Palmer PDI 09 The Junction vs SM 57 Microphone

Sound with the Palmer is quite good. Sound with the 57 is not so. What happened at the beginning of the 57 track - it was horrid for a bit, as though bother were on and comb filtering.

I agree with earlier post (ambience20) sounds like mic position and room are not utilized effectively... The Palmer sounds great tho'...

Actually, a LOT of musicians use both a Palmer and a mic in their mixes.
