Even to this day, I would love to own an 850csi!! Especially the Alpina version,. With the six speed behind a V-12, you cannot get more intoxicating than that

cool...we have the normal 850..still nice as so comfortable. good and relaxing sitting. smoooooth motor--well, its like what you get by 12 !! ^^ cheers

whys a 8 series have a m badge? they never made a m 8 series, unless the csi had a m badge engine

The 850CSi is mostly a BMW Motorsport car without the designation. The engine is also a BMW Motorsport engine, coded as an "S70" 5.6L V12. The "S" prefix denotes all M-class engines (M3, M5, M6, etc). ...but they never finished the 'real' M8.

@seb448263 no, the S70 in the F1 and the S70 in the 850 are very different. they dont even use the same block.
