"Repugnant is a creature who would squander the ability to lift an eye to heaven, conscious of his fleeting time here." How the hell does Maynard come up with this ear candy?!
@Mechstyles Man, that's my favorite Tool lyric ever. I don't know how he does it. He's such an incredible lyricist. This whole band is a gift from God.
5:12 - 7:05 is the best part of the song. fucking epic. i never get tired of listening to this whole cd... the syncopations and off rhythms that they create are out of this world. i close my eyes and get lost in all the different things going on at once. it is a true masterpeice
One of there best songs. I couldn't just pick on of there songs as a favorite. All of there music means so much. Every song describes so much. Tool nation for ever!
I play this on guitar. and the whole time, i just feel at peace.. its amazing what certain Tool songs do, they can make you feel angry, sad, upbeat... but this one... is just so... Calming.. deppressing. I love it.
you dont know every famous musician so you cant make a statement like that, well you can, but it wont be true or be backed up by personal experience. would you say that danny carey has a huge ego? from everything i've seen of the man he seems to be very humble and grounded, incredible considering his talents.
maynard does seem to be cocky sometimes, he also seems to have a deep understanding of spirituality, and more than likely has done alot of conscious work on himself. also, i dont think anyone has a "right' to have a huge ego, no human being is of more inherent value than any other, regardlss of their abilities. ego unchecked is the root cause for most of the problems we see in the world
this is the most masterful song they have produced... it must have taken so long to make and construct, from the harmonic intro through to the full balled face smashing rock out.... fuck me dead this song is intense.

wow, youre zoom and camera are great. and you did exactly what i would have done and focused on danny for the majority...that show was the 1st of 4 i saw that year. tool is unreal....
Man, was that show awesome or what? I think the crowd could have gotten a little more into it, but that's just me. I had maybe 8 or 9 videos of this concert then a week later jumped in a pool with my phone, damnit. Anyways, 6th row floor was awesome! wish i got that drumhead though :(
I had to dumb the quality down quite a bit to get it to upload in the specified size limit that youtube specified i had to have it at to get it to even get on here so the audio may suck just a bit. The original is much better.
What is the cameraman doing? Why does he zoom away from the drummer right at the parts when he's going to move into something more impressive? And why does he go away from the guitarist during the most climactic guitar part? Toward the end, when the guitarist is producing a tone of sheer, literal desperation from the guitar, the filmer just happily backs away. I want to hit him with a brick.
i was the camera man......and if i wanted to zoom in on every fucking detail that i knew was coming i would have but i also wanted to zoom back so i didn't have to watch the performence of this song on a small ass screen and enjoy the show with my own eyes.
If you wanna be nit-picky about this shit go smuggle a camera into a concert and record the parts that mean the most to you.
it would make sense to show danny when he's crushing shit or adam when he's shredding instead of other arbitrary shots. if you're going to record a show, don't half-ass it.
would you watch a movie that showed extras rather than the main character while they were doing something? and isn't the point of concert footage to show to people that either weren't at the concert what the band is like, or people that were there that just want to relive it? by the way, thanks for name calling little boy.
blah blah blah...who cares, the point inevitably of this video is tool. "period", who cares about the dynamics of the video, or the "audience pleasing shot captures"...just enjoy the music!!!
Yeah, besides Bonnaroo this was last time they played Aenima. Maynard said "Well, there you have it." and went into it. Not to make any of you guys jealous, but Aenima was crazy good. They broke the strobe lights. Justin was just stomping the end of this song into the ground. Phenomenal...
man! you missed all of dannys badass fills!!! i cant be too upset, im pretty sure you were the only one w/a camera there. we also got i guess lucky at this show, one of the last times they played aenema live, only other time was bonnaroo i believe, but could be wrong
I thank you for this. This is probably the best Right In Two video I can find. Thanks for posting your address on TT, or I would've never thought to look for this.
thanks for uploading this, can some one redirect me to a tool show calendar, I really need to see this band live
thanks in advance

caseysull 2 years ago
If you play a little, you can play this, its not hard at all, just long.
The breakdown towards the end is a little frustrating if your not good with chords, other than that.
just an over all fun song to play.
Oh there is also some palm muting.
