leave the same flag, remove the stars and text. the flag is used internationaly and it has sacred text on it. and the stars were added by ba'ath so it should be taken off as well.

I agree with you. Remove the sacred text "Allahu Akbar" Most people and countries print their flags on shirts and soccer balls (etc.) and most people wouldn't want to wear that shirt in the bathroom neither kick around a soccer ball with Allah's (swt) name on it.

The whole purpose of a flag is to have a visual symbol conceivable by any human being from any country/origin in the world, and that is why there should be no writing on the flag, as not all humans know arabic.

As for the kurds, well, if they think they will be happy by becoming an independent state then that's their choice, the purpose of a country should be one thing: "to make it's people happy". So if "they" think independence will bring them happiness then so be it.

as an iraqi, i think the "new" iraqi flag isnt too great. although i dont like saddam i would like to keep the old flag, but the only way to liberate iraq and make the flag be held all over iraq (kurdish region) is if we come up a new one, other than the proposed one.
