Me dijeron: "Con razón!"
I watched this show every day as a kid. I am now a 48 year old man. I still remember the song. It's funny, I live near the company that builds the buggy racers. These buggy racers are early Argos.
here in brqazil the bananas split show in 1978 to 1984 I think......I was born in 1979, but I remeber of this show.....coool a lot.....sorry my english I.m fuckin drunk.....
I tried once to explain this show to a friend of mine who'd never seen it...Didn't go so well I think he probably still thinks I'm on drugs. thankfully I found this so i can finally show him.
Banana Splits....lol ... I was a true a fan what an awesome video. I think that Jackass group took their show. what happened to the old good days ...keep that soul ...love it
For the first season, some of the live-action segments (specifically those used during the musical segments) were shot at Six Flags Over Texas, an amusement park located in Arlington, Texas. For the second season, filming took place at the Coney Island amusement park, located in eastern Cincinnati, Ohio.
they should have just kept re runing this year on year...I saw it mid 70s...just brill ! poor kids of modern world..what rubbish they get :( or they stuck to their mobiles doing texts- or no face book....they will all be social retards
A real blast from the past. Used to rush home from school friday to be sure I saw the banana splits show. Loved Drooper's battles with the trash can and they still have me roflmao! Thanks for posting
I believe it was filmed at the old Coney Island amusement park in Cincinnati. Not to be confused with the nearby Kings Island in Mason, Ohio or Coney Island in New York of course.
I always thought that the Banana was based on the Monkees. Hanna Barbara frequently based their shows on another reference (Flinstones based Jackie Gleason's Honeymooners).
According to the always-reliable wikipedia, there was a 2008 Banana Splits show.
I seem to remember an animated Banana Splits show, that followed the "live action" one. I can't find any evidence that this isn't a figment of my imagination.
BUENISIMO!!!

I wanted to pull on Fleagels tongue so bad, and just get one 'howdy' out of snorkle, but noooo, he kept his trunk shut.

The TV was on Teletoon Retro for background noise but this clip caught my attention, from 2:15 to 4:38
I never heard of this show before, so I had to google this clip. I bet those guys were so wasted while filming that scene... lol

The countless bands who've modeled their behavior on this original Furry 4 is greatly under appreciated.

That may have been the 1972 spin-off "THE BANANA SPLITS IN HOCUS POCUS PARK", that was mostly animated, with some "live action" Splits footage.
