It is him but they are lip synching to the LP track being played, This is not a truly a "live" performance. Keith Forsey was the drummer, but did not appear in this video.
yes they have been loved all over te worldGermny Swededn, even U>S>S.R. I'm so glad i found out more history on youtube.I hadnt heard anything since early 80's.Such a humorous band.I love them and glad to know they reached many!!!
Underated as everyone thought they were a novelty act, but utterly unheard of and totally incomprehensible to Americans (more their loss stuffing Burgers and listening to soft rock crap).
Their early stuff prefigures New Wave and they were the first "rock" act to really embrace synths.
They did influence a lot of British bands, but it goes unnoticed.
Not really, the track finished and then it went on with Patrick Moore waffling on for what seemed like ages. I suppose 12" is a lot of vinyl to fill :-)
This song is one of Sparks best. Despite it being said it was fast heading for the chart (that is the top 40), it only made No.45 in the UK. A great shame.
The big one is a Yamaha CS80. They are very very rare and highly sought after for that sweeping sound. Aurturia do a CS80V softsynth. Can't make out the other cause of poor clarity. It does have Moog controller's on it though.
the unedited version is better and you can really hear Giorgio Moroder's influence on this song

I have always felt the drum break in the middle was super energetic, so it is disappointing to see this guy playing it cool and under stated!
