@monkeygames18 I've heard him talk about turning his batter head tighter to the point where it has enough bounce to get rebounds like a snare. I would imagine the fact that its a maple sonor bass drum makes a huge difference in the tone. I also am pretty sure his bass drum dimension is not standard, maybe its 20 instead of 22 in diameter or even maybe 18. That should get you started, good luck.

No PA feed :-) I went old school and got out my old minidisc recorder. Plugged in a tiny little Sony stereo mic and sat right at the front of the stage. The keys is to keep the input level down and as you can hear.... it records great. :-)
