I really like Kircheis, he's the only one in the Empire who can beat Yang. Sad to see him die this early. In hindsight though, Kircheis simply had to die. At least he died as a loyal friend. Also feel bad for Annerose. She knew Kircheis loves her and I bet she loves him dearly.

確かにセキュリティが大甘ですね^^;　警報が鳴ったまま現場から帰宅する○警の社員でもここまでは無い­。

この時の警備関係者は解雇か極刑間違いないでしょうね。

しかし作品の性質上『遺体とは言え、かつての主君の内臓を抉り出­し火器を隠したアンスバッハの執念』を評すべきでしょうね。

道義的に考えれば主君の遺体すら暗殺の道具としたアンスバッハの­発想が冷酷かつ狡猾だったと思います。

It's not that I was trying to judge him per se, I just thought he was a bit--bratty?--and didn't want to see their friendship fall apart. I should have known to expect better from this awesome anime though. And you are right, I like Rienhard alot better now that I've almost finished the series. The story is great!

@Asrael12 Indeed. The only thing that can be said is that perhaps female main characters are not as well developed as their male counterparts. I mean, they are more or less all angels without flaws, a little too stereotypical imo; even Katerose von Kreuzer, who starts off as the badass red-head amazon (for me it was love at first sight xD) ends up as Julian's sweetheart. But i guess that's fine after all :p

Is it horrible that I'm relieved Kircheis died this way instead of the two of them ending up on opposite sides? Also, even though I objectively know that Kircheis dying for him doesn't make Rienhard any better or worse a person, I still feel more compassion/sympathy for him now. Weird how that works, huh?

It's sad that Reinhard recognized Oberstein as a viper from the first time he met him, but he still managed to influence him all the same. But at least this shows Reinhard's flaws and lack of experience, and it's better than having a big drama with him and Kircheis fighting like an old couple, which is what I was afraid could happen.

Besides, Kircheis was too creepy and submissive, like he would come at night into Reinhard's quarters in a dog-suit and lick his boots. I'm glad he's gone.
