  • @TSOAS2008 Who does all of the actual translating?

  • @MishimaYukio17 Me and Yoshie. Yoshie puts it into straight english. Then we sit down togethere and go through each sentence one by one. She tells me the exact connotations of what they are getting across and i pick out the best phrase/word etc in english. Then i cross check it with other manuals and insert all footnotes and introductions etc.

  • @TSOAS2008 a lengthy process but worthwhile. Nice one!

  • @MishimaYukio17 cheers. We are on teh Bansen at teh moment, its a ball ache, me and yoshie are nearly fighting its so long and hard (in a energy sence)

  • notice how that sword isn't straight.

  • @chucknorrispranks i would hope so, there is no such thing as a ninja sword as far as i understand. This manyual is from 1650, i think you are confused. The first appearnce of any conection to a straight sword and ninjutsu is the mid 1960s. Best you watch the videos i have done, then you will understand.

  • @TSOAS2008 no I've seen your videos as well as dean and buffon's better videos, in addition to you and some others bickering on dean's facebook over it.

  • @chucknorrispranks Oh really, i would never have guessed, so may i ask why you comented on a straight sword, how come you did not understand the concept behind the video? If you like i can explain it here if i was not clear online.

  • @TSOAS2008 but what are your thoughts on the hattori genealogy discussion I brought up pertaining to whether oni hanzo was hattori masanari or hattori masashige?

  • @chucknorrispranks i have no thoughts on it, i stick to the norm. But that is not the topic here, Hattori is well documented. If you have something that goes against history please compile your data and present it. So to continue, the reshaoed and straigh sword appears but it is not conected to the ninja till the mid 1950's. So do you have a theory? Can you please post all evidence as well instead of plain theory, i would like you to back up your points. Ok, talk tomorrow. Bed time.

  • @TSOAS2008 no, I'm not saying Hattori Oni Hanzo didn't exist, I know he's a well documented and perfectly historically valid figure. I'm sticking with the norm as much as you are. I'm saying these things:

Hattori Hanzo Yasunaga has been presented as the father of a son who was nicknamed Oni Hanzo ____.

Hattori Yasunaga gave birth to a son named Hattori Masanari. Hattori Hanzo Masanari has been presented as being Oni Hanzo.

However, Hattori Hanzo Masashige has also been presented as Oni Hanzo.

  • @chucknorrispranks so, as this is obviously an unnecessarily ambiguous subject the way it's been presented to me in both the english and japanese sources I've come across, I'm asking you:

Who was Hattori Oni Hanzo? Was it Hattori Masanari or was it Hattori Masashige? Do you not know? Because both have been presented as such.

  • you mean the first hanzo, not the first hattori. The first hattori was Kami Hattori Heitaro Yasunori, son of Iga Henaizaemon no Jo Ienaga, founder of Iga Ryu.

  • @chucknorrispranks wow where did you get that info? we have never seen the words Hattori Ryu. and i mean the father of Devil Hanzo.

  • @TSOAS2008 I didnt' say hattori ryu either. as far as the father/son hattori thing, Okuse Heishichiro, Kacem Zoughari and Wolfgang Ettiq have all been really ambiguous as to whether Oni Hanzo was Hattori Masanari or Hattori Masashige.

According to these three sources, the father of Oni Hanzo was Hattori Yasunaga, and Yasunaga's son was Hattori Masanari, but many have said that Hattori Masashige was Oni Hanzo. It's all really circular and ambiguous.

  • @chucknorrispranks i have never heard of this, i will try and take a look.

  • Very interesting, As far as im aware the Gunpo Jiyo shu consists of 12 volumes , which volumes have you translated? Was it taken from the orriginal or from the modern translation. I know the Iga museum has 5 volumes but my impression was they were missing the 'ninjutsu' volumes just interested what the primary source was as I was aware the modern version was available on Amazon Japan. I have on of the 'ninjutsu volumes' from a print in 1774

  • @stevegreenfield we spoke to a research group who used the original to get a now out of print modern version and with their help and thei book we got it all. Would love to see your print if you will let us. But yes, it is all three scrolls.

  • @TSOAS2008 there is a modern version on amazon japan , at least there was a few weeks ago for about $60.

  • @stevegreenfield yes they knock around, i got mine for the same price.

  • This is another book if your that I want.

  • @SaiTurtlesninjaNX there are so many i want too!

  • With the thing about the frogs croaking, and imitating them...I heard something similar about carrying a cricket in a small cage.

  • nice video bro i will have get this book soon as i can

  • out on amazon? Well, but not available in Germany, even not by amazon.com

I am still waiting on the Shoninki...

  • @SteffenReichel Can you not go to the US Amazon and order it?

  • @mmacconn069 One can try, but there is no delievery to Germany within Amazon...

  • @SteffenReichel Seriously? Wow, that's crazy :(

  • @SteffenReichel yep you can buy it. just type in ninpiden on amazon.com

  • @SteffenReichel should be up very soon if not now. its out on us and uk

  • @TSOAS2008 Yes, it's out. This is all I hear, but if I go to Amazon.com (US) or amazon.co.uk I also get shown that is available, but date of delivery is unknown.

Very great... and still waiting for the shoninki! Yes, yes... it's out, it's available, it's there and all those claims... but not in Germany or for customers out of Germany.

  • @SteffenReichel ok, so amazon.com do not deliver to Germany? They deliver to the UK, even if it is Amazon.com, so am i correct in saying that no Amazon site will deliver there?

  • @TSOAS2008

amazon germany does not has it on stock but we can order it now and they will deliver as soon as possible.

  • @murrik just type the tittle in to a serch engine, its ment to be on many sites, over 25,000 one should take pay pal.

  • @TSOAS2008

also i would like to know what yyou think about the legitemicy of Fujita Seiko , if he really was a decendant of real ninja!?

  • @murrik difficult, i do not have enough info, he knew his stuff but his story was shakey, however my big question is why did a man who spent his life saving japanese culture let it die?
