team america fuck it up again due to unions, the 767 is totally unsuitable for the roll that the USAF is going to use it for, the KC135 it is going to replace has more compacity than it. the only plane the boeing company make that is suitable is the 777 200ER.

Looks like the Boeing offering for the tanker contract was "the clear winner" in the words of Pentagon officials. Nice to see they *did* pick the best airplane for the mission.

I know one thing. Boeing's refueling booms stay attached to their airplanes! ScareBus? Not so much.

The Airbus has just as many American made components in it as the Boeing offer. Why should you buy American when the American Product does less, costs more, and the variant proposed does not even fly yet. You want government sanctioned industry move to a communist country.

The US should buy the best possible solution for their requirements. Whether that's a US product or not. Anyway, these MRTT's, if selected again, will be constructed, from scratch, in Mobile, Alabama. Better than the 767 solution. If Boeing submit a 777 solution, it will be too big, too expensive and too long to get into production. Just pick the best one, guys. Put the one-eyed flag waving down for a minute and think about what's best for your war fighters out in the areas of operation.

Dude i was in the Air Force. If the Air Force said the Airbus aircraft is better then get factories over here and build the damn planes.
