I really like your video, but it is so dark, Its difficult to see. I've cleaned the components (like the charger and the end that gets screwed into the cig part), and it really helped. Will try this, but I don't think I can get anything better than 70% isopropyl alcohol. Thanks for the info!

iso is safe, it evaporates overnight or instantly... buy 99 percent though, not 74 percent or whatever..it is cheap and it works....it will work 50 times better if you heat it up a little first on the stove not microwave, you will kill yourself if you use microwave lol......i am very well rounded with this stuff, i have been cleaning my glass pipes with it for years.. it has a smell after it dries but it will come off wwith a rinse in hot water

I only had 99.9% Iso-Alc... Is there any reasons against using that instead of a lesser percentage?`

Also, in your experience: How long will an Atty really last if you keep it clean? I'm a new ecig user (GGTS SS), so knowing this will help me greatly in deciding how many Atties to buy to be on the safe side...

I've read that when inhaled, isopropyl alcohol can be harmful to your respiratory system among other things. In how much time does the alcohol evaporate? sorry for double posting

@lucastufumaste Hi. I give it 24 hours. In some states you cannot get anything but denatured or Isopropyl alcohol. Isopropyl evaporates cleanly leaving nothing behind. Inhaling it is bad... so dry your atties well.

This is very helpful, although I still have one doubt which is if I let it dry over night will all the alcohol have evaporated? And is there any other method of speeding up the drying process that you suggest? Such as using compressed air after the cleaning process? Much appreciated.

@lucastufumaste A hair dyer on high should should dry it in less than 15 minutes.

that sounds like a great cleaning method but i wanna know how long does the atty last when u use alcohol. does it kill the life span for it?

tried this cleaning method, the problem is the taste of the isopropyl which is hard to get rid of and tastes disgusting.

@ManicMaurice I have tried it with the older style boge/bauway cartos. To be safe I let them dry for a week in an airflow. It did work. Although I only did this with two of them, I'm not a big carto user. Your experiece may be different.

Not necessarily a design flaw... Vaping creates condensation..... water vapor is always going to do this.... you dont want a de-humidifier in there right? Perhaps some kind of honeycomb filter lined in the atty would catch extra condensation... but then again how would one clean those or dispose of...?

I use a plastic foot pump that comes with a plastic accordion like air hose that is meant for pumping up air mattress with your foot, and it also comes with adapters that fit very well into the attys 510 ,801, 901,306, etc. This method is simple, I use this method each night before retiring to bed, with getting every bit of juice out of the atty, and like you stated you will need to prime the atty with a little extra juice when first using it again. thank you for showing exactly how to do this. i was scared to try because all i could find was cheap talk on forums. short worded explanations saying simply to clean it with alcohol. not how. i've got an atty that could use a good cleaning. going to pick up some rubbing alc tomorrow. hope it works as well as yours.

I saw your vid GREAT IDEA !and read comments.CONCLUSION:I take 91% iso alcohol using a syringe fill a carto condom(the plastic cover preferablly the longer one and move your atty up and down;it'll kinda froth up.I let it sit for 5 minutes in the condom you'll see the dirty juice after you take the atty out, blow the juice out of the atty into a towel, let it dry for a coupla hours you'll all good,I was using too much alcohol using your method. ^INSERT JOKES throughout ^ but it really is faster

Well, there's that. That was one of the best videos I've seen for consistantly cleaning atomizers... but there's some fine details I'd like to iron out.

1. What do you do with the left over Alcohol? Is it reusable or do you dump it and replace it every evening?

2. You never spoke about the longevity of your atomizers before and after the method. I know that obviously before that it seems like they would die much quicker but... I'd like to know what sort of longevity you're getting out of them.

@Interverse I do not reuse the alcohol... but it's very cheap. As far as the atties go, I'm not willing to make claims that they last longer. I m willing to say that they work more consistently for a longer period of time and that perceived flooding does not happen.

Too much trouble... unless you are on a fixed income, with the price of attys, who cares... I just buy them in bulk, cheap and easy. I am messy with my attys... juice all over the place and I never have a problem with my 510 yeti's and they last me 3-6 months so I have no idea what everyone else is doing, but this seems to be to be a big waste of time, and frankly, my time is worth more to me than doting over an atty.

@jbardi I dunno, some people, myself included are just of that mindset that, if we can avoid a piece of hardware failing then we'll do it. Maybe it's an engineering thing. I've no experience with electrical engineering, i'm a geologist, perhaps the mentality is the same though lol

@PocusUK and michael CNC machinist/programmer here that makes 3 of us always improving things. I use everclear instead eliminates the iso taste and safer to vape my 2 cents

Great video, i'm atty's are preforming well, but I bought a bottle of 70% isopropyl and i'm gunna try this method when they start to get gunky.
