  • Dude!!! thats the spring valley range! thats my range as well, cool vid and it helped me out...i was looking at 3x mags and was wondering if it would be enough, i know now that i will be getting a 5x or 7x. just cause i like to do longer distance bull shooting along with standing short range, thanx for the vid and maybe we will run into each other out there

  • @goodbeer111 Yep, its a handy place to have near by if you can manage not to get shot there. I watched the one guy look down the barrel of his rifle to see if a round was stuck in it. That was after he muzzled a few people... Can't beat the price of the place though!

  • youre assuming that your potentially tactical emergency shoot out will be to your time fram standards and that the bad guys will wait while u get you stuff squared away, thats a typical civilian thought... usually when the s**t hit's the fan whether your at home or in combat.. it happens when u least think it will.. or when ur tired.. or when ur taking a dump... or busting a nut.. or when its cold.. or raining.. or extememly hot.. so just a thought.. but otherwise you got great optics anyway

  • @shootload1911 The idea is that its not going to be an emergency to have to shoot someone 200-300 yards away and if someone is coming from that distance I have time to put the magnifier on. Sitting in my house I can't see that far away anyway, so there is going to be no "need it on now" emergency that I'd be dealing with. So I figure I have a little time.

  • @snareman95 Well I'm just saying that the bolt catch and charging handle upgrades, wierd fore-arm, the two optics, and that wierd fore-arm grip thing, would make anyone I know uncomfortable. The stock is fine though I guess.

  • @HitTheWheel Anything is uncomfortable to someone that isn't used to it. I'd be fairly uncomfortable with a 1911 with all the levers, switches, cockers and decockers. I just hardly ever shoot one of them. I'm plenty comfortable with the use of everything on my rifle though. Its just a matter of practicing and becoming proficient with whatever you have. If I was in the Marines I might feel differently I suppose as I don't think their rifles have as much on them.

  • sweet set up, how much did the two sights cost individually? im sure they were costly because of the name " AIMPOINT" they are no joke they make good stuff and it's expensive from what iv'e seen... so im thinking you dropped about the cost of a new ar-15 for what you paid for both of those aim point's am i right?

  • I'm going to use this video as an example of a gun that's too complicated. To many accesories.

  • @HitTheWheel The rifle looks much different these days, but I don't think I had that much on it compared to many I've seen.

  • Hey thanks for the review, you did a really nice job, is the 3x not enough for the 100 yd? I was debating getting something that provides more magnification

  • @anyvideoanywhere Thanks for watching. I'd say that it does pretty well at 100 unless you want 1" groups in which case you'd need something with more power.

  • if i was single id def have to get one... fml

  • I like your video but that son of a bitch in the background is very very annoying... 3 inches to the left and 4 inches to the right, your low, shoot lower, go to the left .. your 5 inches too high... Jesus Christ the guy can't shoot worth a shit...

  • @M1ASniper Yea, no kidding! LOL...

  • @M1ASniper i was thinking the same thing...he does not need to aim anywhere but at the damn target and learn how to shoot lol.

  • Can anyone tell me is there is a magnifier that works with any optics not just like an eotech or something.

  • What optic would you recommend for somebody that would be in Infantry transitiong from mid to long range?

  • @Ascenscion123 I really only have experience with this one optic so I can't say for sure.

  • @snareman95 So with aimpoint pro(without magnifier) can you shoot with mid to far ranges ,Im talking at least from 0 to 300 yards? and if so can you shoot smaller targets precisely with the simple dot and does it magnify?

  • @Ascenscion123 I've only tried it out to 175yards thus far and it wasn't too bad, but was definitely better with the magnifier attached. I have a 300 yard course coming later this year. Its probably going to be hard to see stuff at 300 yards without magnification (just assuming).

  • @snareman95 Thanks, ehy do you know any tactical folders that are 4 inches or above : ) sorry if im playing 21 questions

  • @Ascenscion123 No problem. How about the Benchmade 741 Onslaught

  • need to get em as close as possible..closer then that if you can...and i kno you can

  • @MultiSr16 Why? There is no eye relief on the Aimpoint Pro. If you get it closer it has trouble twisting on.

  • @snareman95 you get a better overall field of view when its right up against it., never tried it with the twist mount so that could be a problem twisting it on like you said., i run the M4s with 3x but its in a LT pivot mount so i dont have to take it on and off., but yea, try n get it closer. i actually run my m4s one notch back then where your at now., it lines up better one back with the magazine well as well., and the ejection port door., try it one back for a week and tell me u dont like it

  • @snareman95 you wont lose your zero either if you just move the PRO back one.. i kno you cant move the 3x cause the eyer elief on those.., well mine anyways., SUX.., so just move the PRO back 1 PLEASEEEEE., thx., CPL ENT., US ARMY

  • @MultiSr16 I will try it. :-) Although its going to be awhile before I can get back outside to shoot it.

  • twist mount works great for flashlights as well...

  • Great review!

  • @checchia Thanks!

  • Is that a tactical bolt release lever on you AR-15 ??

  • @Mrboombastic266 Its the Magpul BAD Lever. Check out my review of it. Works great!

  • what do you call an interuppting gun 2:34

  • Good video bro

  • @humans4targets2 Thanks!

  • i gotta get a gun permit...

  • awesome set-up

  • @100proof4life No problem. Glad you found it useful!

  • Great review!

Wonder what the image looks like if it gets wet (from rain)?

I live in a wet environment and it would suck to loose magnification at a shoot because the objective got wet..Maybe it has no effect on things?

    Nice AR btw

    Peace

  • @Smokin07ram Thanks! Yea, I've never had it out in the rain so I'm not sure. I'm taking 3 AR classes this year which are rain or shine. Maybe I'll find out, but hopefully not!

  • what rifle is that?

  • @LtColSantos S&W M&P15 PSX

  • lol LaRue Tactical is always expensive x)

  • magpul are fucking great

  • does the aimpoint have anny parallax???

  • @MrPlaystationboy No, I believe its parallax free.

  • @snareman95 ok thanks :)

  • @BR4NDONcec ya, but they compied it from the game no? so thats why i talk about it

  • @juki0h I am going to assume you are trying to be funny?

  • @Wilson10164 funny? i guess i dont know, all i know is that this is in mw3, copied the idea i assume.

  • @juki0h You need to work on your trolling, as it stands now it's way too obvious. The best I can give you is 1/10.

  • @aopdjasldksa ill get better at it, i promise! you will see!

  • Great Vid and Review...Thank you

  • @4sark Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it!

  • thanks for posting the vid, super helpful! I'm really torn between the Aimpoint w/ 3x magnifier vs. a Trijicon Acog.... think the only thing the Acog now has going for it is the bullet drop compensator :-p

  • @aodhanof90 Well, not with this setup. I added a Daniel Defense rail and now it fits. I need to make a vid soon here showing everything I've done.

  • @snareman95

hey thanks for the info, I ended up getting the 3x mag off amazon for $360 so not too bad. still waiting for aimpoint to return my call about the s/n being real or not (you never know) but I noticed you removed your rear sight to get this to fit on your receiver. I have BUIS and I think i might have to do the same thing because the eye relief just isn't right, either that or move the aimpoint pro a few spaces up onto my free float rail.. what do you think is the better option?

  • @tactical4587 All BUIS are back on the gun. I put on a Daniel Defense Omega Rail (check out my review) and moved the Aimpoints forward a few notches leaving space for the front and rear Magpul sights to be put back on the gun. I haven't made a vid yet showing it though.

  • just like mw3

  • what is that one your bolt release i always been curious.

  • @sweetswantonbombs The Magpul BAD Lever. I have a review of it

  • I hear strange echo ? Is it Chris Costa ?

  • @bobek87 Nope, Chuck Testa

  • I looked at prices for these items and everywhere Ive seen is about 700 for the mount and magnifier, combine that with 800 for the red dot and mount, and your talking the optics cost more than what the gun cost! i paid 1700 for my stag model 8 out the door, these sights are cool but are they the value of another gun cool?

  • @tactical4587 Botach has the 3x and twist mount for 3 something. Aimpoint PTO that I have was ~$400. Its definitely a lot, but at least less than the price of the gun. I think I paid $1100 or 1300 - can't remember exactly which now. I'd always heard that the optics would cost as much as the gun...

  • thanks man very helpful

  • @cooliseli Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching!

  • How do you like the eye relief with it hanging over the buffer tube? I have the same red dot and am looking at the same magnifier.

  • @therealrrc It seems perfectly fine to me. No complaints.

  • good video on this pruduct thanks i mad up my mind haha

  • @dumpeaple21 Thanks. Glad you found it useful!

  • Great review snareman95, been trying to decide what I want to get. Thanks for the review!

  • @ColeSappify Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!

  • what model mount were you going to get? i want to get the pivot mount from larue but am unsure of the model that i need to get to line up correctly with the PRO

  • @culum Its the one that's listed on the Larue site with the scope attached.

  • JEEZ DUDE IM TRYINTO FIND AN AIRSOFT TWIST MOUNT :)

  • Haha - Spring Valley Wildlife Area Range. Was just there yesterday with my AUG.

  • @MightyGlock Can't beat the deal for $24/year! :-)

  • nice review

  • @pimppinoy Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

  • How much rail space (In inches) does the duo take up?

  • @RyanHoulio The way I have it set up, from the back of the magnifier mount to the front of the PRO mount is 5 7/8" and from the back of the magnifier itself to the front of the PRO is 10 3/8"

  • @snareman95 I want this on the top of my carry handle, and am 5/8'th short of rail space, think i could squeeze it in?

  • @RyanHoulio It'd be tight. The problem would be the space between the two. Its its too close it will be hard to twist the magnifier off. You could look at the flip over mount that I talk about at the end. Its more expensive, but you can put them much closer together.

  • @RyanHoulio get a rail extention

  • @EchoX3Airsoft Yea, I'd think that the difference would be in the mount. Maybe one has a spacer and the other doesn't?

  • @EchoX3Airsoft Thanks!

  • The twist on/off mount is the better choice. Having carried an M-4 on many road marches and patrols both domestically and abroad, I know the less weight you have on a weapon offers the operator less fatigue and more maneuverability. The last thing you want is extra weight and bulk hanging off your weapon. The twist on/off mount provides the operator a quick on/off solution. Performing twist on/off drills, an operator can become just as effective with the magnifier.

  • @neverendingattrition Thanks for the real world experience opinion. Makes sense! Thankfully, I haven't had to make any forced marches with my AR. :-)

  • nice....

  • @YeuLaKho Thanks!

  • good vid nice set up on your ar

  • @ddsig226 Thanks!

  • You reasoning makes great sense.

  • @TheNYShopper Thanks!

  • IMO, you are rational and your philosophy is correct.

  • @JimmyGunXD556 Thanks! :-)

  • Ah, another guy from Ohio. I go to that range.

  • @ar0perator Its a great deal for the annual price you pay isn't it? Not bad if you get there when it isn't too crowded.

  • Nice Video and a great rig..

  • @EnduringEagle Thanks!

  • When you mean the mount loose was it was it interfering with the aliment? or it was just miner

  • @cyborgee1 Sorry for the confusion. I just hadn't tightened the screw enough when I first put it on and every time I fired the rifle it would get a little looser. Its perfectly fine now that I tightened it down.

  • @snareman95 no prob's man great vid

  • The other thing about the twist mount is you can use your magnifier as a monocular. I am all about finding multiple uses.

  • @TacticalCWAT I know I mentioned that in one of my out takes. Must have ended up on the cutting room floor. :-) Thanks for pointing it out!

  • Awesome AR u have there!

  • @YochananT Thanks!
