be as a species, just like we're taught math, english or whatever subject we have. I'm also glad I live in a place where religion is taught not like it absolutely is true, but as mythological, historical stories that "might" be true. So... Finland, I love ya'! ;') (aswell as the rest of the secular countries in the world ofc)

  • 13:03

One of the smart ones, along side the catholic woman and a few others.

  • Pathetic example of how retarding "religion" is.

  • @xephyr1000 Actually, it's a great example. It clearly illustrates how much of a retardant religion is.

  • I love how pretty much all of those who said no are from the southern states. What a shocker lmao

  • what do these stupid creatures think a THEORY is??????

  • my jaw dropped to the floor...

in 50 years the usa will be the United Emirates of America!

staying away from the easy equation hot chick=stupid, how is it possible that in the XXI century A LOT of people still believes in evolution? not even here in bygott italy!

  • "even the biblical version should be taught as well" wow so in science class you want religion to be taught and ignore that stupid "separation of church and state" clause?

Science is on the side of evolution. If you don't want to teach science in science class, what do you want to teach?

  • Both sides? Of what? So creation according to the bible? Mormonism? Scientology? Creation according to the Koran? Creation according to the Torah? Creation according to Hindu beliefs? Shinto beliefs? Ancient Greek? Ancient Roman? It's more like a die with infinite sides than a coin.

  • EPIC FACEPALM!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @VENOM3RDUM These btchez fail dat much.

  • Good thing these women aren't in any real position of authority.

  • @AndrewDangerously But their male counterparts are.

  • Stupid americans !

  • Why do i see more of the religious misinformation about "theory" or teaching both views more in the southern states.

  • They sound so stupid when they talk

  • Sometimes, I hate the country I live in. This is one of those times.

  • Most of these women need to learn exactly what a theory is..... It's not about "believing". It's about KNOWING...

  • I sincerely believe the bulk of these women are onto something... We absolutely SHOULD present both sides of the story in school! It's only fair. We can present evolution AND creationism and, in time, let the children decide for themselves.

Those who choose evolution, can continue their educations, as per normal. The Creationists, having had ample time to be educated, can get sent to Texas(where 30%, of whom, believe humans lived with dinosaurs) What a great way to flush out future idiots.

  • i love you miss California!

  • I think this has made me lose brain cells.

  • How can you BELIEVE in evolution? evolution IS a FACT! That's why it's a theory...because it's supported by, lets say, "all the studies ever made on genetics". Maybe the problem here is teaching the difference between Theory and Hypothesis...

  • I wonder what they would say about the theory of gravity...

  • A. lol Facts are not subject to debates, unless you are an idiot. Kentuckee

    B. ... Alabama

    C. Great let t government decide what you can learn and what not you F! M! Indiana.

    D. Oh is all about what you believe in hum, fuck the truth I suppose. Idahoe

    E. Washington represent! not a straight answer master piece.

    F. Its kids decision? Wonderful I decide we evolve from a T-Rex YEAH! Georgia

    G. It already happen (in other states)... Missouri LOVE: Nevada, Hawaii, Louisiana, Minnesota.

  • @Ramiromasters That's the thing that disgusts me the most. People who think beliefs are a democracy or that you should be allowed to choose your beliefs. No, you should be allowed to find out what is true for yourself. Truth is not a democracy and beliefs are not personal.

  • we teach evolution in our new sci fi movie! evolution vs. creation! the movie is Evolution Creek, search for it and check it out!

  • WHAT? I live in France and we are taught evolution not even as a theory but as fact and there is no mention of god or any other stupid explanation. This is a huge part of our science program! so I can't believe what I'm hearing! (thank you miss california)

  • Go Vermont !!!

Why do they all talk in that voice, they start of well I believe that . . . yadda yadda yadda . . . .

  • 13:00 thank god for Miss Vermont....

  • Why are people so, so, so, so stupid. Evolution is not one of many beliefs. It needs to be taught because IT HAPPENS. And it explains SO MUCH!

  • @entropyftw

No... it's because the states were listed in alphabetical order. That's why Vermont was near the end.

  • This is freakin mortifying. It makes me ashamed to be of the same genus.

  • ' we're smarter than ever these days'...well some of us are. It amazes me that in the 21st century this is even a topic of discussion and according to this a 'tricky one.' of course evolution should be taught ...as the fact it is.
