  • Ohhh they look so tiny and cute!!!

  • Hey I was wondering how to actually take care of a baby sun conure because my sunconure laid 2 eggs the other day

  • Hello there! I have 2 Sun Conures. The boy is named Kiwi and the girl is named Mango. Kiwi is 9 months old. Mango is 1 year and 4 months old. Is it possible that they could breed at this age? If so, do you have any tips for me? Please reply as soon as possible! - Heather

  • @Therther48 do not breed them at such a young age,for thier health and for healthy chicks wait till they are a min of 2 years old, these birds can live 20 years so you have plenty of time. be real real sure you want to breed it is a extremley hard thing to do, also if both birds are raised together they may never breed, I personaly do not breed "pets" I have a breeding pair of non hand raised parents for that.

  • @nonskids Thanks a lot!

  • Hey. I'm 15 and I was just wondering (since you seem experienced) which type of conure would be a good choice to buy. I would like to be able to take it to university or college when I go. I was looking into blue pineapple conures because they are beautiful and the store I went to had an affectionate one. I was just wondering what you might think? Please and thankyou !!!

  • cutest song ever :) That's a thing I seriously wish to do one day !

  • tiu tiu tiu tiu tiu tiu tiu tiu tiu tiu tiu tiu tiu tiu tiu :)

  • you're a great hand feeder =D

  • what kind of food can you feed a newborn, please i need to know fasstt, mine just hatched:)

  • I can't believe my Sunny looked like this once, htey're so tiny and pink and adorable.

  • im about to get a conure once i move but im not sure which type. i want one of the smaller breeds with a lot of personality. any suggestions? where would i go about adopting one? can i buy a newborn from a breeder or what?

  • @jlo91389 If you're not moving into an apartment (they're very loud, definitely get a sun conure. They have the most personality of all small parrots, and in my opinion they are the most beatuiful birds you can buy. The only drawbacks are that they are quite loud, (which with proper training this can be minimized), and they tend to attack strangers if you grow an especially deep bond with them. (At least mine does but I've heard most do)

  • Awww that's a lot of work, their hungrey all the time. How long do they sleep?

  • Браво!

    очень интересно!

    Сколько любви!

    и терпения.)

    (а чем можно кормить птеньцов?

  • the syringe you use has a white tip, one on them seems to have a curved tip, i have the O ring type and the no ring type which one is better and where do you get your syringes? as far as the incubators which one do you like better? the home made one or the other one, i found one at the feed store it doesn't have a fan or an automatic shifter but i can buy both as extras, also no humidity thermometer either, where did you get your heat/humidity thermometer? thank you for your help & videos....

  • @besamemucho5 I personally like the "o": ring typ of syringe they last longer dont jam and are easy to clean, I get my syringe's at local pharmacys one with the tip is made for ear or wound irrigation, the home made one is good if high humidity is needed or as a hospital brooder, the commercial ones are easy to use, therometers at, any department store in the weather section.

  • If I was to have some chicklets. Because I have a male green cheek and a new sun conure that I dont know the sex yet. But if they were to mate....do you think you could send me an email on what I would need to do. Just wandering. If its too much than I understand.

  • I have never heard a bird make that sound. great video and lovely birds.

  • I LIKE THE SOUND THAT THAY MAKE SO CUTE

  • is it easier to do it one bird at a time? lol

  • @99hamsterlover no , while one is swallowing I feed the next , it saves time not having to wait, also, f.y.i. you will know the chicks airway is clear when it starts cheeping again, then and only then , it is safe to give more food , if done before that time , the chick may inhale the food and that is almost always fatal.

  • @nonskids oh

  • Great Job!

  • look like they like heavy metal aswell

  • did they all make it?

  • how ofting do you feed the chicks?

  • umm arent you supposed to insert the syringe into the mouth from the left, pointing the tip into the right side of their mouth ? you know, to aim it into the crop on the right, not the lungs on the left

the way the baby shook its head looks like they do when they get some in their lungs!

    how are the babies now?

  • Unlike most breeders I never insert the syringe into the esophagus rather I just deposit the food in the beak and allow the chick to swallow the formula naturally in that case it doesn't;t matter what side you feed from , it takes longer but is safer -, jamming the tip in and "pumping " the crop full of formula is lazy , unnatural and leads to problems like over feeding, aspirating, burned crop , stretched crop, etc. The way I feed , if something is wrong , the bird wont swallow.

  • I agree I think they way you are doing it is a lot safer, I have never had fed baby birds but it seems more logic to put it in the beak and allow the baby to swallow on its own.

  • @nonskids That is exactly how I fed my Congo African grey when she was a baby. She was much older, but I personally think that feeding them how you described is more natural. I've seen my finches feed their babies, and their beaks don't go down the throat. As I told my vet, "I just squirt the formula in there and let her work the rest of it out herself."

  • @nonskids Would you recommend that way for a first time hand feeder? I will be getting a 1 month old Sun conure which I will have to feed 3 times a day. Would you recommend just pumping the formula into the beak rather then the more evasive way?

  • hi, i have a 1 month old ringneck and doesnt want to eat like that by puting the seringe in his mouth, so my local petstore dude gave me like a small flexible plastic tube to take it down his troath and push the food directly in his stomach, do you think its a bad method? cuz im feelin pretty bad for the chick but in the end cant leave him without any food.

  • Cyber sounds!!

  • What food is this that you use to feed them ?Could you tell me that in stages please Because i was thinking of buying an egg and incubating it aswell

  • I use "Exact" hand feeding formula with " instant ounces" suplement added.

  • it will be distended but not stretched out

  • i think they are so cute!

    ahhhhhhhh adorable

  • How do you know if it's full or not?

  • when the crop is about 2/3 full, It doesnt really matter anyway , feedings are every 2 hrs.

  • tyvm ^^

  • they sound like laser beams! lol! so adorable. :)

  • Cute little Sun Conures, looks like you are extreamly gentle with them.

  • Yes you have to be, some breeders shove the syringe right into their crops , I fill their beaks and allow them to swallow naturally, its safer and more natural,

  • they kinda look like baby aliens at first LOL but they are cute aliens

  • they are soooo cuuuuuute! what's that ting u feed them with?

  • "Exact" hand feeding formula made by "kaytee" mixed with "Instant Ounces" a high fructose supplement in a syringe.
