I've taken accutane twice! that's how bad my acne is. It's just soo aggressive. Let me tell you I regret taking it a second time. I had bad joint pains because of it and one of the irritating side effects is dry skin all over the body. Other things are headaches, and feeling sluggish but my skin was clear perfectly clear for about one year. Then it came back but that was my experience with it. Everyone reacts differently with accutane but there are side effects.

@Vertias718 Yes many try going to the store and getting some vitamin A supplements off the shelf.Accutane is just a higher dose of vitamin A.But if you take too much it could cause serious health problems.

I think it is a good idea to take vitamins.. I used to have bad break outs.. so I used everything from pro active to dermatologist facials. I must admit, the dr appt helped alot, but I started using Olay Regenerist Srub and my skin appears smoother and the acne if gone
