This is one of the few issues where I differ from Michael Moore. I feel that we DO belong in Afghanistan, but certainly not Iraq. I'm not going to enter a debate on this, because it will degenerate into 9/11 conspiracy theories and all sorts of useless arguing. I do feel strongly that our operations in Afghanistan have been bungled in the last few years, and that often we are sticking our noses into places they do not belong.

I knew John Hayes, he was good and honorable man. Those of you who wish ill will towards the men and women who are protecting you and the people in Afghanistan need to get a clue. This man served with me in 2nd Recon in the 90's and I can tell you he was a caring individual who wanted the best for all mankind. He was not blind to the fact that there are very evil people in the world who want to rule over or kill those weaker than themselves. John was a defender of the weak.

This is one of the few issues where I differ from Michael Moore. I feel that we DO belong in Afghanistan, but certainly not Iraq. I'm not going to enter a debate on this, because it will degenerate into 9/11 conspiracy theories and all sorts of useless arguing. I do feel strongly that our operations in Afghanistan have been bungled in the last few years, and that often we are sticking our noses into places they do not belong.

You might remember that U.S. troops entered Western Europe in 1944, and we had to stay for 50 years to keep you safe from the Soviets.
