  • VW Passat is Luxury?

  • Fuck hyundai!

  • The only reason I would buy this is if it was made in the USA. There are so many other options for 25k.

  • if i was in the market for a new car and it handled the road well, i would def get it.it's very cute.

  • This car looks excellent IMO

  • I had a feeling this was an Opel, they made the Catera for Cadillac a few years back, I guess the engine is also an Opel ?

  • GM needs to do something radical in order to change buyers' perception of the company. Just look at how far Hyundai has come in 5 years or so.

  • Pretty bland car if you ask me. Why would anyone choose this over the Acura TSX? I wouldnt. If Buick wants to mke a splash they should bring back the Grand National. There'd be a waiting list a year long.

  • @ItsFrankieBoy i love acura but you actually get a lot of shyt in the car for 27 grand when the tsx starts at 29 grand

  • @ItsFrankieBoy There's a twin turbo, AWD version of this same car that won't be available in America. Sounds like your Grand National!

At least they had the good sense to offer it with a manual transmission. I have yet to hear anyone say whether it is RWD or FWD.

  • are buyers in this market going to consider buick ? lol heck no . if someone is spending 25k+ then you better chase a toyota or honda for a much better/reliable car !! american cars are still made to fail after 2 years so you buy new ones and generate revenue.

  • @randomvidz94 go get your toyota..best wishes that one of many things don't fail and you don't die a horrible death.

  • @creamsodaistasty you're hilarious .. I forgot that American cars don't kill , they tickle you during accidents. your comment made my day thanks.

  • @randomvidz94 sweetie pie..that comment was directed towards toyota.Don't make this about something else.

  • @creamsodaistasty hmm obviously you're not making any sense here !! you win . i'm done. bye

  • @randomvidz94 Too complex for a tiny brain to handle? that's ok.toodles.

  • are buyers in this market going to consider buick ? lol heck no . if someone is spending 25k+ then you better chase a toyota or honda for a much better/reliable car !! american cars are still made to fail after 2 years so you buy new ones and generate revenue.

  • Nice car. Buick has upped the quality for their cars, and the GS seems to be a great car, but I think they should have a GN or other model at least with a turbo V6 and 300+ HP to compete with similar cars. But maybe for those enthusiasts, as is with the 6 speed, it might be pretty good, but maybe the Lacrosse should have over 300 HP for their topl model for that size and price...

  • Needs more Hp.!!!

  • Nice but cost to much for what its worth

  • Hey...if you want to buy a foreign car buy a buick and if you want to buy a american car buy a toyota.....

  • All this is is another american FWD piece of shit. When will the american car companies start to listen to the american public? FWD cars are so fucking 90's. This is why Audi and BMW ruld over american cars that also rust the fuck out within 5 fucking years.

  • @DrBigBudz Exactly.......

  • @DrBigBudz Audi is FWD! LOL

  • @2741718 What kind of FWD audi are you driving? Im talkin g Quattro here pal.

  • @DrBigBudz 4x4 is an option on most cars now! so it doesn't count! what really counts are cars with RWD like BMW and Mercedes! And this Buick has a 4x4 option just like any Audi! it is FWD with 4x4 as an option! and for the money, the Opel insignia is better that Audi A4!

  • @2741718 I concede

  • This car ranked LAST in the recent Car and Driver test behind the Acura TSX and VW CC 2.0T. The VW has less power yet is considerably faster from 0-60 and gets better MPG both city and highway.

  • Mmadrummer64 is a total idiot! Nuff said. Great improvement for Buick. When I pay this damn g6 off, regal here I come!

  • Well Its better looking then any Buick they have ever made, thats for sure.....but I dont care for it. It was a great effort on Buicks part, its about time they come out with a decent looking car, the lacrosse doesnt look to bad either but admitingly I am a brand whore, im sure its a great car but I wouldnt conform myself into buying a Buick, the whole name screams Grandmas Car. Nevertheless that does not mean that Buick does not have potential I think they are headed in the right direction.

  • This piece of shit regal would never hold a candle to the 86-87 buick Grand national or GNX I would to see this pos pull up to my 86 gn and I will burn the doors of this pos

  • Americans need to buy American cars to put the money back in the Economy so you can stop complaining about recessions and Bail outs.

  • I'd rather have the Taurus

  • This car, you get a lot for the money here...

  • mt mom just bought one

  • Regal is better than the Lacrosse. Both are based on the Insignia but the Lacrosse is a larger car tacked on to a smaller frame.

  • I like it. Nothing wrong with a rebadged Opel Insignia. The Insignia's a good car and is very popular in Germany, where it's built (The US-bound regal will be built in Canada).

  • they F#Ked UP! the they haver no Model with the insignia VXR front bumper design.

  • this car sux

  • copied honda's acura tsx too much in this car.

  • As a true GM fan, I like this Regal. I don't care if it is a rebadged Opel Insignia, it's still a GM car and all that matters. Besides I'd rather have a german car which I know is well built than some jap crap toyota.

  • @adogg619 thank you, alot of idiots failed to realize that GM owns opel and alot or auto companies rebadged their cars but they have a problem when GM does it but your comment shows that you are not like some of airheads up here

  • I like regal. I heard that Buick is also gonna have Astra in their line up. I own a 2008 Saturn Astra and can't wait to test drive the 2011/2012 Buick Astra (hatch) model... I love the fact that those cars will be manufactured in Germany.

  • well i know that buick is back with luxury but its gonna take a LONG time for it to get rid of its name as an old guy car

  • @goudeyman95 true but people tend to forgot about the turbo buicks back in the 80s,they were some bad ass cars

  • It looks like a BMW on the side.

  • they just went on sale in toronto starting at $33,500 which is more than what he said. I love buicks but I just don't see Acura and lexus snobs buying it. Most Toronto people will never even go to a domestic car dealership. If it were a lexus instead of a buick sales would probably be 3 times higher. too bad cus its such a good design

  • i think this is the same thing as the vauxhall insignia

  • im rolling on the floor laughing at this shi' 220 turbo charged vrrrrrrrrommmm iim gonna stick with porsche but if your in the market for this kind of car go audi bmw or mercedes buicks are pieces of shi' they just look nicer now engine is garbage companythat makesbuick is garbage good luck

  • @jpbhello You sound like a fool. You cannot compare porsche and buick. This is an Opel with a buick emblem.

The Opel was voted international car of the year in 2010.

    Again, your retared.

  • @jpbhello you say that but i guarantee you a BUICK GRAND NATIONAL from the 80s would whip the floor with your porshe dude.FYI cadillac, another GM lux brand, has been kicking merc, bmw and audi's ass.

  • nothin beats the interior room of my '91 park ave, well in the buick category of course. my '88 box chev is my favorite

  • BMW, Acura, Buick?

I admire GM for putting this new theory to the test.

An expensive feeling car for less.

This thing reminds me way to much of the Hyundai Sonata.

  • no they won't

  • It's a german car with Buick sign on it. Buy it America!

It can't be wrong. There was never a better Buick.

  • Comment removed

  • this car is fresh, buy america

  • Looks cool, but where's the WOOD?

  • I wish GM would limit the use of black matte plastic on the dash, it really takes away the elegance of the entire cars interior.

  • looks like it was trying to be a hyundai genesis sedan but that interior is a lil ugly

  • Buick could get smart and bring down the Opel Insignia Sport tourer wagon as the Regal Sport Tourer. Better yet, the small diesel engines the opel use in Germany. They squeez out in the high 30s/low 40s MPGs. But as always, American automakers always tend to catch up to the game last while foreign automakers create benchmarks and perfect them.

  • the last regal had more power , 3.8L 198 hp v6 base engine ,3.8L 240 hp super charged v6 , and the last regal was biger too

  • Definitely a handsome looking car.

  • I will go for a buick. Fuck tsx or other ones!!

  • @Yakovinho ah all u can do is badmouth gm i bet i can smoke ur maxima and murcielago with cadillac cts-v and corvette zr1 both ways performence and fuel economy

  • @Yakovinho not every bodys rich kid , just because a car can't go a 1,000,000 mph doesn't mean its a bad car

  • bro nothing to tell garbage garbage... buick sucks...

  • plastic everywhere

  • soft touch, high quality plastic rivaling the likes of bmw and mercedes

  • @happyboyy8k Really? Have you sat in it? I don't think so.

  • whos ass do i need to kick by doing this to the regal.. a 4 banger? really? you son of a bitches.. thanks for destroying an american legacy..

  • I think the answer to the question posed at the end of this video is "yes" - this car may be a GM but it is not a product of Detroit.

  • I'd tap that

  • Competes with ? !! Thats a step down. Wheres the real American Turbocharged Regal AKA Grand National. Newly built it would easly take out the M5 and S500. With the same old 3.8L turbo RWD setup and todays technology. I think thats the car we need to bring back. It will also boost our economy, pride and show that we can still produce and FLEX MUSCLE..

  • @surupboo say cadillac cts-v. gm doesnt need 2 high performance 4 door luxury cars

  • @surupboo That's where Cadillac competes with. Buick is more of the mainstream "entry" luxury segment. Such as Acura, some Audi and VW. Where's Cadillac with the V-performance competes with the M5 (CTS-V). GM would be smart not to be GM and have products compete directly with each other. Buick is a different market. If you want a BMW competitor go Cadillac.

  • Still the interior is not quite the quality I would like I want to see brushed aluminum I guess you'll just only see plastic from american cars

  • "Would buyers in this segment consider a Buick?"...Its not so much consider a buick, but consider an Opel. Opel is German. German = well built. I'm sold.

  • Competes against the VW Passat? The Passat isn't even a luxury vehicle. The Chevy Malibu competes better with the Passat! What's so good about BMW's I-drive? All it is just a transmisson switch made into a twist knob(just like Buick have...but, it's not for the tranny). He's an American car biased! He dosen't say anything nice about American cars...no matter how good they look or, how high the hp., fuel economy or, technology is! He haven't once said how good this car look. Smh..

  • I agree with you. It seems 99% of the media is "anti-American", that's why I dropped all of the auto mags I had subscribed to. The last Road and Track I received had one paragraph on the new Mustang. That was it! Motor Trend is only slightly better. On the other hand, I think they (the media) is starting to get a little nervous because there are some nice things coming from the big three.

  • Hi Mike Hanley! You're a Douchebag

  • Finally Buick is making cars that have proud personalities. The only potential problem is timing. Will enough people like this car enough to forgive and forget Buick of the past?

  • i think so, well, lets hope so!!

  • @603619

this car is not a real Buick, it's a rebadged

german car: the Opel Insignia which is

    designed and engineered in Germany

    (not bad though)

  • Gosh yes they are going to consider them. I looked at a LaCross at around 30000 dollars the other day was amazed at all you got for the money. So yes people will consider this model if the prices are right. You go Buick!

  • seriously right? i'm rooting for the american auto industry, it's so time for them to make a come back. people will definitely buy this car, shoot i might want to start saving up for this. i've seen other pictures of this car and they're really beautiful looking!

  • Nice car but sadly this Buick is not for me. I just LOVED my first car, a 1982 Electra Limited 4 door. It was a tranquil oasis; not at all a race car. I am 38 years old, and since I was a kid walking home from school in Chicago dreamed of one day owning an Electra. This 2011 Regal wasnt what I had in mind.

  • WOW that looks so atractive for a buick. i would totaly drive it first i LOVED THE ENCLAVE!!! then when my neighbor got the lacrosse i fell for that to now this omg and its small

  • Ultimately people buy product and this looks better than most cars in its price range. The CTS revived Cadillac and this car will help revive Buick.

  • OPEL ????????????????????

  • Sigh....they couldn't build the new Regal on that Zeta platform that the Pontiac G8 was on? No V8? God, GM sucks today.

I have a 96 Impala SS and I swear, I'm never getting rid of it. What would be a suitable replacement?

  • the v6 of today outperforms the v8 of yesterday...

  • So what? The 96 impala ss will still be more desirable. Plus, the LT1 can be modified to perform with today's standards.

  • Maybe if you ripped everything off the car besides the frame. the LT1 is just an old barge

  • Hmm. Tell that to everyone that loves the LT1. It's a pretty big following.

  • @Monger4142

    correct you are sir

  • @jons44 Actually, the Buick Roadmaster 1996 out performs the Impala any day of the week.

  • Same engine. Are you refering to gear ratio?

  • I saw this car on the LA Auto Show and it looks awesome way better thank in video or pictures.

  • no one cares, go away.

  • Beautiful car!

  • First they cheat Opel

Now they robe the German technology to use it for their run down brands !!

  • edfdsdfdlfsdfdf,

I don't think you understand. Opel is owned by GM and Buick is owned by GM. This has been the case since 1929.

  • was opel owned by GM during WW2?

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah, but it`s kond of weird Opel has to save the whole group including Chevrolet. By the way, where are the great engineers of Chevrolet which`s much bigger ?

  • GM has put alot of money into Opel. They should get something in return. If it does well it will help them to rejuvenate their run down brand, & help keep Germans employed. Germans are getting paid to develope the tech. instead of Americans, but this is a reality of the Global marketplace... why reinvent the wheel when you can sell the same car on both continents in many cases? Opel will get the ampera electric car in return. Fair. Most Opels are made in Europe for the European market. Fair.

  • Ah nope ! I don`t think the ampera will become a hit, more probably a white elephant.

  • Oh kind of like how Daimler Benz raped Chrysler? Mainly for their heavy four wheel drive? Heavy diesel engine technology? They destroyed that company , during their rapeerrr I mean owner ship they invested NOTHING in Chrysler

  • What ?! Do you think they merged because of the Chrysler technology ? The Mercedes diesels were much better than the Chrysler ones at that time. Daimler wanted to expand on the american market. Incidently Chrysler was already run-down, the factories were antiquated; they were really surprised. Thus they had to spend a lot of money on Chrysler

  • @badgerattoadhall

they never really invested, but at least they stole technologies from Chrysler.

Look at the SLS AMG. That was supposed to be the next gen Dodge Viper.

If you google SLS AMG nect gen Viper, you'd see it. Quite fucked up.

  • @edfdfsdfdfsdfdf LOL that's the power of ownership I guess, they can do whatever they want, how they want, when they want. I love owning stuff. : )

  • We let you Germans robe Chrysler so dont complain. And you screwed it up so bad the Italians had to come in and save it.

  • cool

  • no V-6 only 4 cylinders and witha turbo.... sounds like GM is trying to save gas in its line of cars

  • go buick they are finally getin it

nice car all around I WOULD BUY IT

  • wowo i was like oh new buick regal vid maybe they made a new muscle car no its gay

  • This Buick looks pretty cool, I would buy it

    BUST A LOAD

  • no thanks buick

  • let me guess. you're 6 feet tall. and you're sitting in the back seat.

  • If they want buyers there gonna have to make an SS or V series car. Drop in the corvette engine, matte grille, 19-20'' rims, brembo brakes, recaro racing seats, etc.

Sounds llike the CTS-V eh? haha

  • GM needs to do more to promote the Buick Brand if they want to attract new kind of buyers.

  • Bucik sucks, I am going to bust my load in your face

  • i'm not a big fan of what gm is doing with their luxury brands, but their regular brands are becoming way better

  • manual tranny on a buick... Thats interesting

  • @napalm84 perhaps because its the same car as the opel insignia or the vauxhall idontknow. the opel is delivered with manual tranny

  • It's nice but the interior is a bit lacking to compete against a passat or a tsx. It's certainly not a bad car, but I just hate the Buick grille.

Opel is much nicer outside, but there are better competitors out there.

  • FUCK U THEN

  • Too many buttons on the dash !

  • Would you rather get loss in BMW's iDrive?

  • yes. the new bmw i drive is really nice, or Audi mmi.

  • its nice

  • hmm rebaged opel that sounds an awful lot like the old cadillac catera but then again this buick looks much better done and i would be very excited to buy this car! can't wait till it hits showroom floors! Go GM!!!!

  • Yep, it's just a rebadged Opel.

  • Rebadging is bad when the cars compete against each other (and are bad) ie the Bravada, Envoy, Trailblazer, Ascender, Rainer, and 9-7x.

When you've got a good car to start, though, and they cannot compete against each other, everyone wins!

  • It's a rebadge of an Opel that's earned rave reviews from a country that actually knows what a nice car is.

  • @digitalrebelxti have you even seen a new Buick in a showroom or on the road? Or are you just some rich punk who's parents will buy their car for them? Look at the actual thing before you just out and out bash it.

  • Pretty good styling.. I like the way the back looks

  • I will never ever consider a Buick....

I hope one day I will remember what i just said and feel sorry for saying it... but those days are in the distant feature...

  • feature???.....

  • Hey this guy finally said ROOF instead of RUFF LOL

  • Uhh...no

  • Very nice car!

  • sucks ass...just like your channel

  • sorry but i dont take advice from people who think hondas are cool.

  • I already asked if you wanted to hook up....

  • and i said yes....but you said you didnt want me to pick you up for our date in my honda....so now what?

  • eh just pick me up in your honda.

  • no can do....it needs a new battery now lol...can u pick me up in your 2011 buick? lol

  • I wish I had a 2011 anything. I have a 96 Cutlass with 160,000 miles hahaha....lol but i can pick you up in it haha

  • well....as long as the backseat is big enuff for us to have butt secks in ....it will be ok....so what time you gonna pick me up?...

  • Yeah it's a little cramped but it will work. How about 7?

  • 7 would be fine...be we just got 14 inch's of snow here today....so we should probably just call the date off...

  • thats lame! i got 16 and i can still get around ...we need a raincheck on our date

  • nice

  • Who care's if its a rebadge! It has yet to grace the potholed asphalt of America, and until it does, give it a fair chance!

  • @emjet14 Yup! Americans will give it a fair chance just like they did the Holden Monaro/Pontiac GTO.

Works for me! I don't buy new cars and a late model GTO can be had for $15k. I don't care what people think about the cars that I drive because most Americans know next to nothing about cars. PARTICULARLY how to take care of them!
