@chas4551 there is actually an awning for it. I didn't have a spot to set it up in the garage since you have to put stakes in the ground. The awning has velcro sewn around the perimeter so you can have "curtains" made if you prefer to make it private. Hope to make a video on this aspect some time this summer!
The manufacturer does offer LED lights as an option and within a year or so will probably discontinue the old lights altogether. Glad you enjoyed the video.
That is just neater than a skeeter's tweeter! I love it. Now, what you need is a LED lighting system. Add a motorcycle battery and let it charge off the tail light circuit. Add some jacks and adapters for cell phone and maybe a laptop and you're set. Maybe even install a small stereo as well.
@mrmilomannowra - I guess you'd have to give some parameters around really rough weather. I've camped in the Mini Mate in some pretty crappy conditions, i.e. sustained winds, blowing rain, etc., and it stayed dry. It has grommets at the top you can use to anchor it if needed. I haven't felt the need to do that. It'll keep you as warm as any tent will, which is to say you'll want to have the right type of sleeping bag for the conditions you anticipate.
@ezwryder I like this very much, one can save a lot of money to pay for accomodation, and with this one can sleep on the highway rest place, your demo of laying inside, should be opposit, because the stand outside is light and good for the legs.
@puketinho If you use it enough, it would definitely pay for itself. You could be right about how to lay down in the camper. I find it easier to stretch out the other way because I can get in and out easier. My wife would argue that my head is empty, so it does not weigh as much as my feet.
im impressed with this... most Motorcycle trailers only offer gear storage or a tent.. i have never seen one that is both a tent and yet you can haul gear in it as well...... i want one. =)
How much does the whole thing weigh?
Deadeyedavid177 2 days ago
@Deadeyedavid177 The Mini Mate weighs 265 lbs.

Hi Jason - you could probably pull it. I would wonder how you are fixed
for brakes. You'd want to have enough stopping power to keep it under
control, especially on the downside of the Alps!
ezwryder 4 days ago
I live in the Alps and wonder if my 750 could pull this up mountains??

Can it be pulled by a Bicycle?
geekthinker 6 days ago
@geekthinker a little too heavy for a bike, I think. Unless you're pulling it in Florida.
ezwryder 4 days ago
@ezwryder Florida? huh?
geekthinker 4 days ago
@geekthinker Flat. Very flat.
ezwryder 3 days ago
Well thought out. Nice and simple but needs a separate clip on awning for somewhere to cook out the weather.

could you tow a couple of small kids in that?
Thanks
Boabiegringo 4 months ago
@Boabiegringo it really depends on how foldable the kids are. Some bend easily, others less so. :-)

Im curious, do you think that this can be pulled by a rocketa scooter?
fatburger100 10 months ago 5
@fatburger100 I think that would be too small. I recommend a bike of at least 750 ccs.
