  • @Sgnerf where to find stampede is i

  • where do u get those bateries

  • @10wyatt From DealExtreme website.

  • @Sgnerf Where do they sell gear up recon and vortex in Sg

  • @EXTENTIONARY Gear Up Series Recons were available in SG back in 2011, but seem to be mostly sold out nowadays, you'll have to shop around to find them.

Nerf Vortex blasters can currently be found at most major dept stores in SG (ie. Metro, OG, Toys R Us etc).

  • @Sgnerf thanks

  • @Sgnerf I found it on dealextreme but it never say unprotected and can u make a vid of how to modifi the jolt

  • @EXTENTIONARY On DealExtreme, the product title is "trustfire-14500-3-7v-900mah-rechargeable-lithium-batteries-2-pack-19771", those are the unprotected 14500 ones that i use.

Btw, also get the TrustFire TR-001 Charger too, its product title will state "trustfire-tr-001-multi-purpose-lithium-battery-charger-12594"

  • @SgNerf yo man where do you get the batterries from and do comment if i spelled batterries wrong

  • @josua478 I order my batteries from Dealextreme website.

  • @SgNerf ooooooooo thanks man and nice vid i like it so much that i got a rayven and i want to order them so are the batteries trusfire li 100 =16.8 v

  • @josua478 Each TrustFire Li-Ion rechargeable battery has a nominal voltage of 3.7V but when fully charged they are at 4.2V. So if you use 4 of them, they add up to 16.8V (4 x 4.2V).

Note that you need to use a special Li-Ion charger to charge them (do not use a normal NiMH charger).

Please read up on how to use Li-Ion batteries properly and safely beforehand.

  • @EXTENTIONARY No plans to do a Jolt modding video, its so simple to mod anyways and there are many guides already posted up by other modders.

  • Sgnerf can u give me the info for the batteries I don't 1 to buy the wrong 1 please thank u

  • @EXTENTIONARY As mentioned in my previous reply... i use Unprotected 14500 size TrustFire Li-Ion rechargeable batteries.

  • @Sgnerf the trust fire batt is sliver colour right? I'm ordering from amazon

  • @EXTENTIONARY Well, the TrustFire Li-Ion rechargeable batteries i use are unprotected versions and 14500 size. I guess you'll need to check the battery specs before ordering.

Note that you will also need to get a Li-Ion charger too, cannot use normal Ni-Mh chargers.

  • what the heck did u take out to but battarys in

  • why not make it fully automatic??

  • why do we need to press the button that create loud noices?

  • @Sgnerf trust fires batt in singapore

  • @EXTENTIONARY I've no idea where they can be currently found locally... i order my TrustFire Li-Ion rechargeable batteries directly from DealExtreme website (they offer free international shipping).

  • @Sgnerf So trust fires makes the rayven fire faster right and is rayven a good gun when it has the trust fires and which is the best nerf gun

  • @EXTENTIONARY The higher voltage feed makes the motors spin faster, hence enabling longer ranges. How "fast" it fires (as in rate-of-fire, number of shots per second) is still dependent on how quickly you can pull the trigger repeatedly.

A modded Rayven can be quite a good blaster if you know how to use it effectively in Nerf games.

There is no "best" Nerf blaster... the "best" blaster is the one that you like to use and can use well. :)

  • I'm not concerned much about range, but more rather the power behind the dart (I want my target to feel a paintball's force)

  • the mod is much more accurate

  • These guns are designed for normal batteries, what effect does the extra power have on the longevity of the firing and loading mechanisms? Plus, are there any adverse effects to the structural integrity of the gun from prolonged use?

  • @BakaHULK With higher voltage feeds, the motors will wear out much faster and there will be additional stress on the moving parts.

As mentioned in the full mod guide at my Mod Works site... "Modify at your own risk. Modifications may wear out or damage your blaster.". :)

  • Akimbo...

  • the voltage mod makes it seem like the motors are gonna burn out

  • where do you get the trust fire battries in singapore ?

  • @GMBuzzaway I order my TrustFire batteries from Dealextreme website, check the Rayven Mod Guide at my Mod Works site, you can find the links highlighted there (guide link is shown in the video description box).

  • they sell this at toysrus in california san jose for all i know

  • @Sgnerf what type of ammo dose it come with and what were the darts that were red called

  • @fireskrall97 The Rayven is originally packaged with glow-in-the-dark streamline foam darts.

The red foam darts i use in my modded Rayven are what modder call "stefans" (short length customized foam darts designed for range and accuracy), they are created from custom made foam and calibrated silicone tips.

  • Holy shit!!!! This gun is ausome!!! One question though, how do the motors compare to the barricades'?? And does the barrel affect range much, and can that problem be eliminated?

  • Hey zi built a Clip Fed Snapnit' on my channel sorry to spam but I had to do this!

  • this is gonna hurt with 16.8 volts

  • i got 1 at target $29.99

  • Really? If u see any, do update it on ur blog. Pls! Thx

  • T_T

  • @justinbruteforce Do keep a lookout for them popping up on local store shelves though, they are slated to be released in Singapore soon. :)

  • If is BNIB, I'm wiling to pay $75

  • ^including the firefly tech clip and glow in dark streamlines

  • Hi! I'm from the nerfsg forum. Are u selling one of ur Rayven? My budget is $65 for stock...

  • @justinbruteforce I have no more spare sets for sale.

  • @Jimmt0 That's why it's a bullpup. You're actually supposed to shoulder it and use your free hand to grip the 'grip' before the trigger. It's like how you would hold a P90 basically. That's how it's supposed to be fired.

  • the problem, i think, with this gun is that the one-handed grip is unstable, hard to aim.

  • Where do you get the dummy batteries?

  • @raz4128 I made them from AAA to AA battery converter shells with a thick coiled copper wire installed inside connecting the + and - contacts.

  • Haha, do you just leave your measuring tape out there or range tests all the time? xD

  • @ProsOnly1337 Well, range tests are only done when needed... i keep the measuring tape when its not used (its a spool type long measuring tape).

  • Hey SGNERF where can I buy trust fire batteries in Singapore so I can make my rayven longer range

  • @EXTENTIONARY Not too sure where that particular brand of Li-Ion batteries can be found in Singapore (there are other brands but i've not tested them before). I order my TrustFires from online electronics sites. You can refer to the full Mod Guide at my Mod Works site, all the info is posted there (link is in the video description box).

  • 1:18 Dubstep

  • That was an astounding range; 99 feet is the max distance, cool!

  • akimbo style mw3 shgyagsa

  • check my vids

  • give me one of your nerf you got lot of them plssssss :((( ihave only recon i got it from christmas plss give me the longstrike or longshot

  • 1:40 reminded me of COD

  • i no were he gets his stefhans!!!

he gets in from a company australiafoamsports

  • hey sgnerf, where can i get a longshot cs-6?

    please reply..........

  • @MrCcs98 Check at local dept stores in Singapore, there might still be some remaining stock left. Have to be quick though, it seems stocks are almost all sold out.

  • @SgNerf where did you by yours

  • @MrCcs98 I got mine a while back from an overseas friend... you could probably check sites like eBay to find sellers too.

  • @SgNerf and whats the place that you tested?

  • @MrCcs98 Multi-story carpark. :)

  • @MrCcs98

Pretty much anywhere that sells toys/ nerf blasters...

  • @FalseNerf i dont see them nows a day

  • @ShockerIAN Chill man! Nerf do get Boring sometimes.

  • why no 16V stefan test

  • I seem to have taken a liking to the Vortex guns, whose disks are slower, but much more accurate than streamlines...

  • Sgnerf how much is the gun? Cause I dont know where to buy at the cheapest price

  • @falte111 At this moment, i've no idea whats its official retail price either... guess we'll know once it pops up in dept stores soon.

  • Dude o.o I may eventually want a rayven. up 99 feet because of a simple voltage increase, that is sweet!

  • Anybody think its weird that his garage never has any cars in it?

  • @Redrash12 Top floor of multi-story carparks... no cars + no traffic. :)

  • @SgNerf oh cool.

  • @SgNerf wait, you live in Miami, right? I can tell from the buildings.

  • @Redrash12 I live in Singapore... though i guess buildings could look similar in both cities. :)

  • @SgNerf OOOOOOHHHHH!!! The transparent balconies that you cn see on the side look very similar to the ones in Miami. Wait, then how do you speak english if you live there?

  • @Redrash12 English is the first language in Singapore, everyone here speaks english. :)

  • thanks sgnerf

  • to be fair, the 16.8V ranges where erratic at best with some hitting only 58 while another hit 99.

sounds a bit crazy to me...... obviously they where REAL ranges, but I thinking having a tighter grouping at 12-13V is more desirable....as well as the fact that the motor will last a lot longer at that level.

  • @skullface1818 Yeah, at 16.8V the flywheel speed is so high that there is alot more slippage and mis-fires, so the shot ranges are very unpredictable.12.6V gets a more reliable combination of improved range and shot consistency.

  • The range is there but acuracy not that good

  • @Dialga459 hence why it will become a shoot from the hip-hope-for-the-best sidearm to reinforce a load-out with a more reliable/accurate primary like a snap, air powered blaster, crossbow, etc.

for its size, it should beat out all other possible NIC sidearms and makes for one helll of a combination with the stampede for HvZ.

  • Can I fit the recon front end on it?

  • @richie3345 Yes, btw you can read the full review of it at my SG Nerf site, all the info and photos of the N-strike attachment examples are posted there.

  • where do you get the batteries

  • @nerfwatcher Read the full Rayven mod guide at my Mod Works site, the highlighted source link to where i get my batteries is posted there (mod guide link is in the video description box).

  • SGnerf, you're stefans are AMAZING

  • @SgNerf finally ur videos came out

  • @makeitgo Seconded

  • Is it just me or is that gun uslessly unacurate?

  • @knis2me2 Yup, stock streamlines are naturally very inaccurate at range, not reliable for actual games... that's why i modded it to use stefans, which have more consistent flight paths and better accuracy.

  • @knis2me2 Something I noticed myself....meh

SHOOT FROM THE HIP! it will hit someone eventually.

  • you should have let the fly wheel rev up fully for best results ;)

  • @paolo814 So far, i've tested them up to 16.8V and after some prolonged firing i can already start to smell the motors overheating, so i guess that could be the "practical" limit. :)

  • @SgNerf How does that compare to the barricade?

  • @Samuraikidd271 It uses a similar dual flywheel system as the Barricade but has many additional new features. You can read the full review of it at my SG Nerf site, all the info and photos are posted there.

  • @SgNerf its one of the finest new blasters out their in my opinion and one of the easiest flywheel blaster to mod from what Ive seen.

Its going to work GREAT with some homebrewed 13 clips ^^

  • @Samuraikidd271 Id rather have one vs a cade : 3

  • @SgNerf Why I shall NOT be wiring in 2 9V batteries lol

that sounds like a bad idea......but 4 extra AA batts sounds like a nice cheap option for some reliable power :D

  • @chilipratacrab wow gay! chilipratacrab is GAY!

  • I want to see your Big Salvo 16 firing demo! >;)

  • reminds me of a nedaler from halo with the shot pattern

  • So higher voltage = Further distances ?

  • @Jacob13370 pretty much

but too high = plastic paper weight :P

  • Wow

  • So your telling me, that just by changing the batteries, you can increase the voltage? No disasembly required?

  • @legomaster1378 its pretty much that simple.

I prefer to wire in my own AA battery packs with the stock battery pack but that's just because I can and because I'm cheap.

  • 100ft

    GOD

muito bom mesmo pena que esta arma vai vir somente para o brasil em 2014

  • could you attach a barrel on it

  • @masterrr321 Yes, btw you can read the full review of it at my SG Nerf site, all the info and photos are posted there.

  • 99 feet nice mod!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Longstrike demo and test fire plaese

  • @aronstoneboovip Sorry dude, no plans to do a Longstrike video... 'cos its basically just a re-shelled version of the Recon. I've already traded away all my Longstrikes long ago though, 'cos i usually don't keep blasters that i never use in Nerf games anyways. :)

  • @SgNerf GASP...but...I love my strike ; (

orrr at least I love the ones Ive modded in the past (I only recently traded for one of my own)

with a external power stock, some decent extra springs, and every single overhaul my sick mind can shove into it I usually squeeze out a average of 70-75+ foot ranges with stock darts....

HvZ beast but I CAN see it coming up short in NIC wars against blasters that can hit 15-30+ more feet more reliably....

Its still my favorite of the RP blasters = )

  • @skullface1818 Guess i'm just abit too reliant on using blasters that average 140-150ft ranges in games... once one experiences those kind of ranges, its like turning to the "dark side of the force", tough to go back. :)

  • @SgNerf I know what your using that gets those ranges (Ive been to DIYZ blasters section of your blog : P).....but isn't 140-150 feet usually in the red zone for banning in wars?

I know that a singled titan, a almost universal ban, gets about 150 feet singled.....Of course I am not sure if you are kidding about those ranges or not so meh.

also how do you think your designs stacks up to Snap technology for homemades?

  • @skullface1818 For starters, after 5 seconds of research, I can say this for certain....

they are very war legal using hoppers and repeatable tech, tho idk about them riding a pure singled barrel.

Id also guess that their performance is about the same as a pump snap since they have similar or = power sources, seal, plunger size, ROF, and draw length.

yours just look a HELL of a lot better ^^

I also still LOVE my strike, tho your by no means on the dark side for not :P

  • @skullface1818 Yup, hoppered versions are usable too.

Btw, the reason why i prefer using modded AT3Ks nowadays vs my spring plunger custom blasters (even though they can both achieve similar ranges), is 'cos the same shot from an air tank blaster reaches a target faster than an equivalent springer.

In a typical stand-off at >100ft against an opponent with a springer, i can usually tag him, then still have time to leisurely step aside and watch his shot slowly fly past me. :)

  • @skullface1818 Actually, the blasters i use nowadays are my modded AT3Ks, they hit 140-150ft consistently with Topeak Dual G pumps + calibrated stefans.

Those ranges are already very common amongst the local players here 'cos most of them also use modded AT3Ks at our organized Nerf games too (mainly because AT3Ks are the blaster limit in our games, singled Titans/4B/SGL are still not allowed).

Check out the Nerf game videos on my channel to see the modded AT3Ks in action. :)

  • @SgNerf As for my custom blaster designs, they are actually based on a combination of the simpler SNAP designs and the more complex PlusBow/RainBow designs... i guess my own designs just aim to further enhance and simplify the building, and reduce the materials/tooling requirements of such blasters (i prefer simple and easy to build designs), its just an alternative method of construction. :)

  • @aronstoneboovip I'll be building my 4th ubber strike pretty darn soon ^^

the firing test will be up on my page when that happens :D

  • WOW 99 ft just doing a voltage mod

  • makes the gayest noise ever

  • @Starpigs92 Lets just say its quite noisy.

  • @Starpigs92 thats what she said!

  • dear santa...

  • @john77GREAT A little late buddy

  • @Starpigs92 hehe

  • I want something similar to the Longshot, but a bullpup like the Rayven...

SO MUCH NOISE FROM FLYWHEELS! D':

Epic mod. Jam door's the first thing to be removed, except on the Stampede, where it's good for a safety.

  • @MR0KITTY man everyone wants another longshot to coem around!

IDK...lets see. nerf listened to us wanting these kinds of blasters.

lets see if they just bring back the crossbow, except this time clip accepting = )

  • @skullface1818

I don't just want another Longshot-type gun, I want it to be a bullpup. (Magazine behind trigger.) It's be much better than the noisy flywheels of the Rayven...

  • No top comment, time to make this the one

  • Cant wait for the rayven!!

  • 4th

  • 3rd

  • 1st and cool mod.

  • 2nd

  • 1st XD
