No one's making excuses for pedophiles. The recidivism rate amongst pedophiles is very high. You cannot rehabilitate them. They should be locked away.

Fact is, no one becomes a pedophile because they watch porn. If that was true, you'd have hundreds of millions of them.

Alcoholism is genetic. Yes, they are prone to addictive behaviors. They start drinking because they have the genetic defect. Who said anything differently?

That's specious reasoning. Of course not every person who looks at porn isn't going to become and addict and every addict is not going to become a pedophile. The point being made is that pornography is dangerous especially when preexisting factors or tendencies are involved. Also, it can have drastic affects on the minds of children. The younger the more damaging. It's obvious there's no convincing you, so there is no further reason for further debate. You are obviously a patron of pornography-

but be careful. Studies have shown that the longer you subject yourself to these images, the more your mind becomes accustomed to them. Its like a drug; you need a higher dose over time to get the same high. Pretty soon, the images wont be enough and fantasies of action begin to materialize and then one day, well, who knows where youll go from there. Good luck with all that.

Spank Wad: Too much of anything is a bad thing. Parents have a responsibility to keep their children away from porn. No one is going to raise your child for you. Either monitor what they are doing or don't have a computer in the house.

Anyone who commits any act because a movie, music, or video game tells them to is obviously not all there. No one can be held responsible for faulty brain wiring. Many don't find out about their addictive personality until after they start using a drug. Then, it's too late to prevent addictive tendencies. Once an addict, you are always in recovery. You are never cured. No one intends to become an addict. Being an addict is not all fun and games.
