Dude, well done. Very well done. As a fellow reenactor I salute your efforts. I've always wanted to learn the bugle, but you probably play it better then I ever will. :P
Nice dude, nice! I just bought a bugle and would like to be able just to get some different notes out of it, haven´t been doing a great job at it so far :s How do you do it? Blow harder or something with your lips or something? Thanks!
I have ancestors who fought in every war in this Nation and not one, but "two" forefathers who fought in General George Washington's Army. One on my Maternal side: named "Utter", written on his headstone, and one on our Paternal side: named "Johnson". I am so proud to see our wonderful traditions carried on by such a fine person, such as yourself. God protect you and keep you healthy all throughout your dear life. I wish there were more like you.
I have different style bugle, it's more of a cavalry style (smaller and, I think a little lower) where can I get some good help with it? P.S. I have until July to get it down packed, I now some calls and cane play it very well, but I still need a little help.
im a trumpet player and when i try to play a bugle it only plays the notes that an open valved trumpet wuld play such as low c, mid g, mid c, high g, high e, high c, etc. how to i play the notes in between

@Kokkie024 Yes, you have to tighten your lips and blow harder to get the higher notes. You can loosen your lips to play lower notes.

jalen77232 3 months ago
@jalen77232 You could buy a book on how to play the bugle. Then go from there. Or you can just watch other simple vidoes on here (YouTube) and learn.

@koolmoedee95 Those are the only notes that a bugle can play.

@Toccoa101506 I often hear bugle songs playing a bunch of diff notes
koolmoedee95 1 year ago
@koolmoedee95 Thats because they can either play higher or lower notes OR they are not playing the bugle.
