@XXBlazeXXxx Place a dynamic_prop entity and set the model to one of the TF2 characters. Then go to the "Model" tab, in the entities settings, pick the animation or pose you would like them to use from there (it functions as a preview). Then when you have chosen one, go back to the main tab, and paste it in as it's default animation. This is from memory so I hope this helps. To change the team color, change the skin number from "0" to "1".
@qwerty222999 Gameplay has been taken into consideration when making this map. I have yet to see how well it plays out, but it was not intended to be just a set.
@NintendoSpoofer I understand where you are coming from, but this map surprisingly uses some of the darkest environment lighting settings. The darkness and gloom in Meet the Medic come from tweaking the contrast after producing the video from the game. As it stands now, some areas of the map are almost black. Any darker and it would be unplayable in areas unfortunately. Thanks for commenting!
@NintendoSpoofer Well the time of day (visually) is defined by the image printed on the skybox. Meet the Medic uses pl_thundermountain's skybox, and so does this map. So the actual sky itself is the same. The other thing to remember is, the time of day varies in the video. At the beginning of Meet the Medic, it's sunset. Yet towards the end, it's rather dark. All in all, there's little I can do beyond what has been done really. Thanks for the comment :).

Just one small thing , if you see the first camera for the spectator wich shows the outside of the hospital , i kinda get the feeling that the middle tower is a little too small.
@MunchyToast001 This is an older piece of footage. There have been a lot of updates since. Also, the Hospital was scaled from each individual part. For example, you make a window first. Then you base the width and size of all other pieces based on that same window. While the real Hospital as a whole may be slightly taller or shorter, the one I have created should be pretty much correct scale wise.
Hey, just a thought here but uhh... The window in the operating room maybe should be cracked? and have some blood on it? since scout took quite a header into it?
@kitchsc That was my intention when I started. The problem is, only the Soldier and the Demoman have poses that worked well enough to have them there. All the other classes looked strange when I tried to make it look like they were sat down or doing what they did in the video. Unless I get custom animation versions, I doubt I'll add more classes there. Though I'll put them in the ward with the two Heavys instead if they'll fit.
@juliandunn If I was to make another gamemode when this is final (has been released several times with different alpha/beta versions), I would definitely do CTF first. The map could work with that with additional rooms added for the intel. Consider it done when I make any new modes for it.
@juliandunn Also I should mention; in the large open area, there is a tunnel running under the main section (as the map in Meet the Medic is an extremely heavily modified Badwater Basin). This should give cover from Snipers to get across the map, and gives Pyros a place to lurk (though there are several places in the map to lurk).
the table that gets hit when heavy slaps the table to medics joke has a strange melee on it. its around 0:32 or 33
Also when heavy is holding his own rib you can see his gun in the background on a table.
and again when the bird gets hit with a piece of heavy heart you can see in the background that miss pauling is standing behind a glass window...something to look into.
@walshcody I didn't forget any of those. Sasha (his gun) in the background, is already in the game. I don't need a model made for that, so I didn't ask for it. I had still intended on placing it in the finished room. The operating viewing window is already there, you can see it in this video, however there are shutters covering them from the inside.

@tylermcbridecartoons It's unfortunately not big enough for it. It may not look it in the video, but it really is a KOTH sized map. There is no room for more control points with adding areas to the map that don't exist in the video.
Who knows, maybe if it becomes big enough, Valve may take interest in it. Who knows. Although, I expected it to be Attack/Defense like Gorge. I like it either way.

I must admit however this will be the 1st time working to make props for tf2 but I have made models for use in other games and such. Do you know what the scale for the game is in 3ds Max? If not I will just have a bit of a mess around and find out. All a learning curve
@BaronVonFail I've only dealt with Blender (seeing as it's free). For the things I've made myself, I used the video as reference by comparing sizes to other things, and also compared the models I made to items/models in the actual game. I simple resized the final item if it was wrong after compiling. Sorry I couldn't be more help there.

@dlomng The map is actually as dark as the environment lighting can go without it being too dark. Though I will consider trying to somehow make a darker version for the machinima version of the map that I will release afterward.

@Chess7051 The gamemode isn't a focus at the moment. The KOTH capture point you see before you was just dropped in as a prefab to make the map playable. If all goes well, there's no reason as to why I wont make other versions of the map in my spare time :).
have you done the medic's office? it was one of 3 easter egg pictures on the tf2 site before it was updated. you clicked a dove and got to a picture of either the office, the hospital, or the waiting room. if you check the tf2 wiki, and goto the dove's page, it has the three pictures, so maybe that might help...?
also loving the progress so far. did you do what valve did and modify...i think it was viaduct? i think that was what they used....
@mikebrightman I saw the images (I believe I mention it at some point during the video heh). In future versions of the map before a final release (e.g. when I release a1, a2 etc) I will consider adding the room. Right now I'm already swamped with models I can't finish in time. But we'll see, who knows.

Also unless you've got it covered, I could help make some smoke particles for the building. I've been working with particles for a while now, so I think I could make similar ones to what were in MTM.
@FissionMetroid101 It took me a while to find a particle effect that wasn't for the Skybox, that was big enough, and that allowed me to influence it's direction. I hadn't considered replacing them till you commented, so in other words, I'm interested in seeing how the custom particles would look!
@FissionMetroid101 All my sizes were done based on the "Meet the..." video itself. For the scale of the bucket/bomb, use the Medic as a reference, as they use the same scale model as the in-game one, that and the fact that the Medic is already decompiled for use somewhere in the SourceSDK.
@TheGmodGtards Alright, I'll do my best. If you could give me the dimension in hammer units of a hole in the building, I could get the smoke size more precise.
@FissionMetroid101 Sure. Just checked now. Using the hole seen on the left of the front of the building, the top of the hole is about 60 at it's widest point, and for the front of the hole (where the windows are) it's roughly 80-90 at it's widest point. I just looked VERY quickly so I could be slightly off, but that should be the gist of it.

@Chess7051 The gamemode isn't a focus at the moment. The KOTH capture point you see before you was just dropped in as a prefab to make the map playable. If all goes well, there's no reason as to why I wont make other versions of the map in my spare time :).

have you done the medic's office? it was one of 3 easter egg pictures on the tf2 site before it was updated. you clicked a dove and got to a picture of either the office, the hospital, or the waiting room. if you check the tf2 wiki, and goto the dove's page, it has the three pictures, so maybe that might help...?
also loving the progress so far. did you do what valve did and modify...i think it was viaduct? i think that was what they used....

@mikebrightman I saw the images (I believe I mention it at some point during the video heh). In future versions of the map before a final release (e.g. when I release a1, a2 etc) I will consider adding the room. Right now I'm already swamped with models I can't finish in time. But we'll see, who knows.

I just knew someone would make a map based off MTM!
Also unless you've got it covered, I could help make some smoke particles for the building. I've been working with particles for a while now, so I think I could make similar ones to what were in MTM.

@FissionMetroid101 It took me a while to find a particle effect that wasn't for the Skybox, that was big enough, and that allowed me to influence it's direction. I hadn't considered replacing them till you commented, so in other words, I'm interested in seeing how the custom particles would look!

@FissionMetroid101 All my sizes were done based on the "Meet the..." video itself. For the scale of the bucket/bomb, use the Medic as a reference, as they use the same scale model as the in-game one, that and the fact that the Medic is already decompiled for use somewhere in the SourceSDK.

@FissionMetroid101 Sure. Just checked now. Using the hole seen on the left of the front of the building, the top of the hole is about 60 at it's widest point, and for the front of the hole (where the windows are) it's roughly 80-90 at it's widest point. I just looked VERY quickly so I could be slightly off, but that should be the gist of it.
