Watch this again without the sound in the background and ask yourself if you conveyed a fear of a **relationship** (I would go anywhere but there) and if you conveyed the idea that the singer is **asking** to dance, to make a terrible mistake, touch her breasts, make love to her etc. I think he is ASKING CAN I touch you, etc. Just a thought, I watched it without sound.

Yes. I had a lot of trouble with the chorus, and I do feel like I ended up kind of "giving up" on finding a better way to convey that concept. If anyone wants to share how they would have interpreted "I would go anywhere but there," pleeeease do! I would definitely appreciate some input on that.

But yes, thank you for the comment, I agree with you that some of this was pretty unclear.

@TheLisaMonster, there are lots of different choices you could make, but I would go for one that involves these concepts: "relationship," "fall in love," "risk ..."

"I would go anywhere but there," Banerika version, just because you asked:

Relationship? (eyebrows raised, pause) negative head shake, face indicating "Nu-uh!" with hands doing that "No way" motion, where they cross in front.
