I really hope Hoyer lost the election if he was up for election. We need to get these socialist idiots out of office. They are ruining our country with their socialistic ways.
I attended & staffed this event! And I can point out atleast two lies. 1. Alot of people DID pool tickets on BOTH sides of the debate. It is common any time town hall questions are structured in this way. 2. There was actually a 65-35 majority for steny hoyer in attendence at the beginning of the town hall, but they quietly began to leave as they protestors became more rude and unruly. Just because the anti health reform supporters were louder does not mean they were the majority...
I actually agree that the donkey should not have been brought inside as well as all the signs. This is not a protester initiated event. The stated purpose was for the congressman to speak with the audience. A distraction such as signs and donkeys would not have advanced that objective. We may disagree on whether that objective was achieved (or whether it was even attempted), nevertheless, a host has the right to set certain ground rules.
I did NOT say that all Democrats are in line with Obama, I said that NOT all Democrats have gone to protests with signs that compare Bush to Hitler, so you can't shut down every Democrat who criticizes your retarded signs by saying "WELL YOU DID THE SAME THING SO NOW WE'RE EVEN SO THERE!"
I love it how any time anyone criticizes the over-the-top anti-Obama signs and shirts, conservatives instantly bring up anti-Bush signs and shirts, as if that makes it OK. Didn't your Mom teach you two wrongs don't make a right?
And be careful with your generalizations. There are many Democrats who never compared Bush to Hitler, made fun of his name, or took any other cheap shots, ergo we absolutely have the authority to criticize your idiotic "Nobama" shirt.
I was not a fan of George Bush. I know there were vicious pictures and signs concerning George Bush. And what's your concern? That someone wore a shirt that said "Nobama" on it. What a CROCK! Grow up.
The Nobama shirt isn't offensive, just stupid. Signs that show Obama with a Hitler 'stache are offensive, but obviously it's OK for you to have one if you remember seeing someone hold up a similar anti-Bush sign once. This shows that you have principles and scruples and stuff.
Trust me, the only way this chick's comeback would have made a lick of sense if if the lady who criticized her shirt was herself holding a sign that compared Bush to Nazis, but she wasn't so it was a big ol' FAIL.
Actually, if the woman would have said, "I didn't agree with those signs either," that would have been ok. To say that she didn't see them is evasive so that she does not have to actually criticize them. While not conclusive, the preponderance of evidence is that Democrats see Bush bashing as legitimate, while Obama bashing is not.
I think it was a valid point, though not actual proof. Ray from PA

lotsapillarbiter, you're nuts.
You might want to be careful about thinking that all Democrats are in line with Obama. I'm a Democrat, and I can't stand his lying ways.
