  • yeah that how us dominican's blow out hair....but at the end you will always love the results.

  • its called a dominican blowout

  • @youngN101608 I know about the Dominican blow out but what she did on me isn't the same. I have since had one and they are definitely different lol (OUCH!). She only used the blow drier for about 2 minutes which is why I thought it was strange. Thanks for watching though

  • maybe you should try texlaxing instead :-)

  • I'm actually going natural. This vid is from last year. I'm 7 months post =)

  • your Gorgeous!! i love your voice too.

  • Thanks for the kind words =)

  • what product do you use in your hair??

  • when i made this video i was addicted to mango butter and i was using suave tropical coconut, cantu shea butter leave-in, and herbal essence long term relationship leave-in. I was deep conditioning with hair mayonnaise.

  • Your hair looks great!

  • thanks budgetqueen

  • You and i seem to have the same hair type. Im in the middle of a 11 week stretch and to me, Its not really getting thicker. i think I may as well face it, my hair is just fine.

  • Yeah curly looks work well for fine hair and roller sets will give us the illusion of thickness too. On the up side having fine hair makes being heatless easier which equals healthier hair =)

  • Well i have read about some ladies with beautiful hair stretching and getting great thickness. My hair actually looks a lot thicker from stretching it just doesn't FEEL thicker. I think it is because i am fine haired, but i will be trying castor oil. Lol im mad you siad it makes your hair nappier hahahaha i think it's the same nappiness as usual. You got me crackin up lmao

  • hey it sounds like you have a accent

  • yeah i talk weird sometimes. I mispronounce words and everything

  • LoL you're right I better enjoy it:)

  • yeah what's the point of having luscious hair if you can't show it off?

  • You so lucky I wish I can stretch my relaxer that long. I do my touch -up every 2 months because my hair grows really fast and it's really course.

  • Yeah im starting to do every 2 months now too. You should be happy your hair grows fast lol don't complain girl =)

  • uhmm your hair is beautiful.. atm im've been stretchin my relaxer and i sumtimes just wanna give up but my hair has grown so much since i started stretching for me its not hard to mantain its pretty much the same.. i am probably gonna strech it for about 6 months.. and maybe i will go natural in the future who knows but cool vid

  • Im happy stretching is a success for you. For me it's too difficult to be cute while stretching ( without heat at least) lol but if I go natural I will probably just chop it off and not transition too long, unless i flat iron =). More power to ya chica!

  • u talked about how ur hair is limp or flat...something like that. but if u want that full look find a stylist that uses the paul mitchell line. paul mitchell is the best thing u can ever have touch ur hair. but if u trust dominicans like that then go do u.

  • I love paul mitchell! straight works is my boo lol, but regardless it's the same result i have come to the conclusion, i am fine haired and that's ok. Thanks for the tip though. (this video is old so im liking my hair more these days) =)

  • hi dreamgrl3, what paul mitchell products would you recommend/like to use as in the uk there are so many products that we dont have i.e. chi silk infusions ect. but I have a Paul Mitchell salon right by my house! yay! would love to achieve the same effects on my hair as u guys!

  • hey, i honestly i think that paul mithchell has the best product out there and i use the special tea tree shampoo and conditioner. since u guys dont have chi i totally recommend super skinny serum. works way better than the chi, i believe, u get beautiful, wonderful results.. have a happy hair day

  • What kind of camera do you have?

    Not an important question.

    But really want to know,

  • lol i understand i wonder that when i see videos too. I have a 8.3 megapixel FujiFilm FinePix A805. It was 99 bucks at Sam's

  • Yeah I have been going to the Dominicans for a while and your hair does have a lot of body but what happens is if your looking for the thick hair look all they do is thin it out and it is a great look....but never let them put a relaxer in your hair...it will really thin your hair out.

  • This was my first time going to the Dominicans and they didn't use any heat in my hair so I don't think it was their fault it's been like this for years. I had my second trip to them in March and my hair actually felt thicker (YaY!). I think it's the heat they use that thins it and I always tell them not to put heat in my hair, i just get rollersets. Im going to stop going to them when I start back using heat though. Thank you for the heads up =) good lookin out

  • omg.. you have da same name as me.. well yea but is your name short for anything or are you just dessie... omg its weird i've never seen much people wit my name ur da first..cool

  • what products do u use to get your hair to grow? you hair looks great :)

  • thank you sweetie =) im going to put up a video of my products in like a week, but basically im a conditioner addict lol um as far as stuff that Makes my hair grow nothing, but i use moisturizer to keep it from drying out and breaking. Hope that helps!

  • omg how your hair got so long?

my hair is like how your hair was in the first few vids..

what shampoo & conditioner you use?

and do you use any oils?

  • lol i think it's just more even, but the same length as before since it got trimmed but i will send everything to you in a message =)

  • are you apl?

  • i was before i got it cut, but now im not sure where i am (im 2 months post). i should be back there or close when i get my next touch up in 2 or 3 weeks

  • what are you talking about short? girl your hair is long. I had to get mine cut too though but it was way short.(in my video) I toughed up and got it cut (It was my fault anyways) cuz I wasn't taking care of the hair like I know I can. I need a perm now so I'm wondering what that will look like. But yea I agree with you though...it's about the HEALTH. yea furreal.

  • i dunno about long lol....i guess it's an ok length. Im glad you are taking better care of your hair. I gotta go check out some of your videos =)

  • your hair is PRETTY and you remind me of my video in that yellow top. lol

  • Nice hair! We're the opposite; I have thickness and no swing! I want moveable hair but it's too thick! Sometimes after using a lot of products it soaks into my hair and make it feel nice and it swings but then after a day or two it becomes stiff again! Ah well, we will both work it out I'm sure!

  • lol have you tried the dominicans? i haven't really let them blowout my hair yet, but they rollerset my hair really well and my friends with thick hair say blowouts give em lots of swing for a while, even when they are due for a relaxer.

  • Not sure we have that kinda service in the UK lol. I'm sure they might know the technique in some places but noone here really gets Dominican blowouts...is it possible to do it yourself?! LOL

  • Hmm im sure it is. I watched them doing it to some people and all they used was a round brush and a blow drier, i heard it hurts though...so it might be better if you do it to yourself. lol There is probably a youtuber that has a video on them. If i find one i will make sure i send it to you

  • Your hair looks cute!!!

  • your hair looks really nice. how much is the blowout where you live

  • Thank you! The place i go to charges 25 bucks for a blowout, it's called Karisma

  • You're hair looks good...just keep it up and it will get thicker, one step at a time girlie!!! LOL atleast ur not getting breakage, something I am having a time with :-(

  • thank you...im sorry to hear you are suffering from breakage.

  • Girl trust me, just keep on taking care of your hair- moisturizing, deep conditioning, and using little to no heat, and you will see a difference in your hair's thickness over time :)

  • Thank you sooo much for the encouragement i always want things quick. You're right i need to be more patient =)

  • it looks very nice hun and if you continue to go heatless ull be surprised how thicker it will get

  • Thank you! Hopefully there will be improvement with my next relaxer

  • your hair looks great nice and healthy.

  • thank you =)

  • Your hair lots wonderful! You got alot of growth and its healthy. You want thickness, and I want length...we should trade lol!

  • Lol yes indeed!

  • It looks nice! Doesn't really look like its thin maybe you just have fine strands.

  • Hmmm maybe that's it!...the new growth feels really rough though lol so i dunno. Do you have any info on that? Im gonna have to message you hahaha

  • I don't think stretching is for the purpose of gaining fullness...i think it's to prevent damage from overlapping the relaxer onto the previously relaxed hair. Your hair grew a lot though girl! Congrats :-)

  • Yeah the main purpose of stretching is to further define the line of demarcation thus preventing the overlapping, but many women i have seen with luscious thick hair contribute most of the thickness to getting relaxers less frequently. I have also heard of relaxers thinning the hair so i decided to give it a try, as you see it was a lost cause lol (and i wish i believed my hair grew a lot hahaha thanks)

  • Your hair looks beautiful!!!!

My hair is thin too lol

because of you, im also going heatless. Ive been heatless for, going on, three months and I love it ! Try not to touch the ends of your hair too much lol

  • i kno, i have a horrid habit of running through my hair making sure i have no breakage. I wear my hair up most of the time because of this habit lol thank you and let me know if you have any success with more thickness

  • Well, going heatless has thickened my hair..but stretching relaxers with the combination has only prevented breakage (which, i desperately needed). I used to run my fingers through my hair every second of everyday..and I wore it down all the time lol Now i'm bunning everyday( and moisturizing the ends of my hair everyday) For thickness, though, I would try volumizing shampoo. The one that worked for me was aussie volume.

  • oohh i have heard wonders about aussie, but im trying to wait until i actually need more products to buy any of it. My friend also recommended a volumizing or thickening shampoo...im gonna be broke messing with yall lol
