Initially I thought Richters performance to be rather pedestrian, however over time the playing has grown on me to the point where I now think it's very beautiful. I'd be interested to hear the polonaise, why is it not included?.
This is truly the most beautiful interpretation I have heard of this piece. Thank you for posting this. I think that it doesnt have to be faster just because it says so on paper. It can be slower as long as it is saying something. This is just my opinion.
Thanks for putting this on YT (saves me an extra move of slipping CD into the player, while on my computer :-)), but I do not believe that you should be suppressing anybody's opinion on the subject, however bizarre it may be. Do not let that little power of censorship corrupt your soul.:-)
What you cal "musical critic" by (iwantmusicplease-marcelmombeekeigen-marcelmombeek) is nothing but trolling. Check Google Groups for "marcel mombeek" and you'll find "picture perfect". As for your comments on Richter's performance - your stance is well known. Looks like you and marcel have quite specific taste. Why not to spend more time watching Liberace and Wehrmacht videos?

Everybody entitled for his/her opinion here, but your insistence on bashing Richter clearly indicates certain medical pathology. Enjoy your fame here unless your name will be blocked from this forum.
One hears his respect for the beauty, with the lovely lilting tone he lends it...but his mechanical conception of phrasing totally undermines all his best efforts here...as

A very introspective and intimate interpretation. Perfect for Chopin's music. Great performance.

Irritanting doesn't exist in the right of commenting with a normal education!
Otherwise it hasn't sense to put the possibility to post comments. Everyone can not agree!

A gem. Thanks p1ano for educating your public.

Where were you, marcel, when Richter was alive to tell him how to make his playing acceptable to your tastes? Too late to complain now ...

One always observes how profoundly musical
truecrypt's ideas are in response to a musical critique...notice also the elevated gentility of his response. He's frothing through the muzzle at
iwantmusicplease...all because iwantmusicplease really ...wants music...
not typewriting.
