just two bridges rotate, its 365 view when they walk about the runway, but Larry's drums didnt turn either at the gig I saw anyways, its an ok show, the claw is massive, but Depeche Mode's gig in Berlin would be hard to beat as would Leonard Cohen in Dublin,
I'm not sure about where everyone else was, but in "the Circle of Trust" in the ring; we were dancing to all the songs and singing our hearts' out. Both nights.
Were we the only non-lame section of the concert?
yeah, for songs from other albums the crowd definitely got into it, but for a lot of new songs everyone seemed... kind of chilled out, not necessarily cold though.
that really sucks. looks like alot of people arent feeling the songs off the new album. its a shame. usually the crowds look like the best part of the show in other footage from past tours. oh well, at least the greatest hits get a pop out of the crowd.
I was at the Chicago Opening night show and it was great! The crowd was pretty good and I guess we were all in awe, it was still intimate but huge! It was pretty tiring in the Queue but once we got in and settled everyone was really good!
im going to the 2nd show in toronto, and for those of you who were at the chicago shows, i would like to know how was the atmosphere? i watched some clips and the crowd seemed cold for some of the songs. did it just take time for the crowd to loosen up, or am i imagining things?
I was there on Sunday, and the crowd was cold for much of the concert. Bono was trying to pump them up, but I didn't feel the energy was there like I've experienced before...
(Still a great concert though - great light show!)
saw them in dublin at croke park, it was great seeing the stage, but the Depeche Mode gig in Berlin was right on the money for me with 120000 hands in the air for neverletmedownagain with Dave out on the runway,
I was in the club (200) level so my perspective was from about 40' up. Your ground level view was spectacular; obviously in the inner circle. Their live shows are unreal. Post more clips if you have them. My camera couldn't handle the sound level. Thanks!
They said if the camera has a lens up to longer than 4 inches than you can't have it in there. Nobody really checked. They were asking people to open purses and backpacks. The person I was with had a purse but was not asked to open it. The concert lasted 2hrs 10 min
that concert rocked..LOVED IT !

Dallas wasn't on his game this night. He gave the Edge the wrong guitar at the beginning of the song.

Guys! Any comments about the view from Plaza?
Does the stage rotate as advertised or just the video panels?

Phizbin - totally agree. The crowd was flat in my section and seemed more interested in U2's greatest hits only...

Were all cameras allowed? I want to take mine. I would think that everyone went through metal detectors. How long did the concert last?

Cool, thanks. I hope all that stays the same by the time they get into Dallas next month.
q2alphadog 2 years ago
No problem. My understanding is that all these rules are set by the venue - not the tour people, so it's different everywhere.

Metal Detectors? ...wink.....
I live in Suburban Chicago, and worked the event. Been home maaaaaybe an hour. Anyway great show.
