He knew he wouldn't have a good chance of getting a record deal because..as he said himself, he is gay, middleclass and was in drama school. @CosmoKrameryyz He writes his own stuff! He's already lasted 10 years! He was invited to perform at Glastonbury, T in the Park and The Aisle of Wight and had a great reception. He goes to Glastonbury as a punter just to enjoy the music as many others do. Will Young is one of the hardest working performers. The PI route was taken for the simple reason he knew he would get no where the credible route. He has done many small gigs since.

This is a cover of Jose Feliciano's version. The judge is wrong-he didn't make it his own song. Jose' sang this with raw latin emotion that Will lacked. Will is a phenomenal singer but Jose's cover is the best cover of this song there has ever been. Even Robbie Kruger said Jose did more for this song than anyone ever has.
