If the PCs are imported, of course they are not cheap as it should be; everyone forgot the embargos? That makes prices grow high. I live in Brazil where the situation is similar; the result: a lot of piracy, because just a few can buy original products.

As far as buying a computer, I'm an American that lives in England, another capitalist nation right ? I'm financially stable & I could easily buy a computer but I won't, instead I'm content on just going to the internet cafe & pay my 1 or 2 pounds. Most people in Cuba hate America's interference on their island which is why Castro is in power. look up the history and Guantanamo Bay and Gitmo and how the U.S. gave them a bad deal.
