The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux" distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

I love the way you visualize that your distros have no idea nor consensus on what the graphic interface should work like, and how guidelines should be drawn. This is also true for the idiocy of a gazillion different package distribution models that all do the same thing equally confusing and complex. I'm a unix pro and I have seen that Linux missed the desktop bus 5 years ago. It's just for embedded.

@mearsy09 Yes to the COD and other "heavy duty" games, no to ms office; instead you get something called open office which is pretty much the same thing, and yes you can run it without lag. Also linux doesn't get viruses!

Linux can get viruses, there are viruses out there just for Linux -- there just isn't as many... and those that are created for Linux are much more powerful than those for Windows.

As for the "heavy duty" games thing.. using WINE or another WINE based emulator, they can run yes, But you won't in anyway get the flawless gameplay as you would in Windows.

Lolz. I don't really give a shit either way about GNU/Linux vs Linux as the OS name, but yes, you do (pretty much). GNU made all the core utilities. They made GRUB, they made cp, they made ls, they made gcc... GNU describes the *nix-like environment you work on. It's the pipes, the filesystem layout, etc. Not to mention that without GNU, there would be no Linux.

Make your case on either side of the name debate - like I said, I don't give a crap - but give GNU credit where it's due. They rock.

Next time he should try to think about some white sheets for a background, I'd say. And use additional lamp to light it evenly. Another lamp covered with sheet could be used as an ambient. And better cropping would be a good addition. Finally slightly (but only slightly) better singing. Lirics are offensive and to rock doesn't mean to be rude.
