Pip said it All. "It may not happen that way". I always wondered why MJ couldn't just subcontracted Pip for 30+mil a year (MJ could afford) discreetly. MJ clearly was a go to play w/pip for as long as it takes. The thing these two guys missed was in the mutual negotiations with money. @boysgothops Thank you. Shaq was a dominator on offense when they won the three titles, Scottie didn't score that much but Pip and MJ could shut down a whole team in defense. Great athletes, great defenders, great help defenders. Probably the best two outside defenders ever, i'd put a young version of Dennis Rodman in the same category. He was great with the Pistons.

The great part about these two is the mutual respect for one another. You don't see that anymore these days. Talk about great duo's- Payton and Kemp, Shaq & Penny, Shaq & Kobe, Shaq & Wade- non of them had the mutual respect that mj and pippen had for each other. Only David Robinson for Tim Duncan, maybe, and even them, Robinson was clearly on his way out. But these two, MJ & Scottie both hit the top of their games at the same time, and still maintained respect. THAT's GREATNESS
