Excellent video Chris! You were the reason that made me decide to buy a Buddipole. I'm very happy with the portable setup specially the video where you show how to setup a 2 element beam for 6 meters. I made a 2 element beam out of Buddipole accessories. Excelllent results! Thanks Buddipole!
I can't tighten the coil directly to the VersaTee like in minute 1:10. There isn't enough space because of the ring terminal. I neither can't bend it enough to get it tighten. Any ideas?
God, what a hassle to set it up. I was looking for something to just plug in and go with my Yaesu 817. Any ideas what's around where I can do this and set up in less than 5 mins, easily?
@MinkeySimon Hassle? We think its an amazingly cool design. Consider that he is explaining all this as he goes. It could easily be done in just a few minutes if he were not explaining it all. DX-Peditions sometimes take days to set up antennas.
Deploying an effective antenna is key, there is no such thing as "Plug in and go" if you want to be effective. Perhaps some antenna theory study is in order?
This video was confirmation that I have been setting up my Buddipole efficiently since first purchasing it several years ago. I love Cannon Beach! Thanks for the scenery! My wife and I have stood on that very spot. 73 from WA7BAA-Don-Spokane, WA

@N0rthwestRadio no such thing as plug in and go - what about the par end fedz.
RIDDICKorigional 1 year ago
@MinkeySimon Yes my advice would be the par end fedz antennas from par electronics.

@MinkeySimon If you consider setting up an antenna a hassle, you may want to re-evaluate your choice in hobbies. lol

Great instructional videos. Might consider putting a few of these on DVD and include with the Buddipole package for new owners. I love my Buddipole.
