@jasopan @themonkeybuttster It's the backing guitar, then at any given time it's usually just another 2 guitars added in. At most I heard 3. How he did the reverse parts are just playing along with the track and reversing what you wanted after it's been recorded. Or you can flip the whole track, record on it, and flip it back. If you are adding a lot of guitars they all start getting mucked together, so it's best just to keep things simple. Very little production is in this song.

@jkjkjkish john uses analog tape most of the time...starting at 0:27 its a reverse guitar youre hearing...flip the tape over record some guitar flip it back and listen youll hear the notes before theyre picked or strummed.
