  • pretty soon all these great cartoons will disappear because of greedy corporation taking things out of youtube with their copyright nonsense...even all the great stuff that have been there for soo long ....so enjoy it as long as its there cause tomorrow it might be gone.youtube is worse than tv now cause the commercial bombardment you get all the time just to make a buck...enough of the rant... love the show ...thanks to the uploader

  • hahahahahah I used to watch this show when I was 10

  • I Love It

  • I liked the Rowan & Martin Laugh In-type segment at the end. The jokes are corny, but the schtick is really neat!

  • Back when this cartoon was made kids had actual imagination. Today, all their imagination is born from a computer monitor or video games. This show was on Saturday mornings when kids looked forward to cartoons in the AM then playing OUTSIDE all day, using their imagination and getting exercise.

  • today cartoons suck

  • Great song from a great cartoon series in the early 1970's. Sadly, such cartoons are not shown on network TV anymore.

  • cumshots everywhere lol

  • This brings back memories of coming home from school, turning on the TV and watching this for a half hour.

  • I love that cartoon noise at 3:49 when the ghost makes a funny face in the window.

  • @pictureisup1 I was in 4th grade when this cartoon premiered. That silly laughing ghost is one of the things I've remembered the most over the years. (As well as every word to all the wonderful songs)

  • I remember this... omg !

    I love the 70's....

  • @ markcruiser64: how many ways can you really do a joke wall? :P

  • They should put this kind of cartoons back on TV. Those were the fun days of TV.

  • faved

  • Their one album (which has this song on it) is really fun... and no dumb sound effects!

  • @keithcop Dude, the sound effects add so much to the song. I'd rather hear it with them than without.

  • Good times...!!!

  • These monsters rock! Cool song.

  • drak sounds like mister whoopee from tennessee tuxedo

  • That's because they were both voiced by Larry Storch.

  • i love this cartton it was soo cool

  • I want my chairs and household items to do stuff like that!

  • Big friggin deal about the minor imperfections. This was a cool animation show with cool tunes. Loosen up people. I liked it & I guess you complainers kinda liked it too which is why you came here in the first place.

  • Yes, this was crap....but GOOD CRAP!! I used to sit in front of the TV Saturday mornings with a pen and pad trying to learn how to draw them ( no VCR's-quite primative! ) I still think they're cool, in fact I bought the DVD!

  • Classic Horror Rules

  • this was quaility.........

  • wtf.., goolies?.. :S

  • My generation was the last to enjoy this cartoon, in Britain at least, when it was repeated in the mid-80s. After that, it was never shown again.

  • Can you believe that they took the old cartoons off like popeye, animainiacs, and looney tunes because of violence but, it's ok to watch the simpsons, family guy,and others.Damn hipocrits!

  • I agree with you 100 %,Keith...cartoons today are just crap.

  • Anybody rememba the song "FEED THE GHOST SOME GARLIC, AND UL FIND EM' IN THE DARK"?

  • yep, I do

  • cos'è sta merda

  • AUSOME.....LOVE IT !!!

  • There was a show that came on in the 70's with the Wolfman, Dracula and Frankenstein it wasn't animated. They fought crime and drove around in a hertz does anyone know the name of that show?

  • It was called "The Monster Squad." There was obviously a 1980s movie with that same title, so don't get them confused. You can usually find the opening title sequence for the Monster Squad on youtube.

  • It was called Monster Squad.

  • Good, but little repetetive.

  • today's kids can't watch this because of ADD

  • They also cannot watch because this doesn't contain the excessive toilet humour that crap like "Chowder" has.

  • me?

  • 1 2 3 this is funneeeeeeeee!

  • I used to love this show...I had to get up early on Saturdays to see it...but it was well worth it....those were the good old days!

  • Notice that they're popping out of the stone wall and floor with the quips near the end of the segment is a parody of the joke wall on "Laugh In".

  • It has been over 23 years since I have seen this show!

  • aroooh roooooooooooooooooh

  • It's been ages since I've seen this show. It's spoOoOoOoky.

  • Does anyone remember a song from the show that something like "chica boom chica boom dont ya just love it,chica boom chica boom dont you just love it" If anyone has please post it cos id love to hear it again.

  • I remember that one, it was probably the best song out of them all!

  • This was on the Goolies' album on RCA. Pretty rare, but it was a fun album!

  • Chick a boom by Daddy Dewdrop....someone posted it with pics of their own....the Groovie Goolies did it on their show....but so far, no one has a clip of it. :(

  • I looked ay daddy dewdrop. Is that exactly the same version from the cartoon or did they have ther own?

  • it is exactly the same song....the groovy goolies pretty much lip synced the song. Since it sounded more like Wolfie singing....that's who they centered mostly on thru out the cartoon version.

  • Hi, I'm looking for this video clip of The Groovie Goolies doing chick a boom. If you ever find it please let me know. :-)

  • It's here (the original version) on YouTube. The performer is Daddy Dewdrop and the title is "Chick-A-Boom."

  • I believe the original version was by Daddy Dewdrop.

  • I totally forgot about this show...weirds as it was such a big part of my TV childhood. Thanks for the post!

  • I NEEEEEEEEEEDED THAAAAAT !!!

  • God, I used love this weird show. Thank you poster and thank you Filmation (R.I.P.), we kids from the 70's will always appreciate your work--even though some of us have gotten a little grey.

  • I remember all this stuff, who did the music for the show?

  • where'd you get this?

  • The Groovie Goolies was imagined as sort of a cartoon version of "Laugh-In", with classic horror characters.

Drac has the legs and footwear of a Vegas showgirl.

  • I can't believe I've finally found the groovie goolies, everybody I ask during a nostalgia chat no one else remembers Frightening Frank & Dangerous Drac & Weirdo Wolfie Toooooo...ACE!!!

  • I remember that song!!! Thanks for reminding me. Great memories!!

  • It's creepy,it's horrifying & musical,and I loved it.But I wonder if Casper & Wendy watched this video. They'd dance 2 the beat! Rockin' monsters rule!

  • 1-2-3

  • this was probably the first time i saw this since it was originally aired...i loved the show and i remember a lot of their songs... too bad they aren't shown on tv anymore even if they are dated.

  • This clip I don't recall, but it is cool either way!

  • Monsters can get scared too.

  • Now why would Frankie, Drac and Wolfy be scared of ghosts...hmmm oh well. I semi remember this.

  • If giant sperm was chasing you, wouldn't you be freaked! ;o)
