Well we disagree on the music I see. I played Oblivion a lot and just got tired of Jeremy's music after a while(though he IS my favorite gaming composer). I love his work in KotOR and guild wars. Don't know why you'd dislike the one in the video though, I think it fits great with the many calm and beautiful areas in the game.

512 ram and oblivion was running in average 20 fps [a little crappy]

now my new computer is :athlon x2 4800+

1 gb ram [i didnt have enough money to buy a vga so i use the on board vga nvidia 6150 256 mb shared] and oblivion runs even crapier than it ran on my old computer!

Oh don't get a 6200, it barely keeps up.Try for an 8-series card.With a 8500 for example you should have no probs with Oblivion:)

BenevolentEvan, spend too little on an AGP card and you'll end up lowering resolution/detail just to keep frames up. That is unless you only want to play older games.

The 6200 is not considered a gamer's card by today's standards. For more info I recommend 'Tom's Hardware Guide', which tested the best AGP cards. They are slightly over-priced as well, compared to PCI-E.

Also make sure your PSU can cope with the extra load.

Its surprising to see you got as good a frame rate you did, with the visual quality as well. i very recently upgraded from a 6200tc to an xfx 8600gt, and haven't looked back.

The 6200 has defenitly met the end of its useful life, I for one am done toning down the effects details in games(for a while anyway;)

andrenogueira775, a game like Oblivion requires both a fast CPU and graphics card. Run it on a fast CPU and relatively slow GPU and it will be like watching a slideshow. The memory capacity on the 6200 is largely irrelevant as well..ever with 512MB the game would still be slow due to the card's design.
