i got the same video card and 1.4g of memory but oblivion crashes every 10-30 mins , idk if its a driver problem or internal one but what driver are u using to play this?
Well we disagree on the music I see. I played Oblivion a lot and just got tired of Jeremy's music after a while(though he IS my favorite gaming composer). I love his work in KotOR and guild wars. Don't know why you'd dislike the one in the video though, I think it fits great with the many calm and beautiful areas in the game.
I've got a Vaio with 1 Gig RAM, and a Geforce 6200 video card and I can't get this to run without it crashing every time I get into a battle. Someone let me know if there's a mod or something to let me run this game please!
I tried Oldblivion and it says that my version of Oblivion isn't compatible. I've got the Game of the Year addition with the two expansions with it. Anyone else know how to do this without upgrading my RAM to 2 Gig or getting a better video card?
get ram and another VGA maybe 6600 gt or 6800 if u cant afford another vga,but 6600 gt is old so stick to a 6800,but if u have dineros maybe u can upgrade higher :D :P
512 ram and oblivion was running in average 20 fps [a little crappy]
now my new computer is :athlon x2 4800+
1 gb ram [i didnt have enough money to buy a vga so i use the on board vga nvidia 6150 256 mb shared] and oblivion runs even crapier than it ran on my old computer!
hey im planning on getting the AGP version but, what r the requirements? is it just a 4X/8X agp slot and 350watt psu? i hav a crappy computer (dell optiplex gx270) and i was wondering if this card would work...
And when you are a dumbass, you need basic schooling just to spell "you" and use such little words like "a" in a sentence to get it correct. You keep hitting your games up 18 hours a day man. I'll keep getting pussy and finish university and do worthwhile shit.
Your cpu and ram are perfect for it.And seeing how the card runs well crysis and ut3 I don't think Oblivion will be crappy. But better try how it runs first before u buy it,download it from somewhere or sth:)
I'm getting a nvidia 6200 later this week. I have a 2.0GHz AMD Sempron 3000+ and 2g RAMs. Will this be able to run games like Oblivion at your settings?
Well, I don't really plan on buying a new mobo or a new PC that supports that, since I mostly stick to playing games on teh 360 anyways, and don't have the cash to just throw away on that shizz. I'm just looking for a decent/cheap graphics card upgrade.
I have a 6200 it runs fine on low. But don't settle for less, I'm broke so I had to, buy the 8 series or at least 7, modern games would not run on anything lower than 6800.
BenevolentEvan, spend too little on an AGP card and you'll end up lowering resolution/detail just to keep frames up. That is unless you only want to play older games.
The 6200 is not considered a gamer's card by today's standards. For more info I recommend 'Tom's Hardware Guide', which tested the best AGP cards. They are slightly over-priced as well, compared to PCI-E.
Also make sure your PSU can cope with the extra load.
Its surprising to see you got as good a frame rate you did, with the visual quality as well. i very recently upgraded from a 6200tc to an xfx 8600gt, and haven't looked back.
The 6200 has defenitly met the end of its useful life, I for one am done toning down the effects details in games(for a while anyway;)
I think the buildings in the first part should not look like modern polution affected the stone work. All that grimy black stuff didn't exist back then.
dude,we know that,we ignored the other things because of the main topic-Oblivion on 6200.Graphics cards are what's mostly talked about around this game. Thanks though:)
andrenogueira775, a game like Oblivion requires both a fast CPU and graphics card. Run it on a fast CPU and relatively slow GPU and it will be like watching a slideshow. The memory capacity on the 6200 is largely irrelevant as well..ever with 512MB the game would still be slow due to the card's design.
I have a 6200 Turbo cache, it kinda drains my ram (hence the turbo cache) but i'm hoping to get an nvidia 7900 GTX which should own my current card by about 500 MB xD.
I'm getting the EVGA one, with 512MB Vram, hopefully it'll run it okay.
