This was quite an undertaking and quite HOT on that parastyle. I'm on the middle tier on the left about 2-3 from the inside end. Still have the uniform and participants medalion, pin and music that we used. John Williams conducted us bottom center. We had 98 trumpeters and 10 timp players. Quite a sound.
I live this piece so much. Played it on trombone when I was in the orchestra in college. I was only 12 at the time i first saw this in tv at the time and was looking for the performance at the actual olympics opening ceremony in 1984. Thanks for posting this.
