  • These people need to be a bit more gentler when it comes down to picking them up because they are still babies and are very fragile. So cute though!

  • stop drinking coffee before you shoot a video

  • did you record this with a toaster

  • aww there cutee :)

  • adorable

  • aww how cute<3<3

  • @atworkguy You're getting ripped off if you're paying 40 bucks to eat something the size of your hand. Eating guinea pigs is fucked up and retarded.

  • @wajalama Excuse me but eating guinea pig is normal here in Peru. Besides how much do you think it costs to eat in French restaurants?

  • @akasunas It's still stupid. Seriously, how many would you need to eat to fill you up, hmm? They're better off as pets.

  • wow calm down i agree with both sides here u can pick it up in a few hours of life but it does need time with its own mother 2

  • your from Wales !! lol ... so cute, just got two piggies they're adorable :)

  • horrible camera......

  • THIS IS NOT ABUSE! GUINEA PIGS ARE NOT LIKE HAMSTERS! IF YOU HOLD THEM WHEN THEY ARE BORN THEY WONT BE SO AFRAID OF HUMANS! lol

  • i doubt those kids are mature enough to handle guinea pigs that young...

  • the simple fact is (having not read most comments) you shouldn't hold a baby Guinea pig for about a week as there is risk the parent will kill, and eat, the baby should it smell of human

  • @GinjaNinja1990 only hamsters do that! lol a hamster owner trying to put facts on a guinea pig video!

  • @Lulucupcake252

    That makes sense actually

  • @HiveMistress i know

  • @GinjaNinja1990

Never happened with any my mother's kept for 12 years & I've never read it in any book

  • @GinjaNinja1990

No they won't. Never red that & none of mine ever do that cos they are used to my scent. I think regular handling on the mother generally, helps.

  • @guydie5 i was thinking that 2. lol

  • They are not stupid. I had baby guineas and they are fine being held that young. The books say not to but it is fine. I had guinea pigs my whole life. so people chill out.

  • 1. Hold the camera still. "Pan" rather than "jerk" when changing the view.

    2. Use a higher resolution.

    3. Use more cowbell.

  • you shoudent do that but at lest it was 8 hours not 2 any ways hope you like your ginipigs :)

  • Please dont call the young kids stupid! I mean I dont care if they like threw them around and crap but They are cute & they held them properly. It was just a slight and calm kiss, you act like they killed the babie.. You all are just bored and you NEED to just find SOMETHING WRONG with every video...

  • @mewecody123 no

we had over 30 gunea pigs over a time space of around 7 years

we had 1 boy 1 girl at first the girl gave birth to 7 babies the 2nd mum had 4 & so on there were more boys than there were girls when we stopped buying guinea pigs

  • Those guinea pigs are probably FINE. I'm so sick of people calling ANIMAL ABUSE!!! on every pet video. It's ridiculous. Unless you see someone striking an animal or holding it underwater or something like that don't claim to know everything about the situation! Everyone needs to realize the great majority of pet owners are not experts and probably don't always do EVERYTHING perfectly. The same can probably be said for our own children but we don't go calling everyone bad parents! Just lay off!

  • @Sleyah Well said.

  • @Sleyah Uhh... they're 8 hours old. Not exactly animal abuse, but you seriously shouldn't pick them up because of the risk.

  • @Sleyah Just because a person isn't striking the animal does not mean that they're inadvertently harming it. It would be stupid to not point it out something that they aren't aware of rather than let them continue hurting the animal.

  • @brw147 That's not what my problem is. My problem is people calling it "abuse" when the owner is clearly not doing it on purpose, or calling them "stupid" for not handling the animal perfectly. Yeah, I get what the issue is, I raised guinea pigs myself for several years. But just going by this video nobody can claim anything harmful happened to those guinea pigs as a result of handling.

  • @Sleyah ikr!! every fuckin video! they act like they know everything!

  • @Sleyah i dont think it is abuse until you kill them for no reason like murder

  • @Sleyah What if someone's holding a fish underwater?

  • would you sell them?

  • there so cute

  • Very cute, but leave them alone for the first 3 days.

  • U R SO STUPID DO WUT ALL THE PEOPLE R TELLING U IN THE COOMMMENNTS!!!!!

    1. THERE 2 YOUNG 2 BE HELD AND 2 WEAK 8 HOURS OLD!?!?!

    2. CANT U SEE THERE SCARED!!!!!!

3.DONT KISS HTEM NEAR THERE EARS IT BOTHERS THEM

    4.DO THEY live outside??!?!?!

    5.ur so loud!!!

also they shouldnt be in the sun it kills them even adult guinea pigs why am i even commenting this came out 3 years ago in ur care they probably died 2 1\2 years ago!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • When my 2 guinea pigs gave birth...we had 4 baby pigs...all of which were quite happy to be picked up hours after birth :) We were very carefull and gentle with them :) Mind you one of our babies was fighting with her mum at 2 days old sending her 8 month old mum running away crying XD

  • your not supposed to pick a baby guinea up till there AT LEAST 3 days old.

  • My guinea pig gave birth to 10 babies last week, but only 7 of them survived :/

  • @TheOstrichGods hey thats pretty good. a piggy normally only gives birth to 4. 10 is a lot of babies and most of them made it. dont feel bad.

  • @TheOstrichGods My guienea pig gave birth to 8 and every one survived and then one of them had babies and she died and we sold them and they are like 5 of them now

  • they shouldnt be in the sun :/

  • when half of these people comment they complain when they just could watch something else ?!?!

  • @cole003f Some people are so fucking stupid. There's something seriously wrong with them. Those people didn't even speak english! Dumb asses.

  • @tinyjenny77 They shouldn't have picked them up yet, but the fact that they don't speak English has nothing to do with it. Dumb arrogant ass holes

  • @abbeyelizabeth94 um actually guinea pigs are one of the few rodents that don't eat their babies if they are picked up...just fyi.....the rodents that do eat their babies are gerbils, hamsters, mice, rats etc. Cavies however are not on the list.

  • @123iluvoranges Guinea pigs are not rodents; they are cavies.

  • @beckyboston

    But cavies are rodents... D:

  • @FlyingScribJelly I used to think they were rodents but apparently they're a different group all together. It has to do with their teeth.

  • @beckyboston

Hmm, are you sure you're not thinking of the Lagomorphs? I know the rabbits got kicked out of the rodent family at some point because of the tooth difference and herbivorous diet. Unless cavies have been reclassified recently, last time I checked they were in the rodent family. Don't guinea pigs have two incisors each on top and bottom? I believe that's what classifies rodents as far as teeth go.

  • @FlyingScribJelly Nope, I know rabbits are lagomorphs and mice, rats, etc. are rodents, but cavies are neither. I discovered this when my g-pig Benny was sick and I took him to the vet's (he's fine now, BTW) and they classified him on the forms as a cavy, not a rodent. When I had pet mice and brought them to the vet, they were classified as rodents.

  • @tinyjenny77 You arrogant dick. Go hate somewhere else.

  • mine should be giving birth soon

  • lucky i wish mine would hav babies but they're both grlz

  • @bob123123wtf no

after the mum gave birth to the 10 babies we gave 4 of them to my uncle & all the boys after that before we stoppd gettin them we would get them nuterd

  • @bob123123wtf at 1 time we've had bout 13

    3 adults 2 boys 1 girl 10 babies

from the time my family startd gettin them to the time we stoppd it was over 30

  • plz dont pick them up ;(

  • GUINEA PIGS ARE GOOD EATS.

  • true

  • U GUYS STINK

  • Did you record this with a blender?

  • aww im planing to have baby guinea pigs soon as soon as i figure out how to pot videos i can show you mine yours are much cuter

  • I CANT NAKE OUT ANYTHING! please on ur next viedo get a better camera i mean its a BLIRY

  • ei ur comment is not true even if you carry the new born baby , the mother will still nurse it.....i hav 27 guinea pigs here and 35 guinea pigs in philippines....i carry my past new born guinea pups but the mother still nurse them...

  • i think you can old the guinea pig after 6 hours but be xure to handle them with fully care i carried my 6 hours guinea pig but i'm fully carefull and they know how to run already...i dont know how did they learn how to run after 6 hours??unlike my old guinea pig babies they learn how to walk after 1 day.......

  • they're so tiny!!!! x3333

  • great grammer genius

  • congrats but ur not sapost to hold them yet.mine had 4 also 2 boys and 2 girls

  • my guinea pig let me hold them as we helped her give birth!

  • They need Quiet especially this short after the Birth.

  • guinea pigs aren't toys, especially young ones ._. You should be more careful and calm while playing with them..

  • My piggies just gave birth today! they're soo sweet :)

  • u sick siyco

  • people if you think a guinnea pig givin birth to 4 babies is somthing try walkin upto the guinnea pig cage & watchin 11 new babies runnin about

  • Awweeee theyre so cuteee

  • you people are pretty damn stupid

your NOT supposed to pick up guinnea that r 8 hours old cos of how weak they are

you can only start handlin guinnea pigs when ther a 2-3 days old

& i know that cos i have had over 30 guinnea pigs

  • youtube vets are out in force again...

  • Yeah, well we had 30 guinea pigs, so nerrr ! up urs yeah ! :)

  • ive had OVER 30 guinnea pigs so fuck you loser

  • OMG !!! How do U handle over 30 guinea pigs ! I can barely handle 1 !

  • we didn have 30 guinnea pigs at 1 time

thats hoe many we've had from when we 1st started gettin guinnea pigs to wen we stoppd

the most we lookd after at 1 time was 14

    3 adults & 11 new born babies

  • for me i think the carry the baby but just carry the baby with fully carefull.....i had 27 guinea pigs here and 35 guinea pigs in the philippines.....

  • @cole003f omg ur soooooo lucky i have 2.......girls

  • @cole003f holy shit!

  • @cole003f had???

  • @TheCodmw2rocks because i was only around 6 when my parents 1st started buying guinnea pigs they wanted ther kids to hav a pet n we had guinnea pigs but we dont buy them anymore

  • @cole003f yeah i guess your right, even tho i would want to, i wouldnt cuz, well u know when a cat has kittens hw the mother eats them when u touch them before they r ready? well maybe guinea pigs do that (sorry if im not right its cuz i never had a pigget before but im getting one after x-max :) _ )

  • @cole003f i hate people tht have animals and dny know how 2 take care of them so thx 4 sayin wat u said

  • @cole003f You don't made yourself sound very smart, so I don't get how you expect people to take you seriously. Learn to type. Also, we found our baby guinea pig after probably 18 hours [she was born at night] and we held her, and she was fine. She's still fine.

  • @cole003f And weirdly, someone can also keep 30 Guineapigs in a single day or more, and for someone whom've kept well, 30 pigs, and can't spell "Guinea"? Babies can certainly be picked up once they're born and cleaned well enough by their mum.

  • @Yanglicious you cant pick them up straight away because otherwise the mother eats the babies

because its a new smell the mother has to get used to the scent

& i havnt kept 30 at once from the time i 1st had them to the time my parents stopped buying them we've had over 30

  • @cole003f I'm sorry, but Guineapig mommas NEVER eat their pigs. I picked up mine just fine and I don't even see any of them being kicked out by their mum, let alone get eaten.

  • @cole003f

as soon as my guinea pig had her babys i picked them up and she was fine with them she pushed them towards me so i could hold them so i guess not...

  • @cole003f Yeah right, I've 4 accidental litters and if they do so, all 13 of them would've died already.

  • @cole003f you had over 9000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @karlDKemil over 30 assclown

  • @cole003f

Don't worry, my mother has been breeding guinea pigs for 12 years & has very carefully picked up day old ones.

  • @HiveMistress well then she's an idiot

the mother guinea pig needs a few days to get used to the smell with your mum picking up day old 1's the scent from your mum is a completely new smell to the mother guinea pig

  • @cole003f

All ours have been fine & she's not an idiot. The mother will have known the babies from birth & they know my mother's scent. She cuddles them regularly so they get used to her. We generally leave them for a couple of days anyway. I do understand that children should wait though, I do agree with that as excited children can be risky

  • mine is one month old

  • if a guinea pig is new born how many hours will it take until it will be like 2 hours old and if the baby is 8 hours old is that the ending will it be like 9 YEARS old???Or example your guinea pig is eight hours old how many hours left would it take to be nine hours old cause i'm thinking of getting a guinea pig.....but i don't know how many years or weeks would it take to grow into an adult please reply please.

  • An adult? Takes about 3 mths, i think.

  • its so small, it looks like a hamster..

  • SWEET!

  • so cute

  • check out my guniea pig video lol

  • take good care of em too :)

  • mine died last friday,so painful

  • SSSTTTAAAYYYY STILL

  • haha

  • ur right

  • well if the camara would stay still for 2 seconds.......

  • dont touch thme

  • it's okay to touch them

  • i didnt know you could touch them right after they are born

  • the mother just gets gets annonyed depending if you stick around while she's pregenant or if you old them too long i think

  • where is the babys mom!! they have to stay with their mom fer 5 to 10 weeks!!

  • she's in he cage i was about to ask that to but if you watch the beginning of the vid again who can see her very quickly

  • better camerawork plz

  • uhm it doesnt even look 8 hours old !!! it looks like its 2 weeks old

  • hehhehehe theres heads r so cute and big! i love dem! mines like 11 weeks old i think? : )

  • OMG dont touch them the mother will reject them! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!

  • i agree with you the mother wont want them no more

  • to vickythelizard... I had two baby guinea pigs born in my house, and the mother did not reject them after they were touched. Baby guinea pigs do need their mother for nursing and guidance, but they aren't as helpless as newborn mice or rats or rabbits. They are born with everything an adult has. Unlike other rodents, they are already developed. My newborns only nursed for a few days then started eating solid food. One of the many amazing things about cavies!

  • you can touch guinea pigs are much different than other rodents in other words their mom won't reject if you touch them, nothing bad will happen

  • im sitting with my guinea pig right now

  • you really shouldn't be handling the babies when their that young, and even after at least a day, you should be handling them as little as possible.

  • are not supposed to get baby guinea until the next day

  • guinea pigs are born with fur? Really? thats crazyness

  • its like your kissing the thing s in side the moms body sens e they were born 8 hours ago

ps my guinea pig had 4 to and then my other guinea pig had tree and plus the father i have ten hahahhaha

    ps mine r better

  • Are you special?

  • don't kiss them you will get your germs on them. well any way they are so cute

  • Hey, what's the bedding you used? Is it very absorbable coz I hate using shavings coz' it gets messy somethmes.

  • your not aloud to use paper shaving with ink on them. it has to be plain paper shavings. im not sure how, but at points, the ink might run or something. my loacal pet shop told me but i wasnt listening completely.

  • you can use shredded paper with ink, as long as the ink is soy based.

  • My guinea pig poo's and pee's A LOT after feeding him. is that normal for him to poo/pee A LOOT.when i say a lot its like 1 every 5 minutes haha

  • Omg don't listen to those people who say you cannot hold them... the mother will NOT reget them! It is okay!

  • yeah that's cats right

  • You shouldn't hold guinea pigs when they are only 8 hours old. ADORABLE THOUGH! <3

  • My guinea pig gave birth today to two amazingly cute guinea pigs which are black and white like their mother and have some brown spots from thier father.

  • I just discovered that my guinea pig is pregnant and i expect her to give birth any day now i hope my guinea pig's babies are as cute as tose ones.

  • Unfortunately guinea pigs have been known to eat their babies, but it has nothing to do with you picking them up too early. And I don't trust anything a pet store says as far as care for your animals, I adopted a GP from a pet store that told me the GP was a mama, I took their word, imagine my surprise when I found out it was a male. Mama, not likely LOL Didn't matter to me though, I love him anyways.

  • Why would a herbivore, like a guinea pig, eat thier own young, i know they eat remnants of the placenta but no the youngs themselves.

  • they don't eat their own baby's, where did you get that from?? rubbish.

  • probably because hamsters do it. People always get guinea pigs confused with hamsters, it's so annoying.

  • Careful they are only babies dont snatch and throw them about! Also yout piggies are in danger with that sun on there cage as they can get sunburnt yes they can especially new b

    baby skin.

  • um thats hamsters lol guinea pigs dont eat their babies ever! coz they are too big :D

  • So small and cute

  • whoa! what up with the camera????

  • .. No they don't.. Tsk..

  • you shouldnt take them yet you must wait some days...

  • that camras messed up!

  • no they dont Ive 37 piggies and Ive not had one eat their young. and I handle them as soon as their born.... your thinking of rabbits . they destroy their young if touched. i help mum clean them up if im about when their born.

  • really!??!?!??!?!? thats sooooooooo sad!!!!

  • next time get a fuking better camera

  • you can pick them up at a few hours old after mummy has fed and cleaned them, i find this best because they become more friendlier

  • What the crap are you talkin about dude?

  • Don't you know anything? You're supposed to leave them alone for the first 24 hours. ):<

  • Dont You Know anything ?You can pick them up as soon as the mum has cleaned them and fed them and stuff, probably about 5hours old. And they ones are 8 :)

I should know both of mine have given birth (well one) so i did lots of reaserch
