  • An enemy who would gladly kill me, rape my children, burn my home and destroy my land deserves no better from me. We are all human. I get sick of people playing this "holier than thou" game where we pretend like our morality holds us above them. Bull...you think no one is watching you you act? You are no better than the terrorists you hate. It's called human nature.

  • As a Goldwater-republican, I have no love for "liberals," but I have to say that the ignorance demonstrated in so many of these comments is embarrassing, and the willingness to condone torture is appalling. I'm ashamed to admit to living in the same country as people whose sense of morality is so perverted.

Congratulations on embedding your heads firmly in your rectums, all in the name of a sick and twisted sense of "patriotism." You are pathetic and disgusting; may God forgive you for it.

  • Yeah, how is this working out for us now? Has the torture stopped? Have the wars stopped? Barrack isn't the savior after all, is he? No, we just turned off and turn away from all the horrors being perpetrated in our name.

How can we think to escape damnation? We will all eventually pay for our apathy.

  • Thank goodness the celebrities know how to protect us better than our own government. Fucking liberal trash.

  • I think we need to do worse...It is very silly to call this torture.

  • torture is what the gooks did to jeremiah denton. all these techniques are desined to srew with the individual psychologically.

  • Torture? Torture is watching these half-wit Hollyweird fools trying to act as if they have two thoughts in their empty little heads. THAT is torture.

  • hey celebrities FUCK YOU!!!!!!! if we want your opinion we will give it to you.

  • Every technique but water boarding was used many times over on myself and other children in my graduating Catholic elementary school class. Tell them "Do not torture in my name!"

    Clarence Dember Jr.

  • I'm thankful for the ACLU - thankful that folks like this aren't on the front line of the war.

It's good to know these folks will feel morally superior as a building is atomized. Or terrorists detonate a dirty bomb. Or whatever else isn't stopped because of muddleheads like this.

Tell me Rosie Perez wouldn't want to attach Habib's balls to battery cables if she thought he had infomation about a jeopardized family member.

  • @mmyford When they show that stuff like that actually works on these fascist lunatics (you know, in real life and not on 24) I'll be there with you applying the electrodes.

  • Do you think these views were held right after 9-11? I think not.

  • Again, interrogation is tough. And it kept the US safe.

  • I agree, I'm against torture.

Yes, waterboarding was done on 3 confirmed terrorists. It is also practiced on our Navy SEALS to train them deal with panic of drownding--is that torture?

  • Torture is wrong.

  • Yes, it is torture.

That is why Navy Seals are trained in it.

  • No smarty pants, it is actually used to help them overcome panic associated with drowning.

  • Self righteous hypocrites.

Sorry idiots, interrogation is tough. If you want to leave anyone a message, please direct it to the side of the conflict that is cutting off heads, drilling holes in the body, beating with rods and ultimately killing the victims.

  • Should have been more. Pull there finger nails off with pliars. -an nco

  • torture should only be authorized when theres proof that the person is working with a terrorist

then again its inhumane, and extreme. But its absolute justice. Then again absolute justice is very crazy.

  • You mean we're not the good guys?

  • lol

  • Excellent video, thanks to all of you who made this. I'm passing it along to everyone.

  • If OUR representatives aren't accountable for their actions then we're in more trouble than many can imagine; because if corrupt and criminal representatives know they won't be held accountable by the citizens of the US. They won't stop. To their way of thinking, why should they? - It's up to "We the People" to stop them. There's no one else.

  • The content of this video is excellent and necessary for people to watch and know. But the production is terrible. This is not a movie. This is reality. It does not need quick cuts and flash. It needs to be stark and honest. No emotion in the readings. Just reading the information. And please don't focus on waterboarding. It is one of many horrible tortures that we used. And we still use these other tortures (solitary confinement, sensory deprivation, force-feeding, sleep deprivation).

  • Excellent comment. Thank you. - What's so often neglected in these discussions is that it is the cumulative effects of these techniques that is so harmful.

  • Never again. Never.

  • A people who allow torture are soon the victims of torture.

  • Amen. Not in the name of my country again!

    Just plain WRONG!

  • no cutting off heads is bad, but torturing does not make it unbad

  • Don't be stuped! She speak good an eveethang...

Hahaha, yeah seriously wtf is she doing there hahaha.

  • But in all seriousness, torture is torture. It is not a valid or effective tool in getting the truth, only information that you want to be true.

  • If it is not torture, use in the regular police force...

  • When due process fails us, we really do live in a world of terror.

  • Last time I checked we weren't torturing anyone since our new President was inaugurated.. At least that is what we are told. But do we really know???

    A little late aren't we??

  • Lets convict Nancy Polosi!

  • Obama isn't stopping it!

  • You idiots better start doing a bit of research and quit following these actors and celebs .maybe another attack will open your eyes.!They chop the heads off of our people and you say nothing about that .Stand up and become Americans again .

  • Shut up kid you are 18, you know nothing. Torture doesn't work, it's been constantly proven throughout history. What you are talking about is revenge by act of torturing/killing, tell your republican daddy and mommy that.

  • Grrrrrrrr easy dumbass .first of all i am not 18 yrs old .i have two questions for you .first :What does age have anything to do with it and second :Why dont you explain to everyone what you would do to handle the terrorist with out torture.Let me guess you would go talk to them.please let us know asap i cant wait .

  • Whats to say Obama doesn't label you as a terrorist for being so pro american and then it's your turn for torture . That my friend is Tyranny thats why these guys need to be busted.

  • Come on, americans.

    Take your country back!

    Good luck.

  • I'm glad we waterboarded them so you can all be alive and have your free speech. What about that poor guy they cut his head off video. And you think they don't torture us when they capture POW's. Stop being candy asses!

  • I totally agree with this I mean. The people that jumped out of the windows at the World trade center.. Hey that was their choice right?? We one he other hand captured these peace loving folks on the battle field and then "humiliated them" and made them stand for hours and slapped them!! Wow aren't we bad? How many more attacks have happened since then on AMerican Soil?? Oh yeah none..

Liberalism on paper is beautiful however, in the real world where the terrorists live, it will never work

  • No. Torture is shown to produce lies so the victim could stop being tortured. If we torture, we are just as bad as them.

  • 9/11 has not been confirmed to be a terrorist attack. the govt spent 100 million investigating clinton, 4 million investigation 9/11. we did more than humiliate them. stress positions are brutal. imagine hands shackeld to feet chained to the floor. how long can you deal w/ that? try it for 8 hours. torture is disgusting, now the war criminals/profiteers bush and cheney have lowered us to their standards.

  • why don you protest against Islamics, terrorists, communists and all the other scum, you assholes?!

  • Sure, it's terrible, but if it makes terrible people give us valuable information, then what's wrong with it?

  • Our ability to define 'terrible people' is the flaw in your premise.

  • 1. its wrong

    2. its unnecessary

    3. it creates more problems then it solves

(terrorist will be using this as a recruitment tool for years to come)

    4. its goddam wrong

  • you said wrong twice, once with a swear word.

  • cant be said enough/too much

  • Yes, let us all say no to torture in every form it exists. Nice video, 5 stars.

  • Thank God for President Obama. I hear they are going after Rove now

  • thank god for obama??? lol.

  • Comment removed

  • Rosie is so cool.

  • While I agree that dubya trounced the constitution on many occasions, I couldn't give a f%$K less what celebrities think. This ad is crap! It makes no argument other than celebrities think this is bad so you should too. Of course, if it's intended for the brainless masses, well then, BRAVO!!!!... /sarcasm

  • Who ever had a hand in these torture fit the definition of a terrorist-

    1. (noun) terrorism, act of terrorism, terrorist act

the calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimidation or coercion or instilling fear

  • Hey has anyone seen my... oh wait... never mind... I just found it. Sorry guys, go about your business.

  • Please tell all that you can! We MUCH prefer that terrorists not have to touch icky little bugs because you're family members are not worth terrorists feelings! Am I on the same planet as these people!?

  • This must have been before Obama. There's no way the smokes in this video would be on it now.

  • Now the actors are deffending the terrorists???? What about the torture of those people who died in the Twin towers???? were is the justice in that???

  • U speak of terrorists? All independent research proves 9-11 was an inside job u moron. U speak of the people who died in the twin towers but u fail to realize the over 1 millions deaths in Iraq and millions of displaced Iraqis and Afgan whos lives have been destroyed because of that false flag on that faithful day. I ask u lebihus00 where is the justice in the invasion of Iraq when its a fact Saddam Hussein didn't have weapons of mass destruction? WHERE IS UR LOGICAL REASONING? U SORRY FOOL!

  • there wasnt any. does torturing terriost bring justice to them? 2 wrongs does not make a right

  • OH, thank you celebrities for your opinions. Who gives a damn about you reading cue cards. Poor poor terrorists, such victims of horror. A bug in a confined space is hell on earth. FUCK YOU AND THE TERRORISTS

  • The only terrorists I see are the regimes forcing innocent people to admit to crimes they never commited by way of torture. Do some research on the victims of racism, fascism, patsy schemes and out right lunacy who have been convited of crimes they never commited(guantanamo detainees). Do some research on who put togther 9-1. A man once said "will never win the war on terror because it an internal war." "You see, we are the terrorists" -Rockefeller

  • You are twisted freak.

  • we are at war.....they attacked us.......get over it.

  • Seeing Philip Glass and Noah Emmerich in this video seriously makes me want to watch The Truman Show.

"Think about it Truman. If everybody's in on it......then I'd have to be in on it too. I'm not in on it. There is no in."

  • i bet any of our beheaded soilders would have loved to have the option of the "US version of torture" compared to what our enemys do. This world is far from perfect!!! were not quite at the hold hands and sing songs part yet! fuck liberals...

  • its not perfect so lets make it worse. logic of a conservative

  • No lets just sit at home and continue to see news stories of muslim attacks against the world. Dont attack them though cause 2 wrongs dont make a right.!

  • dude, youre posting on youtoube, its about the same. and shouldnt we attack the right people? we are in iraq over oil. torturing is wrong. doesnt matter who is doing it or what the reason. no we are lowered to their standards because of cowardly people like you who think attacking the helpless is some sign of masculiniuty

  • Maybe your soldiers never should have attacked a country illegally; they have the right to defend themselves. It's their culture and tradition to behead. If you dont want to be beheaded stay out, simple isnt it!

  • Its also in their culture to try to kill as many non muslims as possible.... yeah we should let them continue their cultural practices because its their culture wtf?! They practice their culture world wide... But no one should "illegally" try to take the fight to their soil, they should have a safe haven there where they can continue to plot against the world. And its cool that most of thier population (all the women for sure) are treated like less than animals. Let them have their culture!

  • What do you know about Islamic culture besides what your lazy ass watchs on t.v.? You been to the Middle East? You know the whole history of the Middle East? I am a muslim woman, I live in Egypt, I have a degree in Business, My husband is a Doctor MD. I am also an Iraq 100% disabled Amercan Veteran. I am treated with more respect than you. Stay out of the Middle East and stop starting wars. We dont want you, and dont need what you call democracy.

  • @zeeab Amen sister, you speak for the deep of you heart. GOD will listen to you, i wish the same freedom for all my Africans people who are still suffering because of the westerns greedy society. About democracy, only in the papers in western culture they confuse fascism with democracy. Westerns societies are more fascists than any other. Look the numbers they have so far in wars, from slavery till today the same perpetrators. Sad but is true.

  • You're a complete tool.

  • LOL bunch of fail liberals torture ownbs and we continue to use it get use to it weaklings

  • torturing someone who cannot defend themselves is not a sign of strength

  • yes it is

  • no, it is a sign of cowardness.

  • no its not

  • you argue like a child. to take advantage of someone who cannot defend themselves is cowerdly. I guess you beat up the hanicap and old ladies. youre a real tuff guy

  • I'd like to be in Rosie Perez's box for 18 hours

  • They're right. Hatred for this country will only grow for as long as we fail to hold the purveyors of torture accountable under the law. Those who think it's only being done to terrorists need to wake the hell up, turn off that propaganda box in their living room and do some serious homework. The stories of innocent victims are everywhere. And regardless, any seasoned interrogator who isn't bought and paid for will tell you that torture DOES NOT produce reliable information.

    Justice. NOW.

  • are you saying 2 wrongs makes a right? If something is wrong dont do it, dont support it. it really is that simple

  • John McCain understood these methods were torture and that torture is wrong morally and demoralizes our own troops.

  • Powerfully rendered video. I hope that this goes viral as its message is important and relevant.

I agree with the statement here and hope to see those responsible prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

  • Thanks Obama, for turning those young people who supported you into cynics.

My fondest wish it that this comes back to bite you, and those who REALLY made you President, in the ass.

and that rather than become disenchanted entirely with politics (as your real backers would wish) that they REDOUBLE their efforts in the future, resulting in the levers of power being snatched away from BOTH wholly compromised political Parties.

  • like bush snatched away our 4th ammendment. I can remember when profiting from war was a bad thing

  • "Why the hell shouldn't we be allowed to torture our country's enemies?"

Because the US has agreed under international law that torture is a war crime. Nor was it some wet leftie who did this. Ronald Reagan signed up to the UN Anti-Torture Treaty and, when he did so, he made this treaty part of US law.

  • Perhaps because we put Japanese soldiers to death for waterboarding and other similar crimes after WW2. It is hypocritical. Beyond that torture is not tough let alone a show of strength. It is a cowardly and despicable business that has been proven to be unreliable and counterproductive. Furthermore if the U.S. continues to torture and some other country captures our soldiers or citizens and does it to them then what ground do we have to condemn them?

  • the same reason we should not use land mines, wrong is wrong.

  • If you torture someone into confessing, they will confess to anything. If I tortured you, you would confess to being a gay nazi who wears woman's underwear while masturbating over Bill Clinton videos... and a terrorist too. While you're at it, what do you think we should do with terrorists like you?

  • And how about all these health care terrorist?

  • does this also apply to the 12 year old who was snatched in a post invasion sweep because one of his countrymen was more interested in the bounty he brought than bearing false witness? That 12 year old is now 19. Is he one of "America's enemies?"

  • Comment removed

  • its so funny because waterboarding looks and seems much less distressing than it actually is.

  • Unless you're on the receiving end, surrounded by people who may 'accidentally' go too far. Then it's as terrifying as it's intended.

  • Not to mention all the ones who had nothing to do with it.

  • That you have no evidence were among those detainees who received "harsh interrogation".

  • Wouldn't you have to actually catch those people first? You could start with bin Laden? Idiot.

  • Capn, oh you're not aware we've captured hundreds of alqaeda members including 9/11 planner Khalid Sheikh Muhammed, Abu Zubaydah, and Ramzi bin Al Sheibh, the only member of the Hamburg cell that didn't make it into the country and become one of the pilots? Read a newspaper every once in a while idiot.

  • HOW DO YOU KNOW? Confession? You don't get it, do you?

  • Yes, confession, overwhelming evidence, known as members of the group before 9/11, proudly admitted it in court this year when KSM and others were on trial--from MSNBC, 9/11 Defendants: 'We're Terrorists to the Bone' 3/10/2009--- "The charges, which carry a potential death sentence, 'are badges of honor, which we carry with pride,' they write." "Your intelligence apparatus, with all its abilities ... failed to discover our military attack plans before the blessed 11 September operation"

  • RuflessRecords, most of the people involved in the attacks were in Saudi Arabia. 15 of the 19, I believe.

So you're wrong there. And we went into the wrong country.

Also, I like how you didn't mention waterboarding.

  • Moose, a) good to see OBL duped another American with his deliberate choosing of Saudis to guard the non-Saudi pilots on 9/11. Alqaeda isn't majority Saudi, and never was. b) we didn't go to the wrong country, Alqaeda was based in Afghanistan, not Saudi Arabia, and we went to Afghanistan c) yeah, well I like that you want to focus solely on that, though it was done to 3 leaders only, for the reason that the other "torture" charges are so laughable. Ooo stress positions for bloodthirsty goons

  • Rufless: "Saudi Arabia acknowledged for the first time that 15 of the Sept. 11 suicide hijackers were Saudi citizens, but said Wednesday that the oil-rich kingdom bears no responsibility for their actions.

Previously, Saudi Arabia had said the citizenship of 15 of the 19 hijackers was in doubt despite U.S. insistence they were Saudis."

    Who was "duped", exactly?

Right, so if I rob three banks, I've committed no crime.

    Good chatting with you.

  • You were duped, as I stated, but apparently you couldn't understand, because Alqaeda isn't and never was majority Saudi. OBL, who is Saudi, picked 15 hijackers from Saudi Arabia to guard the expert terrorist non-Saudi pilots from the Hamburg Alqaeda cell, because he hates the rulers of Saudi Arabia and the US, and especially hates the friendly relations they have with the US. So from his mostly non-Saudi organization, he picked the 9/11 muscle to be all Saudi. It worked! On you.

  • Rufless, On the US government, on the Saudi government, on USA Today and other organizations. And me.

  • I don't understand, you're claiming the US govt thought Saudi Arabia was behind 9/11...then why did we invade Afghanistan.. no they knew Alqaeda was behind 9/11 so we did invade Afghanistan where OBL and Alqaeda was..; the Saudi govt think they're responsible for 9/11? This is the second time your marijuana intake interfered with your ability to comprehend my statements so I'll have to pass on further debate with you.

  • Rufless, look at my previous comment, where I quoted the USA Today article. Our government insisted the terrorists were from Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabia admitted they were.

I'm just saying, just because we invaded Afghanistan soon after the 9/11 attacks, does not mean 9/11 was the reason. I don't know what the reason was. I can only theorize. But it was wrong to invade if 9/11 was the reason behind it.

  • You mean Osama bin Laden did this just to fool

MooseOfReason ? Seems like a vast waste of time and resources.

  • and the wizard of oz tax identification number scam and the nsa getting caught covering up US complicity worked on you. Enjoy

  • I love fact that nothing was said about beheading, But Daniel Pearlman cant say anything either.

  • SEARCH for RESOLUTION: The torture song....

    Search YouTube.

    RESOLUTION

Then tell Eric Holder to appoint a special prosecutor.

  • Powerful. Off to share it on Facebook....

  • Does Rosie Perez have an awesome rack or what?

  • uh yeah

  • @Jelperman Yes she does!

  • Put it up on my blog with a link to the signup page on ACLU's website. Good video..thanks!

  • Torture is not an effective interrogation technique.

    To quote Reservoir Dogs:

"If you f___ing beat this p___k long enough, he'll tell you he started the g____m Chicago fire, now that don't necessarily make if f___ing so!"

  • Powerful, powerful delivery and message. We will absolutely share this video.
