  • "Hello There", "Woah" "Hello, Hello there" and the horse runs away. I always loved that part.

  • Nice visit to see this series on Mr. Magoo! Relive my childhood! Thanks! :)

  • Like I said before bad future and in sonic cd Bad Future. So magoo wakes up and now is like some kind a good future. Back in sonic cd there is a good future.

    Present

    past

    bad future

    good future

  • His nearsighted ass saw his own demise pretty clearly, didn't he? May we all be awakwened to our own meaness and change it before it's too late.

  • This was the only version where the Ghost of the past left scrooge the way Dickens wrote it.

  • woop!

  • Pardon the question, but what the Dickens ever happened to quality like this?

  • That's a really good point. The Christmas song that the family sings gives the show a lift it needs at about that point.

  • 4:40 ranks as one of the greatest sound effects in cartoons, along with Speed Racer's car starting or Magoo hitting the substation in his cartoon series.

  • The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come is one of the eeriest things I've ever seen.

  • @praguephotog i dont think it is so eerie i think its cute and a hooded skeleton who is shaking is the

    last thing i would fear

  • Jim Backus gives such a charming performance in this wonderful rendition of A CHRISTMAS CAROL - if only they hadn't reversed the order of the ghosts! I could never figure out why they felt that the cartoon would be dramatically more sound with the Christmas Present ghost coming first. But, if you don't know the original, you don't really care. It's so wonderfully entertaining. And the Jule Styne / Bob Merrill score is an unappreciated gem.

  • @showtunestarpower wow!i've been watching this since the sixties and never realized the ghosts were out of order! i guess it really didn't matter to me. my favorite version of the story.

  • @showtunestarpower -- i think that they made the ghost switch in order to introduce the Crachetts earlier on in the film in order to to balance out the song list for what was an animated, but essentially musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol.

  • @showtunestarpower, I kinda agree 100% THIS SPECIAL IS THE BEST!

    MR. MAGOO IS AWESOME!
