That is a straight up Isaac Brock/Modest Mouse vocal melody and the guitar riffs.... Pavement, no question about it, and that's not a bad thing at all, This is a bad ass song and band.

When I first heard this song, within the first five seconds I thought Modest Mouse too. If your going to imitate someone, it might as well be someone great.
