Something I notice (which I do myself when playing) is that pianists have this tendency to rush music, or at least pianists around my level. I find it a bit annoying, but I'm guilty of it myself.

Sorry, I don't go on often. I have been playing since I was 4 and I shot this when I was 13. The whole piece took me about two months to learn from the POTC book that I got from musicnotes.

I think the fact it is out of tune adds to the piece, and makes it suit Jack Sparrow more. Though that is only my opinion.

Very nice! I can tell you've worked really hard on it. I especially liked 1:01 - 1:13 and 4:20 - 4:50. One thing you should work on is getting it a little slower, and keeping your tempo even. I find that having a story about Captain Jack Sparrow in my head while I play helps me to do all those things and capture his character in the music. Best of luck, and keep life musical! <3

no, he's not to fast. It's only 34 seconds shorter than it should be. If you want to see it fast, check out re:pirates of the caribbean jack sparrow (piano arrangment). He's a minute and 12 seconds faster than he should be. WOW!

Dude, I'm playing this song. From 3:40 to 3:54 is so hard. You have to play triplets of three octaves and its complex. You were able to do it perfectly, BRAVO!

bigno 16 is completely right. You can play the song well, but a lot of it, especially the beginning was way too fast. And bigno 16, can you play it? I bet you're better than this guy. If you can play it, make a vid, in the mean time I'll use this video for a reference for my own playing, since I'm not a natural piano player and don't have the sheet music.

You can play the piece. You've got the notes down. But it sounds very mechanical. Not a lot of feeling, tho. The beginning is a little rushed, and you're not playing the rhythm of the opening melodic line correctly...you're playing it as if they were triplets instead of dotted eighth 16th notes. There's a couple other spots where the rhythm doesn't seem quite right and where you tend to stumble a little bit. Some "technical rubato" is the best way to put it...Listen to the recording...
