They both have spiritual wives (multiple divorces & marriages) teachings where 'god' tells them to commit adultery & worse. I was in cult in the pacific northwest under a guy who was basically a skinhead cowboy. His name is bob M. (robert) taylor. He has met God, likely not in a good way but nontheless, a cult. Coerced to do things like tithe unwillingly so he could buy mansions, $30,000 dollar motorcycles, wound up with a filthy bigomist adultrous too, etc.. At a point I had to flush everything. We dont see any examples of this type of behavior in scripture so I am wondering why you overlook such heresies? I did at one time but I was deceived & didnt obey the commands of the bible. At least Candayo & many others saw the deception & repented, whereas Doug has not & continues to preach heresies. Never do we see any example in the bible condoning such behavior as Doug's; we do see we are to correct, rebuke & warn others of such abominations that he teaches.
Well said, God will heal you and restore you. FOTM is a CULT , a PENTECULT. Why do people even need to run after "Doug" and his "revelations from God", that no one can verify or confirm, when there is enough already written in the word of God to follow and learn. @MayonR Apparently you missed the part where this is the testimony of me, my wife & my daughter. We would all give the same testimony in a court of law and before God. Doug cannot & will not say the same thing = that tells you something.

First of all, I appreciate your humility and sincerity. With regard to false teaching -- it's so deceptive because it's always a mixture of truth and error. Satan is too clever to entice people with pure evil. It's always a mixture of good AND evil. Adam and Eve took of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And this present evil world is built upon that foundation. False religion always has some some truth mixed in with the errors and the lies. That's what makes it appealing.
I am currently engaged in a message post dialogue with fotm1. It is plain to see that scripture has little to do with personal agenda in the VERY brief encounter I am having. I want to tell you that "recognizing a tree by the fruit that it bears" is one of my most cherished passages. It took tremendous courage for you to humble yourself in this manner and I am sure YHWH is very pleased. Always know that our creator will provide the necassary wisdom if only we will ask.

yes there is some truth to what he says, but the fruit and teaching is WAY off base.
All I know is that adultery, bigamy, stealing are not things God tells us to do. Scripture says that God does not tell us to sin. False teachers will always steer away from the black & white of God's word and try to go "gray".

Well fact remains I did not "test everything" as scripture commanded. However even tho I sinned, God in His mercy & love rescued me & my family. He gets all the glory.
As for seeking a priest, I do not need to because scripture says "confess your sins to God" & if I "confess my sins HE is faithful & just and will forgive us..."

Matt 18 is when a brother sins against you personally, its different than exposing false teaching which is to be done in public.

Those who bear much fruit into the world for the glory of God, know and follow His Son Jesus as Messiah - the true Shepherd of the flock. Hirlings are frauds who lead the flock away and abandon the flock when an enemy approaches. The Lord has been making me much more aware of the wolves today in the world, seeking those they can devour. It started with researching IHOP.
True Christians should be weary of the teachings of FOTM and the International House of Prayer. They have some beliefs that lead into occultism and contain similar deceptions as the false revival at Lakeland.
I was not affected directly by this because I'm too new here, but I can say it takes a faithful and godly man to repent publicly as you have.God is faithful to correct His children when they go astray,praise Him!
God bless you. Only through the power of Christ are we able to ask for forgiveness. I believe that God will always bring his elect back to the flock. He will use this for his glory. I will pray for them that they repent. False teachers tend to have pockets of truth.

May the Lord heal you brother. I was deceived by DP also but it was before things got really weird. Please pray and ask God if you need any deliverance from any spirits that DP may have passed on to you with the laying on of hands. I encourage anyone coming out of FOTM to do the same because he has some of the spirits from the Kansas City Revival even though he teaches against this, he doesn't know he is passing them on. It takes awhile to heal, but God is merciful.

I never knew who this person was until I saw one of his videos on the Lakeland Revival.
Personally I am in support of whats going on, and have seen the fruit of the revival. This guy was totally bashing it without any room for air. Most of the things he was saying were incorrect sadly. That struck in my spirit.
if u listen again. u'll c he wasnt totally bashing the lakeland movement. he was jus warning us that dont go chase after lakeland or todd bently. he specifically said it is move of god and that miracles are from god. he is jus saying that as believers we could be lost if we go chasing solely for miracle/ manifestations without having heart to chase after god first.

I won't be so quick to believe any allegations against them because the Bible also says in one of the books of wisdom that if hear a rumor ASK the person it's about before you just believe it! It may not be true, it may be partially true, or they may admit and repent. Either way, you need to seek both sides before you just condemn someone! Read the response letters from FOTM on their website. It does clarify things.

All I know is that adultery is wrong in the Old Testament, the New Testament and today. To teach that multiple "spiritual marriages" of Doug & Chris will get all believers on earth over some spiritual hurdle is not in bible. Nor do we see any teaching of any person being a prophet for the U.S. Or Jesus telling anyone to spiritually kill.

God has used this, to make you stronger. It's good to know that you still love those, despite their faults and falsity. True love, is helping others be the best they can be in Christ, and to keep them from straying to the devil's broad road.
Exposing someone's teachings, is a way of showing love, to keep others from straying as well. So, this shouldn't be viewed as hate, but as love to see others freed from deception.
These vids are not made out of hate or malice, but as a warning to everyone involved. Only God can change a person's heart, so keep everyone in prayer.

A very humble apology. I appreciate it on that account! I never got into this group because God gave me to see that they were dividing the Body of Christ and proud. I'm so glad that there is a unified voice here rising on youtube exposing these people to the light, and that we are all united in rejecting these false teachings! Pray for Doug because the Spirit wants to work through him and he is going through a tough time, especially with this strong rejection of his teachings by his brothers.
I am curious to hear your examples of the things that are wrong and especially the Scriptural arguments Steve. And I am curious how Doug (or Chris) will respond to that with Scripture. After all: that is the basis we can hold on to. (I will send you a PM).

The difference between your dismissal of "false teachings" and my affirmation of them is that I will appeal to Scripture. I hope you don't appeal to your subjective opinion.: Have you ever dealt honestly with John 6:37-44, Eph. 1:4-5, 11, Romans 8:28-29, shall I provide more? Doug dismisses them too, by saying "that isn't what they mean." If you take that route, please don't wonder why I consider your "refute" to be less than credible to say the least.

The Good News is, "Love your enemies, do good to those who persecute you...Judge not lest you yourself be judged." The Gospel of Jesus is not one of hatred and revenge, but one of radical love and repentance and forgiveness. We all screw up from time to time. It is great you were able to see the light and turn back!!!

(This is CajunPunk) I saw this coming from a mile away almost a year ago, and I deleted my account because I wanted nothing more to do with the YokeUps, Doug Perrys, Chris Evans', etc. of YouTube who consistently drag Christ's name through the mud with false teaching, lies, unethical and unscriptural stances, and/or hate.
You might get trashed like I did for speaking publicly against false teaching, but do what the Lord puts on your heart and confirm it with scripture to be sure.
Hi Hetgow. I have not purposefully looked into FOTM deeply, but I have found some teachings there that I had already come to believe before ever hearing of FOTM. I am always hesitant to throw the baby out with the bathwater, so I will definitely need to look further into their teachings and see what God has to say about them to me.
Steve, Thanks for your humble apology I was involved as a moderator on fotm and left about 3 months ago. I was blinded for a time by the web of deceit. I ask everyone that I influenced to forgive me. I am learning to live in God's love and thankful that God does not "whack" us all the time. I am thankful that you and Clare have seen the truth and I pray others will soon. I didn't know what to think when I saw these video against FOTM. I wasn't sure that the people speaking against him were valid witnesses. Your word is as solid as a rock with me, and I thank you for your honesty. Don't be too hard on yourself, people piggy back lies with truth all the time, and we are 'sheep' after all, my prayers go out to everyone involved, praise God, for the light, for the truth, and for people like you. We shouldn't let this happening be a defeat, but a victory for Christ.
Please remember that our standard is God's word, also a thing is not verified true unless there are 2 or more witness, and we are to test everything and that requires us looking at fruit.

They both have spiritual wives (multiple divorces & marriages) teachings where 'god' tells them to commit adultery & worse. I was in cult in the pacific northwest under a guy who was basically a skinhead cowboy. His name is bob M. (robert) taylor. He has met God, likely not in a good way but nontheless, a cult. I go over things step-by-step to try to show him what I believe is correct. In the end, I believe 100% that he is walking with Jesus Christ. He was corrected for hypocrisy -- the sin Jesus hated most of all in Gal 2. I guess he followed ''another Jesus''. My brother, if we were truly spiritual, we would be interceding on behalf of Doug; not bashing. If *I* can test Doug's teachings anyone else should be able to, and decide for themselves what they believe. Why do people even need to run after "Doug" and his "revelations from God", that no one can verify or confirm, when there is enough already written in the word of God to follow and learn. First of all, I appreciate your humility and sincerity. With regard to false teaching -- it's so deceptive because it's always a mixture of truth and error. Satan is too clever to entice people with pure evil. It's always a mixture of good AND evil. Adam and Eve took of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. And this present evil world is built upon that foundation. False religion always has some some truth mixed in with the errors and the lies. That's what makes it appealing.

I am currently engaged in a message post dialogue with fotm1. It is plain to see that scripture has little to do with personal agenda in the VERY brief encounter I am having. I want to tell you that "recognizing a tree by the fruit that it bears" is one of my most cherished passages. It took tremendous courage for you to humble yourself in this manner and I am sure YHWH is very pleased. Always know that our creator will provide the necassary wisdom if only we will ask.

yes there is some truth to what he says, but the fruit and teaching is WAY off base.
All I know is that adultery, bigamy, stealing are not things God tells us to do. Scripture says that God does not tell us to sin. False teachers will always steer away from the black & white of God's word and try to go "gray".
Of course that is how the enemy works - getting of the absolutes of God and His word, and into situational ethics (sin is ok in certain situations).

Doug Perry (fotm1) claims god told him to leave his family, divorce is wife, not pay child support and go marry another women who is still married to another man = huge red flags!
There is a big difference in stumbling in our walk time to time with God vs outright continual sexual sins & worse and claiming god told him to do it.

Well fact remains I did not "test everything" as scripture commanded. However even tho I sinned, God in His mercy & love rescued me & my family. He gets all the glory.
As for seeking a priest, I do not need to because scripture says "confess your sins to God" & if I "confess my sins HE is faithful & just and will forgive us..."
I am forgiven but I still needed to ask forgiveness to everyone & point out the false teaching of Doug Perry (fotm1) and Chris Evans (rancherforchrist).

Matt 18 is when a brother sins against you personally, its different than exposing false teaching which is to be done in public.

May the Lord heal you brother. I was deceived by DP also but it was before things got really weird. Please pray and ask God if you need any deliverance from any spirits that DP may have passed on to you with the laying on of hands. I encourage anyone coming out of FOTM to do the same because he has some of the spirits from the Kansas City Revival even though he teaches against this, he doesn't know he is passing them on. It takes awhile to heal, but God is merciful.

Personally I am in support of whats going on, and have seen the fruit of the revival. This guy was totally bashing it without any room for air. Most of the things he was saying were incorrect sadly. That struck in my spirit.

1st, the multiple spiritual marriage teaching started w/ Doug & its against scripture.
2nd, Chris (he is part of fotm) confessed to me & my family he was married & divorced 3 times in one yr (adultery) & teaches same as Doug.
3rd, according to scripture we r to expose false teaching publically, when they ignore rebuke, so others will NOT burn in hell.

I won't be so quick to believe any allegations against them because the Bible also says in one of the books of wisdom that if hear a rumor ASK the person it's about before you just believe it! It may not be true, it may be partially true, or they may admit and repent. Either way, you need to seek both sides before you just condemn someone! Read the response letters from FOTM on their website. It does clarify things.

All I know is that adultery is wrong in the Old Testament, the New Testament and today. To teach that multiple "spiritual marriages" of Doug & Chris will get all believers on earth over some spiritual hurdle is not in bible. Nor do we see any teaching of any person being a prophet for the U.S. Or Jesus telling anyone to spiritually kill.
Those are different messages.
The word of God is our standard, not other books.

I remember one of the 1st video's I ever watched was a sermon jam you made with Paul Washer. It was such a blessing. When I saw you getting so into FOTM I got very scared for you. Praise to God that your out. A christian will admit error and repent. You sir have.

Dear Steve,
God has used this, to make you stronger. It's good to know that you still love those, despite their faults and falsity. True love, is helping others be the best they can be in Christ, and to keep them from straying to the devil's broad road.
Exposing someone's teachings, is a way of showing love, to keep others from straying as well. So, this shouldn't be viewed as hate, but as love to see others freed from deception.

I met D Perry when I was shopping in his store (before he drove the business into the ground) and it was pretty obvious to me and my husband from the start that he was promoting false teachings. A very humble apology. I appreciate it on that account! I never got into this group because God gave me to see that they were dividing the Body of Christ and proud. I'm so glad that there is a unified voice here rising on youtube exposing these people to the light, and that we are all united in rejecting these false teachings! Pray for Doug because the Spirit wants to work through him and he is going through a tough time, especially with this strong rejection of his teachings by his brothers.

The difference between your dismissal of "false teachings" and my affirmation of them is that I will appeal to Scripture. I hope you don't appeal to your subjective opinion.: Have you ever dealt honestly with John 6:37-44, Eph. 1:4-5, 11, Romans 8:28-29, shall I provide more? Doug dismisses them too, by saying "that isn't what they mean." If you take that route, please don't wonder why I consider your "refute" to be less than credible to say the least.

It's a shame that you commandeered the comment section on this by making your pejorative statement about something that has nothing to do with the content of this video. God Bless Steve. I am not familiar with FOTM but does sound like bad news, not Good News. The Good News is, "Love your enemies, do good to those who persecute you...Judge not lest you yourself be judged." The Gospel of Jesus is not one of hatred and revenge, but one of radical love and repentance and forgiveness. We all screw up from time to time. (This is CajunPunk) I saw this coming from a mile away almost a year ago, and I deleted my account because I wanted nothing more to do with the YokeUps, Doug Perrys, Chris Evans', etc. of YouTube who consistently drag Christ's name through the mud with false teaching, lies, unethical and unscriptural stances, and/or hate.
You might get trashed like I did for speaking publicly against false teaching, but do what the Lord puts on your heart and confirm it with scripture to be sure.

Hi Hetgow. I have not purposefully looked into FOTM deeply, but I have found some teachings there that I had already come to believe before ever hearing of FOTM. I am always hesitant to throw the baby out with the bathwater, so I will definitely need to look further into their teachings and see what God has to say about them to me.

I didn't know what to think when I saw these video against FOTM. I wasn't sure that the people speaking against him were valid witnesses. Your word is as solid as a rock with me, and I thank you for your honesty. Don't be too hard on yourself, people piggy back lies with truth all the time, and we are 'sheep' after all, my prayers go out to everyone involved, praise God, for the light, for the truth, and for people like you. We shouldn't let this happening be a defeat, but a victory for Christ.
