They're right. Hatred for this country will only grow for as long as we fail to hold the purveyors of torture accountable under the law. Those who think it's only being done to terrorists need to wake the hell up, turn off that propaganda box in their living room and do some serious homework. The stories of innocent victims are everywhere. And regardless, any seasoned interrogator who isn't bought and paid for will tell you that torture DOES NOT produce reliable information.

Because the US has agreed under international law that torture is a war crime. Nor was it some wet leftie who did this. Ronald Reagan signed up to the UN Anti-Torture Treaty and, when he did so, he made this treaty part of US law.

Why the hell shouldn't we be allowed to torture our country's enemies? They would do worse to our soldiers if they capture them. Some people need to get a pair, and stop feeling sorry for the bad guys. Heck, terrorists should die slowly, and the tortures listed are too nice. And for anyone who reads this and gets "offended", I don't care if I sound harsh.

Perhaps because we put Japanese soldiers to death for waterboarding and other similar crimes after WW2. It is hypocritical. Beyond that torture is not tough let alone a show of strength. It is a cowardly and despicable business that has been proven to be unreliable and counterproductive. Furthermore if the U.S. continues to torture and some other country captures our soldiers or citizens and does it to them then what ground do we have to condemn them?

Oliver Stone has made a career out of LYING to the American public. Great care was taken to ensure that none of these techniques rose to the level of torture! Medical personnel were attending all procedures. These Morons are so wrapped up in their irrational hatred of Bush, who kept our nation free from attack for 7 1/2 years, that they would rather take sides with the terrorists who slaughtered innocent Americans. Alqaeda isn't majority Saudi, and never was. b) we didn't go to the wrong country, Alqaeda was based in Afghanistan, not Saudi Arabia, and we went to Afghanistan c) yeah, well I like that you want to focus solely on that, though it was done to 3 leaders only, for the reason that the other "torture" charges are so laughable. OBL, who is Saudi, picked 15 hijackers from Saudi Arabia to guard the expert terrorist non-Saudi pilots from the Hamburg Alqaeda cell, because he hates the rulers of Saudi Arabia and the US, and especially hates the friendly relations they have with the US. So from his mostly non-Saudi organization, he picked the 9/11 muscle to be all Saudi. It worked! On you.

Rufless, look at my previous comment, where I quoted the USA Today article. Our government insisted the terrorists were from Saudi Arabia, and Saudi Arabia admitted they were.
I'm just saying, just because we invaded Afghanistan soon after the 9/11 attacks, does not mean 9/11 was the reason. I don't know what the reason was. I can only theorize. But it was wrong to invade if 9/11 was the reason behind it.
