  • The art of LIVE PERFORMANCE! Confidence and balls Can you imagine being THERE! Classic HIP HOP Moments

  • one of the greatest... EVER

  • These are the greatest pixels in YouTube history!

  • I love the intro "run..run..run" with JMJ scratching. Classic

  • One punk bitch don't know It's Like That!!

  • When people watched this for the first time, there wasn't a word in the dictionary to properly describe it to others.......

So the word EPIC was invented!

  • This jam, by itself, is better than the last 15 years of Hip-Hop!

  • Give me GOOSEGUMPS everytime I watch it.

  • Whoever disliked this , must have accidentally pushed it

  • now you know in new york we just tawwk

we get get scared and we hiiiide

  • This is the only clip you'll find of the verse they added, but didn't record on the album (third verse)

... LOVE this performance... R.I.P. Jason William Mizell aka JAM-MASTER JAY.

  • This joint still gives me "Goosebumps" whenever I see Run DMC rock a party. I saw the premier of Krush Groove in "The Boogie Down Bronx", Yesterdays Rappers were the truest of Talent, Grand-Master Flash, Run DMC, LL Cool J, Grand Wizard Theodore, Sheila E. They were and still are the greatest. These kiddies in diapers, need to watch our pioneers and learn that you don't need a song laced with profanity to rock a party. (We didn't have to worry about our Rappers in drive by shootings).

  • @sharky442 I never did have to worry about drive-by shootings, most of that was overblown by the media. In reality, gang violence doesn't occur that often. Biggest threat to our safety now is the police state!

  • man I actually met all 3 of these cats at the airport in Trinidad..this was the time when hip hop was born...its like that was the dawn of a new era of conscious hip hop

Run DMC and Grand master flash and the furious 5 paved the way

  • Whoever dislike this song should get hood-stomped to death by some hard-hittin' homeys wearing Adidas...

  • RUN-DMC was THE BEST hip-hop rap group EVER!!!! PERIOD!!! "We slay all suckers that perptrate, and lay down law from state to state!!" CLASSIC!!

  • <3 thiis Moviie ! :D

  • it's weird hearing Rev Run cuss Because now he's a Reverend

  • A REAL MC. MOMENT

  • 2 mcs, a dj and a fuck load of talent. nothing else. no platnum chains, no bling, no pimp cups, no hoodrats, no 30 guy entourage...just raw fucking talent.

  • @jjrey9 So true!

  • 0:00 - 0:19 - best scratch ever :)

  • This was always my favorite scene, had goosebumps. "This is MY MOTHER-F'ING HOUSE!" Saw them at The Spectrum in Philly May '88, recall a long wait in between groups..crowd was getting a little restless - and Public Enemy was before them!

JMJ started off with that scratching intro, crowd went nuts. THOSE we're concerts!

At the time I thought PE put on a better act than RUN-DMC..but trust me, no complaints today...feel damn lucky I saw hip-hop legends.

  • @scrapplecheesesteak saw em at oakland arena fresh fest 84" fucking baddest 2mc's ever!.

  • @mfuji02 Had to be amazing, I remember those "Fresh Fests." The local Philly station Power 99FM would give away tickets all the time, I did win 2 tickets by guessing the number 1 song on a nightly 9pm countdown - BUT wasn't allowed to go, I was "too young" . Just remember the legends..the line up would be a little different each year: Whodini, LL, Schoolly D, Dana Dane, Afrika Bambaataa, RUN DMC, Fat Boys..etc.

  • Thats the waii iit iz Bitches !

  • This is REAL HIP HOP! Not that bullshit that is out today.

  • fuck lil wayne

  • "THIS MY MOTHERFUCKIN HOUSE!!!"

  • Whos house?????

  • Every time I see this shit I get goosebumps yo!! For real "Yo! MTV Raps for ever!!!!!

  • The greatest hip hop scene eva!!!..

  • SHOWMANSHIP

  • Hip-hop at it's purest form. Hip-hop at it's best. Say HELL YEAH if you feel what I'm saying.

  • Now this is a classic! What you know bout this Brick?

  • I still own the cassette tape LP with the same intro to Run's House.

  • i was 12 years old in 1984 when this song came out : )

  • ...just sent this joint to souljabitch...

  • I saw this movie the first day it came out in 85. One thing I can say is that when they did it (RUN D.M.C.), not one did it before them. It was so original. Nowadays, everything is based off of something somebody else did.

  • My Favorite Part Of This Movie

  • EPIC THIS is the reason they are in the Rock -n- Roll Hall of Fame 1984- 1988 RUN- DMC were the first "Hard Rocks" of Hip- Hop every other group just builted off what they did and only Public Enemy came close to their style and passion.

  • If you just watched this scene

    You just got OWNED!

  • maaaaan i love this movie and anything 80's! 1:07 always sends chills up my spine. when the beat comes on you just get this rush! somebody please build a time machine so we can go back to the 80's please!

  • LOL...you've got the most introverted and the most extroverted rapper in the same group. Epic. Apparently DMC was a really shy guy and it threatened to destroy the band early on. Fortunately in the 80s, you could be cool by wearing leather, Adidas and crossing your arms across your chest.

  • very true...DMC wouldn't perform unless he had a case of beer to drink, which eventually took it's toll on em..he was battling alcoholism..

  • best scene ever

  • Still gives me chills......

  • This is the best of old school. It was on TV last week brought back memories. I was 14 years old iLOVE IT GREAT VIDEO

  • IT GET'S NO MORE REAL THAN THIS, DANG.

  • the best hip hop on stage intro EVER also the best rap albulm EVER(run dmc) not WU TANG like alot of people think how the hell you gonna be the best rap group without a dj?? rundmc is the best rap group period..says uzipolo king of decatur

  • whooooos HOUSE????????????

  • It's like that and that's the way it is......love it !!!!

  • Now you know why they made 7.1 Surround Sound

    For moments like dis!

  • i used to rewind this so much the tape broke....

  • yo i remeber dat so well

    cant beat old school

  • Man. Those were the dayzzzz!!

  • Refreshing Hip Hop definetely! Not like those of today.

  • rockin da crowd was what it was all about then!!! I miss the 80's. Run DMC Jam Master J. "Kings of Rock". R.I.P. Jam Master J

  • Wow what a hiphop anthem. This is hiphop's 'We will rock you'

  • THIS IS MY MOTHAFUCKEN HOUSE!

  • this is real rap

  • Yeah! This is the real shit! Incredible!

  • Classic s**t right here. My favorite part in the movie. Brings back memories. They don't make hip-hop music like this no more.

  • no rapper ever commanded the stage like RUN, so much til his lung collapsed at madison square garden

  • mannn they be tearin it up at 1:08 lol i was like yeeeah! haha i love this movie

  • When rap had meaning. Good song!

  • I'll bet that every rapper currently on the charts knows all classic RUN DMC raps by heart! If not for RUN DMC none of them would have careers! These guys paved the way for what is going on today.

  • chillz...im so hyped to be from hollis. this is one of the illest scenes in a movie EVER

  • This was my shit in da day!!! run-dmc da great! rip jmj

  • R.I.P "J"

  • Craziness @ 1:57. The good ole' days.

  • I went to see this at the Adams in Detroit when i was a kid

  • Damn, so on point starting at 1:00, I miss this :(

  • Classic moment in hip-hop!!!

  • DNIblack hit it on the head....man I miss this era.....no one can understand unless you were there.......

    Back in the day......***dreaming***

  • this is the movie, i'm seriously, this was my best clip ever. right after he got mad at his brother....LOL Just love it!

  • I feel sorry for the kids out there that missed this era of hip-hop and think today is the best of times. Even calling it "the Golden Era" of hip-hop is an understatement- it was magical man if you understood and were a part of it when it was fresh out the box. I don't care what any group EVER does from here on out NONE will EVER top the Kings! RUN DMC 4 LIFE!!!

  • you are absolutely right as i am sitting here wit chills....magical

  • Amen!!! I gotta co-sign that statement!!!

  • another cosign , got the chills

  • @dniblack this is hip hop in its purest form

  • U hear how hard Run spit on this shit?!?! The masters!! The originators!! Niggaz gotta learn howda deliver a rhyme with this kinda passion yo..i love it!

  • I must of rewinded this part of the movie at least 100 times. RUN DMC/JMJ FOREVER!

  • i got news for you its been 20yrs and the music still rocks now that is what i am talking about

  • RUN IS THE TRUE DEFINITION OF MC!!!!!

  • RUN DMC and JamMaster Jay = HIP HOP GODS

Fuck 50 cent, Jay-Z, Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G., NO! wait a minute, Notorious B.I.G. was the shit. These guys, RUN DMC represented the Truest, Purest and most Original form of Hard Core Hip Hop. They, along with other rappers like LL Kool J., Curtis Blow and Grand Master Flash were so original, so talented, and clever with words that they never had to resort to black on black hate rap coupled with profanity.

    Much respect to them!

  • @Solowizard Whoa whoa whoa...none of that Fuck 2pac. 2pac is a completely different genre of music. I LOVE Run DMC, they are pioneers they are the shit. You should be sayin' FUCK LIL' WAYNE, and all rappers like him.

  • @Solowizard ..THERE WASNT EVEN ANY BLACK ON BLACK HATE CRIMES BACK THEN... the whole gangsta thing back then wasnt even associated with black people when this movie was out.. you have to respect wat is talent now and wat was talent back then during the changing times . FUCK JAY Z ..man FUCK U.. to say that you obviously need to do a bit more reearch in your chosen field my man ... you obviously have no knowledge of hip hop and wat you have said in your bullshit statement i should beat you for

  • @Solowizard FUCK TUPAC FUCK NOTORIOUS FUCK 50 CENT >>FUCK MUTHERFUCKIN SOLOWIZARD FOR YOUR FUCKIN DICKHEAD REMARKS.. wat was the last hip hop cd you listened to ???? ll cool j s greatest hits??? man you have no idea at all to be saying shit like that .. please just answer me one question honestly>>> ON WAT FUCKIN GROUNDS DO YOU BASE YOUR STUPID ASSS comments on about these rappers??? pls tell me , iwant to know cause jay z is if not the best , one of the best lyricists the game has ever seen

  • @rewtyd,

    F.Y.I.

Sorry, but I'm not down with the black on black hate rap that usually translates to a higher black on black murder rate that's popular among low life, no good for nothing, ain't never gonna amount to shit, juvenile delinquents like yourself. You can keep your self hate rap, and I'll listen to Paris, LLCool J, Will Smith, Run DMC, Mantronix, GrandMaster Flash, Africa Bambata, Man Parrish's "Hip Hop Don't Stop", Pete Rock and CL Smooth, Big Daddy Kane, Heavy D and the Boyz,

  • @Solowizard You can add EPMD and KRS 1 to the list.

  • Comment removed

  • @Solowizard fuck tupac? whats wrong with you

  • @dany281092, Get off ya bandwagon. Tupac was a hip hop hypocrite.

  • @Solowizard he was actually better than biggie. i agree with the others that your dissing but tupac? tupac is one of the greatest, if not THEE greatest rapper and is truly number 1
