  • people here have no idea what western classical music is... fur elise... is that all.... btw what do you know about alfred newman, john williams or even howard shore... what we make in india are only songs with musical accompaniment... it's also called lieder in german... real music has no lyric and has 100% instrumental orchestration... no words, but express more than what words are capable of...

  • im like a vessel already filled with the music of Ilayaraja... nothing more u can add...

  • @savzee- you could be German. Beethovan is also good. As being Indian, I dont want to compare anybody with Ragadevan. He is living legend who created folks, carnatic, classicals, western. He is living legend! Please respect such a genius. Ilayaraja tunes are all his own tunes even in 21st century. I was cried about 1 day without stopping his music, especially his piece in this video. Again I m not against beethovan. They are totally different characters in musical era.

  • Beethoven's tune makes me smile. But Ilayaraja's one makes me crying and tears on my eyes. Ilayaraja is far better than Beethoven. Ilayaraja is god of music for the whole world who never came out of India...Simple man and living legend of south India!

  • @mlak555 you must be an indian thats why =.=..please!! its always beethoven

  • what a disgrace to beethoven. btw, he has written much greater works than fur elise

  • i dont know abt ds guys...

    may b they r great...

but raja..ilayaraja..he is such bad guy..

till now he never allowed me to listen music from other country.....

  • @TheGuruparthiu

    Awesome comment !!!

  • @madhairsilence

    thanks boss

  • cause he knows you would know he suck

  • i dont know abt ds guys...

  • Ilayaraja gets inspiration for many songs from many great musicians, like from George Bizet's 1897 L'Arlésienne Suite Number 'Carillon' (Allegro moderato) for kalyana raman song and Antonio Ruiz-Pipo's 'Cancione et Danza for Murathu Kalai song and Giorgio Moroder for mouna ragam song.. so many examples are there.

  • @prasanna12445

Ilayaraja got inspired by the Ludwig's original music and created a similar piece.

  • ilayaraja is incomparable

    the god of music

  • which remix is this.. i need this..please.. please..

  • Ilayaraja is better for consistently making 1000s incredible melodies, BGMs and etc but Beethoven's Fur Elize song is unbeatable. Moon light sonata is okay. Rest are not even close to what Ilayaraja achieved. Maestro is better !!

  • @kashsoldier Hi, i am a die hard fan of Raja as well as beethoven. i dont know what are all the compositions of beethoven you have heard of. "Rest are not even close to what Ilayaraja achieved" this comment is literally stupid. Try listening to Symphony No.5, 6 and 9. listen to Hammerklavier sonata, listen to Late string Quartets of beethoven. dont compare beethoven with ilayaraja just after listening to fur elise and moonlight.

  • @pinkpetal3008 ,AbdulRiyaz1984

This theme by illayaraja was actually inspired from the Theme Music by Giorgio Moroder in Flash Dance

  • Both the tunes have the exact feel of humanity..which is just unexplainable..!!

  • Here is a request. Please enable this video for playback on iPod.

It gives a message saying "user has blocked playback on iPod".

    Thanks a lot

  • kural - Thiru valluvar

    isai - Thiru ilaya raja

  • kural - thiru valluvar

    isai - thiru ilaya raja

  • To be honest , I like IR's Mouna Ragam bit more than beethovan ( with due respect to him ) . The tune of Mouna ragam bgm is heart squeezing. It makes me float.

  • After hearing the two piece, Mouna ragam seems like an inspiration from the beethoven's work

  • No one is greater than music...In the end it is music that rules....

  • Art , not the artist ,is important. Good work - Piecing together two great compositions.

  • both are human, non is super human,

  • Yeah Raaja -- wouldnt compare himself with Bach/Beethoven at the same time as comparing with the great Carnatic Gods like DIkshitar --

  • Yes! Raaja would not compare himself with Gods like Bach Beethoven etx.. as much as he wouldnt compare himself with our Carnatic master composers like Dikshitar!

  • It should be taken as copy? or inspiration?!

  • Do not even compare any mortal with Ludwig!...even his jokes were serious compositions that would go into history...

  • ilayaraja is equally good. But bethovan, to compose a something like that so many years before is absolutely fantastic...... both of them are good

  • we have not seen beethoven, mozart, bach, strauss but we are living with the great maestro and god of music till our last breathe. so i solemnize that he is our god of music. saraswathiyin thava puthalvan...

  • Do not compare any mortal to God!..Beethoven is God..

  • our maestro is god's gift to us.ennaku therintha oru isai siddhar endral, avar ilayaraaja

  • @jktheinnocent ungallukku ethanai perai therium isai amaippalargal

  • Fur Elise is a simple melody, yet unbeatable.

  • no one can be compared with Maesto Ilayaraja.. ;)

  • Even Illayaraja would not permit even for a joke to compare him with Beethoven. Request to please change the title from Ilayaraja Vs Beethoven to Ilayaraja & Beethoven

  • @SahajaDwijaha Yes I agree he is incomparable composer in the world and unique too. He is the "god of music "
