  • thnx for the advert..but i'd rather stand by the india tugged aside for the fear of being an eyesore..appreciate the idea behind the video, but u've just managed to portray a small bourgeoisie microcosm of the country which is but a mockery of what India actually represents.

    My suggestion to the crew is to pack their bags and travel wider and deeper for it'd help you realize 'contemporary' is not at all a synonym for things western and european which is what this video ends up suggesting.

  • A friend of mine and her parents are from India~ our children went to the same school. A good way to learn about other countries and their people is to make new friends from other countries.

  • i am from alleppey, the place shown in the video! if we dont associate alleppey with venice , then people like you wont take the pain to actually take some interest in the place! no offence! but that is the only intention! once u come here , only then will u understand the true beauty of this country!

Even talking about the "Venice of east" makes me think that a place - to be beautiful - has to be associated with some western town already aknowledged as beautiful, so that a western town becomes the archetype of international beauty. The girl is dressed as a western girl. Cool indian guys taste wine as french or italians, play rugby. Are they saying that they're good because you're as us ? :-( I prefer to see an India proud to be INDIA !! Not Venice.

  • A little doubt... What it seems by this video is that the unknown good India is made by westernized styles and culture. But... If I go to india I want to taste LOCAL indian beverages, foods, Indian way to dress etc. You show me the new good India has the same wearing and the same wine and the same pub and the same hobbies than here. I have the doubt this is a way to ruin India....

  • India's own culture outshines many others. The dross of US and European middle class aspirations infects more and more countries. In Australia we also grow a lot of wine. Wine-growing is water intensive, uses a lot of environmentally bad chemicals. I'd like India to stay like India, not to become like everywhere else. :-)

  • The main point is that India is very diverse. Each state may seem like a new country on it'so (it's that diverse). Morever, within each state too there are huge differences. The gap between the rich and the poor is vast...and here in the U.S you just hear about the poor side not the rich side or not even the rich culuture of the poor. But, good that 'something like this is floating around'. Nice.

  • any mention of the 16,000 farmers asuicided last year because of the ge corn sending them broke ,because they had to borrow money [60 percent intrest] for fertiliser and weedacide/pesticide that the ge needs to grow

    noting in us ge corn is causing breeding problems ,great truths , little known
